  • Given how many job guides I've done this was an inevitability.
This is all subjective of course, it is not a be-all-end-all reflection on the state of the current meta; far from it.
I'm keen to hear what you all have to say about yours and why.

Id say Blue Mage is the best for me in my opinion, they are customizable to your play style.. high damage output, self skill chain, job traits you can change out, the jobs lore is amazing, lastly the unique debuffs.

BRD remains my favourite job, just because of how versatile it is as a solo job. Even if it lags behind my RDM a bit in terms of non-Nyame damage and survivability, it has one of the most complete toolkits for doing almost everything solo. I think the only major hole BRD suffers from is healing, but the survivability, mobility, crowd control, enfeebling, and damage output are all there for solo play. And of course it's a fantastic support.

Yeah, I'd say I agree with pretty much all of this, minus personally not really enjoying pup as much as some people, but I literally primarily play with a hardcore pup main so like... I know how insane it can get.
Personal list would probably be something like....
    1. Sch - it's the only job I've played in this game that like, SUPER pushes my ability to play well. As someone that's by far in the top 0.001% of players for most games I play, that says A LOT about just how much ridiculousness you can get out of it - It's like rdm used to be at 75 cap.
    2. Nin - I learned during aby just what nin can do, though I actually started playing it back at 75 cap. I really ~want~ to get back into it, but just haven't had the time and gear sets necessary to really make it work after my latest break from the game.
    3. Brd - I know, I know, weird choice, right? Well... I was a brd main at 75 not because I enjoyed the insta-invites, but because I legitimately loved the job. I'm like 90% sure I was the #1 brd/nin puller on asura for years. I literally invented the e.ron (s) parties back in the day. And it's only gotten more fun in the years since. - Brd is a weird job that almost no one plays well, but is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING when played right. Did you know that you could actually outparse most jobs at 75 cap if you went overboard with brd? and you had brd buffs built in on top of that! - Mandau or Carn/Joyeuse, Byakko's haidate, gear haste in the ranged slot, shadows, easiest job to haste cap in the game in a vacuum, aoe RR when things turn to [redacted], one of the best 2 hours in the game, brd was freaking insane. But almost no one ever played it as a melee back in the day, and for some reason STILL don't despite having 20+ freaking minute songs. Seriously. People. MELEE ON YOUR BARDS.
    4. Rdm - I mean, come on, my #1 job is Sch and my #2 is Nin and my #3 is Brd. Rdm is basically all of those combined. Of course I'm going to say Rdm 4. - I really don't know what I can say about rdm that isn't common knowledge at this point. It's an amazing utility job. It cheeses so much. It's stupid good.
    5. Dnc - I used to play dnc. I haven't in a while. I really, really, REALLY miss the job. I'm just stuck on other jobs so much to the point it's not really worth doing it when I know someone else that isn't on those jobs that does play it. - Dnc at 75 cap was amazing. Dnc during aby was amazing. Dnc during VW was amazing. Dnc during SoA was amazing. Dnc during Escha was amazing. And Dnc now is amazing. I'll always remember the days I played with a mythic dnc fondly, as there's really no other job that can just pull a 440k solo SC out of their rear end like DNC can.
Now to extend this to cover the rest of my mains....
    6. Cor
    7. Drg
    8. Pld
    9. Geo
    10. Sam
Now if I actually played them, I'd probably put RNG and THF significantly higher than SAM.
    Additional notes
    Easiest job to play: WAR
Easiest job to gear at time of writing this that isn't a +5 geo: SAM
Easiest job to get a group on: RPMA PLD, REMA BRD, Yagrush WHM, +8 Death Penalty COR
Hardest job to get a group on: BST
    Hardest job to play: SCH
Hardest job to gear: RDM if not counting REMA, PLD if counting REMA, GEO/RUN if counting time locked content.
Most worthwhile REMA to get: RNG Mythic, Yagrush, Burtgang, Aegis, Death Penalty, Duban, All BRD REMA, Idris, Nirvana.
Best solo jobs: PUP, RDM, Ubergeared PLD
Worst solo jobs: non-ubergeared WHM, WAR
    Best group job: COR
    Worst group job: BST
    Most satisfying job: SAM
    Least satisfying job: SAM
    Most frustrating job: SAM
    Most frustrating group job: SAM
Job most likely to make you hate other players: SAM
Job most likely to make you quit the game because people keep interrupting your 6-step solo SC after step 4 but before step 5: SAM
Job most likely to make you quit the game because people are stupid: WHM

