Thanks for sharing I just brought first time in door plant at my place and listening your tips for how to take care of indoor plants.. Thanks once again Regards from canada Vancouver and daresalaam africa
Love love love your videos. So much great info and so many times you have helped me understand things I have heard a hundred times from other sources. 😙
Every winter a lot of my indoor plants die.I watered them once a week but when it is spring or summer I watered them 2-3 times a week. This is true use your finger when checking the soil if it is wet or dry. Thank you for the very good information.
1:49 OMG, thank you so much for the gravel tip I've just added some stones to the bottom of my decorative pots for my succulents. My first succulent I accidentally 'unalived' beacuse I watered it AND didn't allow it to stop dripping wet before I placed it back in the pot. So it rotted & died. 😔
I have found you channel and have learned a great deal. I went to a plant swap at a garden shop and came home with 3 plants I had never heard. I have followed you site on the ZZ plant . Do you have any information on growing a Orchid cactus . What about the peace lily or a Kaffir lily these are the ones I just picked up last summer.
For #2 I have been using lids off of my vegan protein jars to raise the inner pot up, so any water still dripping when i put it back just goes directly down. Pumice and rock is expensive & takes up a lot of room, and the lids are up-cycling.
Key overlooked point - gravel or rocks OUTSIDE of the pot. All gravel inside the pot does is raise the water floor since draining between different materials is slower especially when the higher up one is more water retaining
The best way to water your indoor plants is to laying your finger on the top of the soil, if it feels cool and damp...don't water and never let any water stand in the bottom of the tray, I recommend checking every three days.😇
Hello!! Another great video!! 👍🏻 What is your opinion about aquarium water for watering the plants? If you can say something about its potential to fertilize too... Thank you in advance!
Can you please make a video on Co2, if they are needed in indoor greenhouses.. how to use them if so, perhaps how to make them or best ways to optimize Co2?
When you water from the top, should i wait 15 to 20 mins for the roots to absorb the water that come out from the drainage hole? Or is it already excessive water and the roots don’t need time to absorb? I should just pour out any water out from the drainage hole right away?
I don't have fluoride or chlorine in my water. I am on well water that is very hard, so I have manganese and calcium salts that also wreak havoc with sensitive plants. For the sensitive plants, I simply use distilled water. For the rest, I refill my watering cans and just let them sit to allow them to come to room temperature and evaporate what will evaporate.
Thanks a lots for your tips guys! I already use the second tip, but then the roots starts to grow like mad underneath the pot, where the LECA is. Is it a plroblem? If so, what should I do?
Hello I like your tip of watering. But I have questions regarding watering. At my work place we have lots of plants and my colleague were Wareing the plants like bucket of water and each pot dunking in the water and continue to all pots using same water. In my opinion I don't think it is correct way to water.because if any plant is sick it will carry problem thru water to others. Please advise.🙏🙏🙏 Thank you
Other possible reasons for brown spots on only variegated leaves of my schefflera other than over or under watering which I have committed neither of them?
Hi good day! I really love all your video❤️❤️i just want to ask how about the aquarium water? My indoor plants looks fine but i observed the yellowish on the tip of the leaves
That means it’s slightly over watered. Back off on watering and allow the pot to dry 75% in winter and 50% in summer. If it’s pothos fold the leaf and feel if it is resilient and stiff or flaccid. I cut the bottom off of an old nursery pot to two inches and flip it over to get it up out of the bottom.
I repotted some of my plants with good fresh soil. However, I use my finger to test if they need watering and half way down it’s still wet/damp. It’s been like 3-4 weeks since, what do I do?
First video I found that actually answers all my questions clearly and concisely as a beginner. Thanks!
The best programme I ever watched on how to water indoor plants.

Same idea here. I use the nursery saucers upside down in the bottom and it works the same way!

Love your videos! Can you guys do one on cast iron plants?
Hello!! Another great video!! 👍🏻
What is your opinion about aquarium water for watering the plants? If you can say something about its potential to fertilize too... Thank you in advance!
Most "trace minerals" actually concentrate as tap water is left out. Chlorine is the exception. Keep making videos, theyre very helpful!
I googled the water in my zip code. 26 total contaminants and 14 that exceed guidelines...
Thank you so much ❤
