Alright... wow. It's been a very long time since my last comment, but i think, no i am sure, this thing deserves an award. I always knew in my heart, you belong to group of editors who are gifted and in that group is one smaller group, of editor who takes editing on their own level. Through watching this, i was feeling like i am watching the work of editor who cooperated with Quentin Tarrantino, without kidding, this is really astonoshing piece of art.
I always admire people who are trying to be original and put little of theirselfs into the editing. Thats what editing should look like and should be. Not copying anyone, just be yourself and you Noam? You give into this at least 3x much. Somehow i was in station where i was sleeping in ur vid and also could watch it for 2 hours. You ask Why ? Well, its calm, the voice you chosed, the music and atmosphere you create with this and how could i forget MOMENT OF SURPRISE, no one is able to predict what scene will be last, what topic will follow and which way this edit goes on.
Another thing is the choice of shows, first i was being little annoying how Ratio changes from one black border to another, but then i got used to it very quickly, it was same thing when the director chooses his way of doing things and i told myself "This is Noam, it shouldn't surprise me he chosed to be original" now for real, i get some older films are in small ratio and zooming would ruin it, now i love it actualy. It really fits to the theme you followed it.
There are two things, which completely turned me away and amazed me
1. The work of text, its so smooth (Change of scene with another sentence in the music), really well done here
2. Time is Flat circle reference, i havent seen anywhere before, thatt editor used his own video into edit + edit it into te way he is watching it (Joker looking into TV)
Noam, i wish to say more, but i really find words hardly of three reasons.
1. Don't want to repeat myself
2. Don't take ur precious time to read this bs
3. You are great, but you already know that.