My favorites are Monk, Dragoon, and Warrior(in that order). 3 DDS that fill different DD needs. I've always thought Ninja, Dancer, and Dark Knight look really fun too, but never got around to gearing them up because of inventory space, lack of time, and probably not getting to play them much anyways even if I had them geared. But for me:
    1. Monk - It became my favorite about 3-4 years ago (pre mnk update) when I met some Japanese players who believed in me and let me pull it out and play it in any Omen, Dynamis, or Ambuscade. That was back when everyone thought monk was kind of trash tier and a waste of time, but the fact that I got to clear so much with it during that time has made it keep a special place in my heart (that and it's fun punching and kicking everything to death). I hadn't really been able to use it since the Abyssea days when I could tank on it. Now that people see the value of subtle blow, and since the update it has become a top tier DD, I'm glad I get to play it a lot more. Also all of the REMAs are really interesting in my opinion in different ways, even though Verethragna is considered "best" just because in full zerg it can crank out the most DPS in 3 minutes, all of monk's weapons are pretty good and can cover different needs, and leads monk to a lot of interesting builds.
    2. Dragoon - I think it's just a super versatile DD job. I love the ability to build TP super fast with jumps, and the ability to control your hate with ease. Also, it's a great solo job(even before trusts) because of healing breath, and the job has gotten a lot more durable recently from Odyssey, and it's also gotten easier to control your Wyvern's HP/defenses. I also like how each REMA adds something interesting to DRG and changes it's style while still keeping the overall theme of the job, and I don't really think there is a bad REMA(similar to monk, although I'm sure the spreadsheet number crunching crowd will fight me on that), at least 3 of their REMAs are considered end game viable by the majority of the community, which is hard to say for other jobs. It might be my favorite job, but the fact that a lot of your power is tied into your Wyvern being alive, the fights with too much AOE or CC when you can't keep it alive is a real bummer for me still.
    3. Warrior - I honestly like how versatile Warrior's weapon choices have gotten recently, there are a lot of different builds that are now being seen as end-game viable, which in my opinion is a good thing. You can play Naegling fencer warrior, dual wield axe warrior, fencer farsha, or good old great axe and still be considered for lots of content. There are lots of different play styles which keep it interesting and fresh if you get bored of playing it a certain way. For me, that's a huge plus. Not only that, but warrior is surprisingly decent solo with trusts for a lot of content in the game. If you're not just into trying to max your dps, it has a lot of interesting ways to be played as a tank with trusts using a shield. Of course, it'll never be as good of a shield user, or as tanky, as PLD, but it's long been a fun job for me to play solo with trusts and do stuff.

As a long-time drg main and easily in the first 5 Rhongo owners....
Gungnir is trash and deserves to be perma-stored as a lockstyle piece only.
It's never provided anything worthwhile since mythics became a thing.
Geirskogul is just trash, the weapon itself adds nothing, and with the rema augment updates making even the "cheap" relics now cost over 100M? It's NOT worth the investment in any way unless you're a multi-gil-capped player making rema for lockstyle purposes only, and even then, prime polearm now generally looks better.

    • @Nelekets
      @Nelekets Рік тому +1

@@AtomicArtumas "Trash" is definitely a strong word. It's not trash, it's just not better than other REMA options. I'd argue R0 Gungnir is better than R0 Ryunohige, but Gungnir is definitely the worst R15. Still not trash though, because you can do nearly all the content in the game with it(content that DRG can be good at excluding naegling spam obviously). I made Gungnir as my first ever REMA back in the abyssea days with a small group of friends, and I currently have it at R10 just from using spare crystals from Omen farming. But, I haven't used it much since getting my Rhongomiant R15, and it's just a passion project now. I do use Gungnir on odd things here and there for fun(random Ambuscades, Omen, Dynamis, nyzul isle, Apex bats lol), but if I'm going for high dps on the parse, then not really using it. I was working on the mythic before I quit, which would have lowered the play rate more, admittedly.
I haven't played in about a year, so I'm not sure what you mean by "rema augment updates".. what did SE change recently?

@@Nelekets what are your thoughts on Rhongomiant versus Trishula?

