I like how this takes place in 1926 since that is when the PGB was opened. It also perfectly ties into Troublesome Engines. Another great story from the man himself, everyone.
I think I read that it opened in 1923, but hey, it doesn’t really matter. It is fascinating that the electrics were on the railway as early as the 1920s, long before Henry was rebuilt and Toby was even around.
A great story as always! I always wanted to see a story about the Peel Godred Electric Engines. But I never knew that they could have their own little inside jokes. Quite a neat take on these characters.
Quite a fantastic story Mike. I really enjoyed reading the story when it came out although I didn't know how to actually interpret it. However after listening to this it was more amusing than I thought. And of course it's a interesting take on the electric engines that run the Peel Godred branch. Looking forward to seeing more stories on here and on Twitter.
Edith and Eleanor? Nice names, I vaguely remember the Peel Godred engines from the Extended Railway Series being different colours and mostly male, eitherway best wishes from the midlands as always mate. Looking forward to seeing your future videos.
Thank you so much. A new story in a long time and I would love stories uploaded by you that mention, have and about Thomas since he’s my personal favourite train
focusing on the Peel Godred electric line is a nice breath of fresh air Buried truck something never seen before in the books or TVS, very interesting to look at this part of Sodor. The joke of Eleanor and Edith was entertaining. Oh Edward you sly dog.
I was quite "shocked" to see this! But in all serious, you've done a wonderful job! I also have to commend Streak for the amazing Kenney-esque illustration! By the way, what are Edith and Eleanor's respective basises?
Looks more like something drawn by Peter Edwards, since James has a similar face at least in my opinion to the one in the first illustration of Super Rescue
This story is really interesting. I got a couple questions about this. 1. Is it possible for this story to be adapted in the TV format? If so, that’s great. If not, that’s fine. 2. When making this story, what year does this story take place? If you don’t mind me asking. Keep up the great work! :)
I’m sure it could be adapted into the TV format! I’d be interested to see the electric engines tackled in that style. As for the timeline, this story takes place right at the start of Troublesome Engines, so the late 1920s!
@@TheBuriedTruckThen I supposed Shocked! and Troublesome Engines are 1926. Very well. Thank you for answering my questions. I’ll probably adapted and credit your story in Series 4 to (introduce electric engines) after Duke the Lost Engine’s arc.
If I had a nickel for every time a Thomas fan made an electric engine sound like a robot I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it’s happened twice
Thank you! This story only had the two electric engines - I’m working on some new stories that will introduce some other friends for Edith and Eleanor, though!
Just to ask, what are Edith and Eleanor based on? They look like the type of engines based on the Milwaukee, Saint Paul, and pacific railroad right down to the orange paintwork
Eleanor is based on the NER EF1, while Edith is based on the LNER EE1! I chose orange as their livery since I thought it would contrast nicely with the purple of the Mountain Engines!

That was a grand Development of Britt Altcroft And HIT Entertainment Mattel creation version. You will want to hire for a adaption Mattel creation was selling to the release to Hit Entertainment for billion dollars for the most popular children TV series: Thomas and friends. You make a new characters of two electric diesels.
UA-cam recommend this to me and for the life of me I can't figure out what this is. Is it, like, thomas the tank-engine fanfic? Is there like a wiki or something?
You could say that! I like to write stories based on the Railway Series, which are the original books Thomas the Tank Engine was based on. The author, Wilbert Awdry, published a lot of information about the world/characters he made after he stopped writing, and the electric engines in this story come from that. There is a wiki, which provides a lot of detail on both the books and the show - which differ wildly!
These electric engines sound like they're Adeptus Mechanicus. o_O Heck they sound like Thurston Hillman (@OnCallGm) and i only say that cos i've watched WarHams/RotGrind.
I like how this takes place in 1926 since that is when the PGB was opened. It also perfectly ties into Troublesome Engines. Another great story from the man himself, everyone.
And period accurate too. Being an EE1 and an EF1 which actually existed in 1926.
I think I read that it opened in 1923, but hey, it doesn’t really matter. It is fascinating that the electrics were on the railway as early as the 1920s, long before Henry was rebuilt and Toby was even around.
A great story, Mike! The Peel Godred line needs more stories and more respect. You're the right man to come up with both!
Excellent! 'Bout time we saw Sodor react to electric engines! So much interesing potential!
I’ve never seen the peel godred engines as NER EE1 and EF1 before. Very cool!
does make sense as the canonical confirmed locomotives (BR Classes 86/87 and 90/91) didn't exist when the branchline was electrified in the 1920s
James being scared of electric engines is fun and adds so much
If they kept this stick up till the early 60s. people could have been feared a giant dalek was coming to attack.
A beautiful story from the master Thomas story writer himself. Love the John T. Kenney like illustration.
A great story as always! I always wanted to see a story about the Peel Godred Electric Engines. But I never knew that they could have their own little inside jokes. Quite a neat take on these characters.
That was one of the most refreshingly original takes on the Peel Godred engines I've ever seen! Fantastic!
This was a great story, Mike! It provides a unique take in the Peel Godred engines, while also retaining the classic James and Edward dynamic.
This is a real fun story. I just love how they sound so robotic just for the giggles. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Buried Truck coming back with another banger, really loved this story!
Thanks for this story as always love your stories
Ohh man! This one will be so fun to adapt. what a lovely story!

What a lovely RWS story about James getting to meet the new engines
Great story!
Well..., of all the narrations and voice roles you've Played Mike, this really was the MOST surprising! AWESOME!!!
Thank you so much. A new story in a long time and I would love stories uploaded by you that mention, have and about Thomas since he’s my personal favourite train
Why was I anticipating the electric engines sounding like Daleks?
I love how this is sort of a fun reference to how Awdry said that the electrics are like worms because they have no personality.
That was definitely a big inspiration! We’ll come to see that the electric engines have just as much personality as the steam engines!
This looks promising. I cannot wait to see where this goes! Great story!
Love this story, it’s always interesting to hear about the peel godred line :D
Mike, you’ve done it again. Someone will bring it to life soon. Cheers!
Keep up the good work! I really enjoy the stories you write!

Nice Work On That Story.
I love this and how they were screwing with James.
Oh wow I loved this, great work!
Oh please mike keep up with these great stories 🥺
A great story! They sound odd- robot sounding engines
Yes the buried truck with a great story dont mind if I do
With mechanical voices, I almost thought they were robots.
The electric locomotive sounds like a robot 🤖 considering
A locomotive sounding mechanical? That's ironic.

That's a pretty cool story about the electric engines.
That was a really cool story!
First James meets Jonah the fireless engine, now these two electric engines. ⚡️

I wonder if you can do another storyline about Duck and Oliver helping Thomas and Toby on their branchlines?
