Really good info here! Helped me diagnose my pump issues!!! The flush out time was my problem too I believe. Had a bunch of build up still left in the line. Thanks again!! You guys are awesome!
I bought a skid from Southeast Softwash and Coty's customer service is really amazing and I highly recommend him and his products to anyone. I love this video, because it really shows that knowing the system is #1 and then the principles of troubleshooting is what can make or break you on the job. Excellent video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I really appreciate all of SESW videos, content, and products. These things have helped me grow my business tremendously in a very short time. I’ve been in this industry for a good while and I am still learning from you guys all the time. Thanks for all your help!!!
I found the best we to flush out a Softwash system is once you have straight water in your line put the wand in a place like a driveway etc where you can’t harm anything and let it run while your getting everything else put away. That hose is always last. Gives you plenty time to flush everything. My pumps last a long time by doing so.
Sensei, you definitely need to catalog these troubleshooting gems as part of Softwash 101. If you aren't already. Great stuff as usual and expected!! What up Dusty!?
I noticed the pump was mounted upside down, I know you can technically mount them that way, but I personally don't feel comfortable doing it. Wonder if that may have played a role in malfunction, especially not rinsing pump out long enough? I have a "Y" fitting to chem tank and water tank just to let it run for a while and rinse out pump thoroughly. Glad he was able to get back up and running to finish the job!
Well we’ve got hundreds mounted that way and it’s actually preferred since if it leaks it’s less likely to get into the electric motor. Just a lack of rinsing our really
Long time subscriber. Love the content. Seems flow restrictions are a common issue. I recall your video when you were trying the 7 gpm 12 volt & it kept popping fuses. An upgrade to 5/8 hose is a little heavier to drag. But I get better distance even with my 5.5 gpm.
Great video! I will be doing the same process of elimination as soon as we thaw out. I have NOT been flushing long enough. Likely the cause... now that I've seen this. Good to know. Thanks, Coty!!
@@southeastsoftwash4020 Yes, Coty. We sure are. I've been here my whole life and I've never seen anything like it. It was 14 degrees yesterday while it was 19 in Anchorage, Alaska! No power for over 4M people and another hard freeze tonight. Thank God for natural gas and my Generac whole-home 22kw generator! That thing has run flawlessly and continuously for over 24 hours at a time. Highly recommended!
Thanks for educating us. I just got my Remco pump this week from y’all. Have you ever had any issues with the pump leaking with the quickconnects? I’m excited to get my pressure pump wired and practice on my house.
Awesome, informative videos ! You literally have a video for every question one may have about your product. Havent finished watching this one yet but w fuses popping maybe sounds like somethings grounding out ?
Had this EXACT issue yesterday. Definitely guilty of not allowing enough time to thoroughly rinse out the system. Process of elimination led us to the same resolution/conclusion.
I'm so confused. Are they using your skid to spray out Roof Maxx. Which I thought was a different product then using just water and SH with surfactant?

Wrap the QC with 2-3 rounds of Teflon tape.
Should fix it

Scratch that thought ..
You mentioned that the pumps hose fittings had easy ones to disconnect. On the trailer builds do you need a heat gun to get the fittings off and on?
Heat gun helps to get the hoses off

What do you mean by running the ball valve half throttle? The valve half open or the actual throttle on the power washing machine?
Not the PW
The ball valve on the softwash wand

No. They Have a separate set up inside the enclosed trailer for that