    • @Nelekets
      @Nelekets Рік тому +2

@@prolaeusmorris6540 I think it's a difficult argument because there are so few people who have both at R15, because Rhongomiant is on the hardest and longest empyrean path, so most people decide to go the H2H route instead. I don't have Trishula currently, I decided to go with other Aeonics first and never got Trishula. So, most of the arguments for these weapons just comes from spreadsheat data and theoretical analysis from people in the community.
I'll just say, that I love my Rhongomiant so much, that I don't think I'll ever even build Trishula. Here's what I'll say: DRG is really good at building TP, so it's easy to keep the 3k empyrean aftermath up. Gameplay with the empyrean feels really smooth because of the nice white damage, DRG can build a nice white damage set similar to WAR or DRK. Of course, you're not going to have the TP bonus, or the +10% Stardiver damage from Trishula, but I feel like the empyrean white damage boost, and TP overflow from jumps etc really make it not much of a gap, if any. People will yell and shout that using one Camlann's Torment at 3k is a huge disadvantage and gap.. but honestly Camlann's isn't weak with all of the WSD and PDL gear in the game now. Obviously, you can't ultimate skillchain either without Trishula which is another check for it.
TLDR version: both are really strong in different ways, if you play to their strengths and block out the haters from the other side, you'll be perfectly fine. On a side note, I don't plan to build Trishula, but I'll build Ryunohige and R15 when I return to the game someday!

Also I'm soloing with trusts and still clearing base content. But I dont feel like I've learned anything new from the old days. I'd like a chance at least, like it used to be. My experiences are outdated with the current state of the game, so I can't speak from that level, but I have played FFXI since late 2003, so I can speak for my experience in two decades of the game's life.
    5. Thief - My first taste of a job with any solo capability. It was my second 75 in eons past, and one of my first 99s. I don't love it as much as I used to, because I moved onto more complex jobs, but particularly at the 75 cap it was one of my go to jobs for getting sidegrade NM drop solos accomplished. I still like it, Triple Attack innately has always been amazing, especially with near cap on Haste.
    4. Ninja - This was actually my third level 75 job and one of my first 99s as well. Back in the day I loved it so much that I capped my Throwing Skill long before Daken or Sange were ideas for Throwing being viable. During the Abyssea /Pre-Ilvl 99 - Era I used Migawari to great effect against the Discoid chariots and other lethal boss techniques. At 75 cap I did a lot of crazy solos with /dnc. The only taste of it I never had was tanking an HNM or anything like that, though I had born witness to it several times. Of course, this means I also enjoyed the job pre-Yonin/Innin. I still enjoy it to a great degree, but it's not my ultimate favorite.
    3. Monk - I actually wanted to be a Monk main waaaay back in 2004, but I opted to not be one when told by a bevvy of people that it was hard to gear at max level, and to only level it if it was my ultimate love. So I got it up to subjob level and put it away until Abyssea truly neutered the difficulty of EXP. Once I had it leveled, I finished getting a Black Belt for it before HNMs became poppable, actually getting the last Adamantoise Egg that came from 21-24 hour spawned Aspid on the Asura server. I then used it in great effect to Counter Tank every applicable Abyssea boss, starting with Raja. I love the Hand to Hand weaponskills, particularly Dragon Kick, Raging Fists, Asuran Fists, and Howling Fist. Nowadays I'm a little confused by new Boost, but it still attacks hard and fast and powderizes bones.
    2. Red Mage - My love on a spiritual level. Before picking up FFXI I wanted to be one, due to my experience with the original Final Fantasy. Back in the day though, my first ever RDM PL and my second great friend in FFXI warned me that I wouldn't like it, because it was relegated to being solely a support job by the playerbase. He was right, so I waited a long while and did things on my own with it once that era was over(Abyssea and later). During the Abyssea times I actually leveled it slowly on an alt, and soloed all of Chains of Promathia alongside my leveling process, since the level cap restriction had been removed. Level 50 for Chapters 1~3. Level 65 for Chapters 4~5. Level 75 for Chapter 6, and then I finished it off to 99 to finish 7 and 8. I used it in great effect to duo Salvage II with my girlfriend at the time, her as Blue Mage and me as Red Mage. I also used it when I returned to game to finish Seekers of Adoulin and Rhapsodies of Vana'diel. I'm not the best ever, far from it, but I do love soloing with this job and all of its enfeeblements.
    1. Warrior - My first love. The first job no one told me to not level. The first job I actually made headway with in the game. Before getting serious with this job I had a great deal of difficulty trying to take up jobs like Dark Knight or Monk. It was my first level 75 job, reaching that state in early 2006. I became the token WAR of several HNM and Endgame Linkshells. I got kicked out of many EXP parties for keeping my Sword, Great Axe, and Polearm skills up to date PRIOR to the two-handed fix update in 2007. My favorite thing about this job was people early on misunderstanding that its 2hr(1hr) Mighty Strikes affects any physical weaponskill, transforming any of them into powerhouse moves. I have a fond memory of hitting Jailer of Love at the level 75 cap with a Mighty Strikes Steel Cyclone for 2284 damage, with Jailer of Love promptly hitting me with a Fluorescence buffed tentacle swing for 1701 damage, one shoting me. Prior to Abyssea I skilled up Scythe, Great Sword, Dagger, Club, Staff, and every weapon available to to their maximum skill values for it. People called me crazy, but when Abyssea dropped, I already had access to nearly every Red and Blue weakness, turning me from a token master of the job to an ultimate pivotal player. With Ninja support and its high damage, I also used to tank for old style Dynamis on it with expert shadow management. In all of the groups I was a part of, I was the king of anything we zerged.
Even with my glory days long gone, it still holds a special place for me, as I have a love of weaponskill variety. My favorite bosses are ones that switch their physical damage type received, like Jailer of Temperance, because that is where WAR truly shines in my opinion. In spite of using RDM for the Lion's Share of my Seekers/Rhapsodies missions back in 2016/2017, I had to use Warrior to beat Cloud of Darkness. My RDM gearsets and skill level at the game meant I kept timing out on Cloud of Darkness, so I turned to what I consider to be the king of damage. Using Warrior sub Dark Knight, even in shoddy ramshackled barely i119 gear, I was able to hit the damage cap with Resolution and kill the Cloud of Darkness long before timing out, giving me just a taste of the old days.
Currently I'm working on a character where I'm leveling every job, in order to record every level 70 Genkai fight. I'm getting to experience jobs in depth more than I ever did back then, and though I know they no longer reflect their old selves, I am finally free of the playerbase driven stigma behind each job, at least for the time being. It is my opinon that the playerbase has always ultimately been responsible for holding back certain jobs, usually for lack of understanding, but also for the fear of actually learning how to make them work. Funny coming from a WAR main, I know, but it'll always be how I feel.

