@@DedraAmbroseandSnow my heart goes out to you dear one....life is hard sometimes and we don't understand why.....but please TRY to forgive her because you are only hurting yourself...now forgiveness and reconciliation are 2 different things....you forgive to let go of the negative thought patterns that hurt you and then can go on and hurt others due to your bitterness...you forgive to get BACK YOUR INNER PEACE AND POWER! RECONCILIATION is EARNED.....ONLY SOMEONE WHO EARNS RECONCILIATION SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE IN YOUR LIFE!

I hate my ancestors for the atrocities that they committed onto your people. I know it doesn't mean much but I'm sorry. It's disgusting that things like that can even happen, and it's disgusting that it is celebrated(thanksgiving). Whatever Devine being that is out there bless your spirit

CES fortunate to be able to hang on to that type of feeling of who he is I happen to live amongst the white man and the black man and the hatred that comes along with that with them on a daily basis.
Go to the black blogs and see what they say about Native American Indian people. They caught all Native American Indian people $5 Indians because they say they believe that the true Native American Indian are black people.

Dear Edmund Green,in your words are so much wisdom and truth. For so many years I listen to the Native American wisdom your people lived and live in harmony with Mother Earth and you are teaching me a great deal about how to connect with the source Love it,s always about love. You and your people had to suffer through all those decades when the white men stole your land killed your people forced you to live against your tradition but you never gave up your integrety and courage. They still may not listen to your wisdom but they can,t ignore you anymore.

I wish I had a tradition... I’m full Native American, and the tribe I’m in is Oji-Cree...
It’s a lost tribe, and we have no tradition, no traditional songs, no dance, no nothing..
But we do have our language still.. I’m fluent in it. My grandparents and other elders also attended residential school too. My dad and grandparents r survivors and they would tell me and my siblings about their experience

This man has soul if we as Indians would just listen and observe our elders we would learn so much more ,there are to many educated white people who believe they know what is best for us,they don't or haven't lived the way we have for years and years, So just step back listen and watch we listen to our ancestors and I believe that one day it will come together, I am a Indian woman whom only wants the best for my grandchildren and I am also learning our world is changing and if we ourselves don't change we will suffer.
    PEACE TO ALL

A great interview! If the Native Americans will continue to hold on to their culture and nurture their spiritual practices I do not believe it will be too much longer before the rest of America will begin to realize and acknowledge their real value and validity. Many non-natives are already beginning to see the light and incorporate Native spiritual beliefs and practices into what will one day become the predominant, "mainstream" spiritual worldview in America. The days of the fear-based religions are numbered and I, for one, will say "good riddance"! The "Discovery Doctrine", endorsed and promoted by the Catholic Church, was largely responsible for justifying the mistreatment of Native people since the time of Columbus. The world is now slowly but surely waking up to the realization of who was right and who was wrong. My thanks to all Native people who find the strength to persevere!

    • @gatorsonthe54th43

Richard. That's true. Though many are true loving people. These religions have people that follow them for the good reasons ...and are not deceivers like the one's who used it to abuse people...and take from people. There still are those types of course. Maybe there will always be ..but the majority of people in the world are the same....they want love and they want to love...sometimes even if they don't realize it.

Beautiful and enduring 1:07 message of openness and peace and harmonious coexistence. 💜 I really want #FirstNations and other POC voices and communities to be elevated and to receive the reparations they deserve for harms done and injustices perpetrated on their communities, have their tribal sovereignty recognized and affirmed, and to have their treaties honored and reinstated, and to have policies affecting the wellbeing and safety and autonomy of their people, identity, customs and culture respected as much as possible. Peacefully coexisting can be enriching and bring prosperity for everyone. There ARE ways of fixing the harms done and moving forward.

Everyone should just state positive remarks. If any remarks appose this video then there is no need to for it. Those that have or will do know they themselves have a darkness in them to not share positive words. Everyone has light in them. I agree upon the process of being born into a world of control and deep negativity of untrue ways so humans can live and be happy. Love is the outcome with openness. We are all this.

Reservations should be our own country but the government wants the lands. It happened just 2 years ago at standing rock. And even more. We need a certain amount of blood quantum to be recognized as native. And we need a card for our blood quantum and a tribal ID. If we dont have that then we're not native. More natives breed with other races. If natives keep doing that then there will be no more natives to uphold our land treaties. The blood quantum must be taken away and we need our own government system but still live traditionally. But they want our lands so it's near impossible.

If you're Hispanic and if you're brown, you have more native blood than most federally recognized natives. If your parents were not enrolled in a reservation, then technically, you will not be recognized as a native american. My dad is only considered 1/2 native but hes extremely brown and his dna results have him at 90% ojibwe. My dna is 55% ojibwe but I'm considered 1/4 on my blood quantum. The blood quantum laws are pretty messed up

The old ways, beliefs, our ancestors (the Huhugam) language is soon going to be lost. Kids have no interest in it. They'd rather be wannabe thugs& gangsters. But because of my father being the last of the elders, I will make sure my kid's kids and so on know where we come from and who we are. Bless this man's soul my se'he(creator). We as humans need to remember Who we are and Where we come from. Spiritualty was wide spread once upon a time, until Empires and colonialists used religion to control and divide people. Same people created money which is Nothing!

The real power behind indigenous peoples healing is their love despite the historical atrocities their peoples have suffered. the western mistake was to assume that love was a weakness when yet is the most powerful gift. to force another or control someone is not power. it is barbaric.

There is no unified Native American belief system . The tribes can be similar but they are distinct .
