I am travelling this Wed and finding your vlog really helpful. Learnt from your previous video that we need American travel adapter lol. Would be good if you could cover the following as the check in app has literally nothing covered around this: 1. what is complimentary in food and beverages and what is paid for 2. What are free entertainments/events you can attend every day 3. How crowded are the most go to places and any cheats to avoid getting stuck in peak times 4. Food and beverages menu and the quality of the complimentary food 5. How long are the walks from your deck to the restaurant as my wife has MS so difficulty walking but can walk slow and short distances 6. Are there tea coffee machines in the room or have to walk to the central resturent and get one made? 7. Did you see people flying drones when the ship was docked? 8. How do we know what clothes to carry as you mention white night formal night but app says nothing about it 9. What TV channels are broadcasted on the room TV. Can we watch netflix youtube paying a cost? 10. What is the speed of internet vroom purchased. Is it unlimited and provides video streaming? For a first time traveller it is all the primary questions that come to mind. Many thanks
Give it my best go. 1. The only extra costs for foodare the specially restaurants, which you can book via your app, as for drinks all alcohol and Starbucks coffee are extra, there are free coffee ant tea all around the ship as with certain juices. 2. All the entertainment events are free except for bingo. 3. Certain times the windjammer buffet was fairly crowded, other alternatives are the Solarium Cafe or the main dining room for brekky which was empty. The main theatre gets packed for the shows so good to get there 15 to 20 mins early to get a seat. The Solarium pool area normally had all the chairs taken fairly early. 4. I thought the quality of food was pretty good, we got a little bored of the main dining room and found ourselves in the buffet most nights cause the variety was better and more flexible 5. We were on Deck 8 aft of the ship, so in the muddle really. There are lifts situated at the back and front of ship for those that can't walk far. Main dining is on deck 3 and 4 and buffet on 12 from memory. I ran everywhere cause I'm quite fit so didn't take too much notice. 6. There is a kettle in the room with full tea and coffee there. I took my own latte sachets with me and made my own coffee. 7. No saw no one flying drones from the ship. They took note of those who had drones like myself and recorded your room number. I flew my from when I got off the ship. 8. I can't remember if the app mentions what nights they have. I've done 5 past cruises with Royal so I know to pack formal, white, 80's and tropical only if you want to. 9. Pretty basic TV really, we didnt watch much TV but the channels are a mixture of royals own channels, which has the cruise director on it, a ship cam channel, and a couple of movie channels no netflix or UA-cam. 10. I didn't purchase any internet packages, over priced for my liking and slow. I used my own data roaming through my mobile phone service which was like $5 a day.
Looks awesome and also a little cold. What dates did you sail. Going in March this year can't wait, after watching this im thinking I definitely pack more warm clothing.
Went on the 13th of Nov last year. We missed Dunedin due to bad weather and the cruise after us missed dunedin and Wellington. We had 10m swells on the way over. Wasn't too bad just a slight rocking motion. Milford Sounds was magnificent but the others were hindered by bad weather. We missed the last sound as well. Weather has been hit n miss locally and abroad this year. The rest of the ports were beautiful and sunny. So pack at least one warm jumper.

Its good know what to expect before im on the ship without a jumper 🤣, was good to watch your video to see what what my identical booked NZ cruise will be like. Dunedin has been completed removed from our itinerary now, im assuming it's been removed forever due how many times it ends up cancelled, I hear it alot that's the port everyone misses. @TheSk8cash Yeah probably a good idea they cancel that port. Must be due to high winds and heads that makes navigating a large ship a nightmare. Thanks for watching.