I have gone back and forth on various jobs... The ones that have stood out are the ones that taught me of FFXI and even fun ways to try and play it.
    NIN, DNC, WAR, MNK, DRG
I learned SC's through Ninja and Warrior and I also learned how to use various weapons / what kills what enemy with Warrior.
I learned how to tank surprisingly as a NIN, DNC, and MNK (You are right on the tank builds... My first fight was against Achuka as DNC tank lol) I have a full counter build as MNK and Nin is obvious but I would say far more difficult of a tank to work with than the other main ones.
DRG is for funzies and jumping around like a goof, travelling the world with my best buddy Komet. I remember WAY back in the day when the new jobs first came out and DRG was top tier namely cause of its ability to Jump TP up WS's constantly. Then they nerfed :( that was like 18 years ago lol

The game these days is insanely different from how it was at the 75 cap - Consumables? Half the jobs use them regularly, and everyone uses stuff like holy waters.
Gil? You get millions for free every week just from playing.
Ninja tools? You can buy them from a npc with those multi-millions you make every week.
The only costs to take into consideration these days are the "big ones" - How many REMA you need, how much gear you'd need that's nearly merc only (omen bodies, crep gear), etc. - the stuff that costs in the hundreds of millions.
Upgrading a single AF or Relic/AF2 piece to +3 for pretty much any job will cost more than it would cost to play ninja or ranger or corsair for an entire month of 12 hour days.

Stating this because despite all the good gear and experience blu even with all the cool spells many quite strong it still didn't really mesh and play well where it's full potential could really come through. Always seemed like a compromise. I'm wondering if they ever made it more playable and if it got really good. I saw rdm got way better in regards to being able to meaningfully dps now. I came back after 5 years about a year ago, but ultimately left again. One reason was the absurd level of WHM automation you bring up. As a career mage (WHM, BLM, SCH, RDM) I found it discouraging to pit my human reaction speed against people's WHM cure plz mules. Not even going to get into Elemental Magic vs. Melee these days...
I'm glad SCH has been shown a lot of love with Odyssey - it was my fav job to solo endgame content and kept me around for awhile despite the aforementioned grievances.

