🇻🇳 STIR-FRIED EELS WITH GLASS NOODLES: Boil and stir-fry eel meat with fried onions and mini onions. Stir-fry glass noodles and spring prouse with soy sauce, family sauce, cooking oil and MSG. Place in a dish and then add the eels on top. Garnish with scallion and serve.

🐤 BIRD NEST YOGURT: Soak the bird nest in water for 30 minutes. Tear into small pieces and place pieces in a minipot with pandan water. Use the bain marie method to steam them for 30 minutes. Grill all the fruit to enhance the sweet taste and then place the fruits in a bowl. Add asean palmyra palm seed and shredded coconut in the bowl. Pour bird nest and yogurt in the bowl.
🐦 GRILLED OYSTER WITH BIRD NEST: Dipping sauce: Smash chillies, garlic and sugar together in a mortar. Add fish sauce and stir. Cook it for 1 minute with cooking oil. || Cut mango paper into small pieces. Grill the oysters. Add bird nest, mango strings, shredded coconut, dipping sauce and vinegar sweet water into the oysters. Grill for 5 minutes and then serve.
🐤 BIRD NEST WITH ROCK SUGAR: Use a bain marie method to steam them for 30 mins and add rock sugar in it. Serve when it's cooked through.

Anyone remember when Top Gear did their Vietnam special - riding from South to North Vietnam... how much Hammond struggled with the food (as he's basically an overgrown child), and Clarkson and May just winding him up with snake for dinner... if only that had been done now, and they met Sonny coming the other way - Sonny could of given Hammond a heart attack

Why on earth would you compare Richard Hammond, a motoring journalist with Sonny, a food reviewing expert! There are a lot of things Richard Hammond is good at and he adds a certain element to the trio which would be missing without him. It's sonny's job and passion to try out food from anywhere no matter what it is or how extreme it sounds or looks or tastes but Jeremy, May & Hammond sets out for motoring adventures, food is just a part of their outings.

@@shakilahmed9348 i dont understand the idea of portraying that top gear idea or style, they were scripted and this is even more uncomfortably scripted in a sense they get a letter or note telling them what they are doing, but they already know what they are doing so to me personally its pretty just cringe i guess.
especially when sonny literally is here to portray the environment and food culture etc. just seems bizarre and off-putting in a sense to me, soooo much more production technically, all for little to no actual gain over the usual style of videos in my opinion.
but still good either way!
I absolutely love Sonny's videos, presentation and reviews. He is so genuine and such a natural. His videos also are more enjoyable as they are also infused with humour. For my family and self, he is THE BEST out there.

it's like eating delicious plastic.
It's made from mung bean instead of wheat so it's not chewy like typical noodle. It's has a soft and smooth texture.

Ann Marie Glass noodle pairs well with soy sauce so that must be part of the sauce, the eel would give it a savory deep flavor and sweetness and as he described it's also quite peppery.

This is a super interesting educational video. Thank you so much Sonny. My Vietnamese patients always brought this "Yen" with them to the hospital in a small 4 ounces jar and they drink it at least once a day, especially my cold, lung cancer patients.

I'd say that damn bird saliva is overrated & overpriced in every country
as a medicine it's not that potent or effective
there's another ingredient (herbal medicine) that cheaper and work just like Bird nest
In terms of taste, Bird nest soup is taste bland not tasty at all unless you add some ingredients like meat, fish or shrimp to make it better.
In short, are Bird Nest good for your health
the answer is Yes , but not that much.
Instead of buying $100 small portion of swallow nest product
it was better to buy a healthy ingredients to cook for the whole family
believe me, I know bird nest very well

Birds nest like these were originally collected from caves in Malaysia. Nowadays bird nest houses are built everywhere for the swiftlets to house and build nest.

My parents are from China and I’ve had a type of birds nest stew too and if you don’t add anything it actually tastes like nothing it’s actually pretty refreshing if you eat it cold with sugar on a hot summer day. Edit: I wrote this before finishing the video I did not notice they they also ate this dish but it was hot instead of cold
