Speaking of SD70Ms. In 2000 Union Pacific made history when it purchased 1000 SD70Ms from EMD. Road numbered 4000-4999. When Big Boy 4014 was restored, SD70M 4014 was renumbered 4479. Later UP purchased an additional 500 SD70Ms from EMD. These road numbers vary. Great video Darryl. Thanks for sharing.

Yep, a lot have been returned to GECX already but I've heard 14(?) of the 4700 bonnets are going along with like 50 other 4700s. Probably more in the future, but since most the ones that will go are already in storage won't make too much of a difference. Just hopefully not the ATSF Warbonnets 🤞.
I think CN bought some D9s as well but I would have to check.