    • @AtomicArtumas
      @AtomicArtumas Рік тому

Sortie brought offensive mages back, with both BLM and SCH being pretty much the #1 and #2 jobs for it, and no whm bot is going to even hold a candle to a well-played yagrush whm, and you CAN'T play scholar effectively using a bot.
If a bot healer is outperforming you, I'm sorry to say but.... you're just not good. Like many players. My LS has 3 main healers. One's a professional WHM. Best healer we have. Keeps everyone alive almost no matter what the heck happens.
The 2nd is a player's secondary healer/geo dual box bot healer. Does a decent enough job if we have the comp for what we're doing, but can't carry a DD tank to save it's life because it doesn't pre-cast. It doesn't run out of range of aoes. It doesn't react to things like an actual player would.
The 3rd is someone who's just... not that good at the game. The dude buys gil, he plays whm purely to get into content, and I regularly die to simply not being healed for 30 seconds despite being the DD with hate and then getting spiked for 60% of my hp - something I SHOULDN'T die to in stuff like sortie, but that I do, because I'm not being kept topped off.
Yes, #2 is better than #3 there. But #2 is way worse than #1. Because #1 is actually good at being a healer. And doesn't use a single bot program beyond the basic near-necessity of gearswap in the modern day for set swapping. Just. Set Swapping.
Quitting because you can't make it as a main healer honestly says just about everything anyone would ever need to know tbh. WHM is always in demand. Competent SCHs are infinitely in demand. RDM can solo anything you can't easily get a group for on WHM or SCH, and when well geared, can do the stuff you maybe can't get in, because melee rdm is legit these days.

@@AtomicArtumas That is great to hear about Sortie and that BLM + offensive SCH are seeing some love. I absolutely agree with you on the differences between a well-played Yagrush WHM vs. a Cureplz bot, and I thank you stating it so well - although I think you read more into what I was saying than was really warranted. I didn't leave because I couldn't make it as a main healer - I spent the better part of my long career in FFXI WHMing cutting edge content. When I left, there just wasn't much in the way of that type of content for a shell that had almost no gear needs save for peoples 3rd mules. What there was - at the time - could be handled by someone's WHM mule. My WHM, min-maxed to the teeth, was overkill. Anyway, I should have made it clear that my reasons for leaving ultimately had very little to do with the game itself. Rua's comment just resonated when I watched the vid. Even if I can't play anymore, nothing will change my opinion that its community and content make it the GOAT.

I love my DRG :) although it can be out parsed by other jobs in ody seg farm they have to be good and the mix of peircing, blunt (Malignance Pole) and slashing (Naegling) make it a really useful mix. Not to mention that some of the most dangerous mobs are dragons and having ancient circle and dragon breaker availiable against them is really helpful, not weak to a DRG? np you have angon!
Although the wyrvns damage is nothing to write home about the ability when things are going wrong to throw a healing breath out just to help out that little bit is really useful, a little bit more control over it would be amazing but I can't complain when your are in a pinch. What is nice though is the power boost it gives to your jumps makes gaining TP for your next WS almost instant especially mixed in with fly high.
I just wish they would alter the attack penalty on Drakesbane, given that most weapon skills are now so over powered that penalty really hurts a lot.
Finally I feel that 2 of the best looking weapons in the game are DRG only being Trishula and Ryunohige and the purple armor :D

I've noticed in this game, whatever a job is best at, or if it does something no other job can do, that becomes all the job is utilized for and people tend to forget what else the job is capable of doing. I like that every job on this list is capable of fulfilling different roles, and you touch on the different ways to play each job, instead of "this job is great because of this one reason." Except I don't recall you mentioning PUPs as tanks (or maybe you did and I was distracted lol) but I would put them right there with PLD and RUN when it comes to single boss tanking.

Was hoping I would hear NIN. NIN was God Mode before I quit in 2016 being able to pop Innin and stand opposite end any DD and Tank via pulling Hate off any DPS and now that I am back I obviously need Bumba cleared now. Start w/ Yonin then pop Innin once someone pulls Hate always redirects the Mob back to you via Crits going off nonstop.
Nobody was doing such outrageous WSD back then & thank God NIN is able to keep pace so it can still be useful in Groups. Though I still think nobody, including NIN, should be doing 99,999 WSD cuz that’s just making content Too EZ.

