Another really fun conversation! Anime/ manga chat was interesting to listen to. I heard about Superman making little Supermans from one of Sanderson’s lectures. Also, Sanderson has mentioned Haruko No Go being a major inspiration for Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, along with Final Fantasy X and Your Name, of course. I still need to read Yumi.
I tried to get into Gundam, but there seemed like so many different shows and I didn't know where to start. Do you know where one should start with that show? Great convo! Man, just so many things were talked about.
@@christhewritingjester3164 Gundam is overwhelming lol, so many shows, different timelines, etc. I think there's a few places you can start - if you want the main Universal Century timeline, I'd probably start with either the original Mobile Suit Gundam from the 80s (it's abbreviated into 3 movies on Netflix) or if you think a dated show like that will bother you, I'd go with the more recent prequel called Advent of the Red Comet. Other starting points could be Gundam Wing if you want the 90s/00s vibe, Iron Blooded Orphans if you want a more modern style, or even G Gundam if you want the shonen tournament arc version of Gundam lol. The crunchyroll youtube channel has a video essay going through the various timelines in Gundam if you're interested!
@@NerdLevelRising I don't mind dated... I'm dated lol. Thanks! I've added the Netflix one to my list and I'll check out the Crunchyroll channel after those.
@@christhewritingjester3164 lol awesome man hope you like it! The 80s show definitely holds up with plot and character and everything, although the sound design is far from amazing lol
I enjoyed my morning coffee listening to and watching my two favorite UA-camrs.
