Poland has some great stamps, I especially love: the series of famous Poles through history (with the ornate border), and the generals of 1939, the multiple bird series, and the 5 se-tenant European bison set. I would love to learn more about some of them, Graham?

Enjoyed the vid....I have a nice collection of BVI, never been there but that is part of the joy of collecting....hoping and maybe one day appearing on those tropical shores or wherever we are thinking about....stamps have taken me to more countries than I have travelled and that number is getting fairly large now..... with gratitude for your efforts.
Fortunately this doesn't happen too often to me, it is a bit upsetting when a gorgeous stamp has been pen marked (sometimes in very interesting ways) it's good to know that our postal services are aware of this issue and trying to do something about it. Hi and thanks for the great new episode. One minor correction, even though technically you are not wrong. There are stamps with "Virgin Islands of the U.S." on them but they are revenue stamps, not used for actual postage. They have Scott's code of R ( revenue, documentary ), RF ( playing cards ) and RJ ( tobacco tax ). These stamps are fairly expensive and are not in most stamp albums since they are considered to be Cinderellas as you discussed in a previous episode. I collect US stamps and have none of these stamps, some are affordable but difficult to find!

@@ExploringStamps For some reason my album contains nothing from several of the protectorates - Virgin Islands or Hawaii, it does have Guam, Cuba, Philippines, Canal Zone, Puerto Rico and the U.N. I only collect what's in the Harris Album so I probably won't look for the Virgin Islands. I do have world albums up to about 1950 for "stuff" I find as a fluke, so you never know! Thanks for your great series!!!
