I played with Yang when he came to Florida to promote WSOP circuit events years ago. A generous gentleman at poker table. A bit loose call on $2-$5 cash games. Maybe, he did not care about losing a couple thousands at small stake cash games then.

So much for the psychology. He was aggressive at the right time. Meaning he got lucky as well. But definitely had them balls to push hard and i imagine thats not easy to do in such a big tournament and specially in such big stages of that tournament.

I remember watching this way back in the day... but couldn't remember anything about his win: it was kind of a boring WSOP, boring final table and an uneventful win.
I will say that as a champion Jerry Yang did make the smart decision to not go on shows like High Stakes Poker or other TV cash game shows where the WSOP champ usually loses big because they end up playing for stakes out of their comfort zone.

U don’t know if it’s a sin. Gambling is different now than 3000 years ago. Times change. Can’t interpret the Bible unless ur an expert, need to understand the time of when it was written and the exact meanings. Otherwise Ull notice it contradicts itself a lot. Like about abortion, alcohol and gay sex. Plus other topics. Sometimes it sounds like it’s ok and other times it sounds like it forbidden.