    • @AtomicArtumas
      @AtomicArtumas Рік тому

"no one was doing such outrageous WSD"
      DNC was.
No one played DNC hardcore, but it was.
Source: The mythic DNC around that time that carried me through almost all content by basically insta-killing it with a 40k evis into 2 damage capped rudra's for ~440k solo SCs from 40k-> 99k rudra -> 99k darkness -> 99k rudra -> 99k darkness
Pretty much ever since Geo has existed you can reach absolutely stupid damage output, and even more ridiculous ever since idris was obtainable. Bolster iGeo + Dia 3 = 0 def on any mob that doesn't resist geo debuffs, which wasn't a thing they started doing until dyna D and odyssey.
0 def = forced pdif cap.
You can stack both frailty and malaise for 0 def and 0-20% mdef.
Which breaks any hybrid wses as well, like jinpu.
People were doing 50k jinpus on the regular before Nyame, the Jinpu god set, even existed.

Complete with the XIVHOTBAR add-on since RUN has so many abilities the job is really fun for me to play. I just wish the status icons for different buffs were more distinct. DRK is another love of mine, albeit I play it mostly like a WAR. But going full brrrr with Last Resort and a decent amount of quadruple attack is just a blast to watch. And finally, I do really like playing WHM. Near infinite MP, finally an in game tool to let me see party status effects without having to camp the chat. I have a lot of fun on WHM. Although I have been really curious about SCH as a healer since I have primarily used it for nuking.

this ones difficult for me, as i go all over the place with this game. my favorite classes in any game by and large are usually pet classes. as a consequence of this, I favor PUP, SMN, and BST to varying degrees and at different times in my life. I always want to squeeze more out of all three of these, and wish i had more to toy with in all cases. of these SMN gets my main attention, in part because of how defensive ive played it, in the older days. generally speaking if its a thing that can be soloed, and nothing else I have works, I go grab my staff.
my first melee class of interest had to be DNC. theres a lot to consider with it, and ive begun to recognize more and more that my issues with DNC are more than likely a personal failing I have. the idea of the tank DNC really does interest me, much like other classes do, and i need to get more tricky with how i play. my interest in "tankiness" has begun to tilt me into red mage (all the buffs and debuffs) and paladin as of late, and even Ninja's made the occasional draw (so what have people taken for RDM merits?). the more i play this game, the more i find myself split between pet classes and more melee.
then theres BRD. i love bards as a whole, but i have personal issue with design decisions from this era of gaming around them. it's not fair to this bard to compare it to a playstyle more like i wish though(using instruments to inflict range damage as well), so as it is, i Still loved the flow and buff cycles of a bard, even if sometimes I don't want to take my bard out and give it a go again, I Truly hope I find more opportunities to put it to use, though my methods don't really link up with it anymore.

BLU first and foremost, DRK, DRG, PUP and COR would be my top 5.
Mostly all pre-Seekers opinions, but they were just always the jobs that I had the most fun on. Going out seeing a horde of BLU not knowing anything and being able to step out like.. hold my beer. Always a good time, plus just so versatile. Nukes, battlemage, straight up fighter, healer..
DRK was my first love, before BLU was put in, and I still love it to this day. DRG is just a lot of fun too, and being able to share tank with my wyvern in a pinch always surprised people (again, back more towards Abyssea days).
PUP is just all out amazing, I love MNK.. but PUP is just so much more involved, and thereafter rewarding when you get it right.
COR was always fun for me, but I kept it geared.. so it kind of fell onto me when Delve came out as my ticket to get parties. I still enjoy it though, the gratification of getting those lucky rolls. And feeling like a bad ass pirate 🤭

Honestly, there's really no reason to have neglected PUP before Gaol was introduced, as the job was really good even before Mpaca was added--especially for the content available at the time.
It's true Mpaca is a fantastic armor set, but two pieces of Heyoka are nonetheless still necessary to cap Pet: Haste if you are using a melee Automaton. And as far as master DPS goes Tali'ah body +2 and decently augmented Herculean pieces are similar or faster TP, though they obviously sport less PDT and no pet stats. However, an Automaton is unfortunately only a small part of a PUP's overall parse and Mpaca's pet bonuses didn't change that in any drastic manner. In terms of overall performance Mpaca's Cap unfortunately made one of the biggest contributions due to Howling Fist's crazy potential.

I was a nin ta k my entire time in ff11 before i quit. Funny to see its still some peoples #1.

    My top 5 are probably...
    1. RUN
    - i just love the rune aesthetic and the strategy of using your runes mid combat and flipping them around to meet changing circumstances. It was fun in the avatar ambuscade.
    2. BST
    3. PLD
    4. WAR
    5. COR
