Raced amateur’s with Adam on 65’s/85’s his talent and work ethic at a young age was unreal he deserved every sponsor and all the bikes he had. Us kids would be playing in the dirt or playing Mx unleashed in someone’s camper in between moto’s, meanwhile I remember seeing Adam practicing his corners in the pits around some barrels drilling his form over and over.

I was riding the same practice sessions with Adam when he was a lil kid on a cobra 50. Kid was fast, he could keep up with pretty much the entire c practice and some of the a/b guys. Watching him hit the big 80ft table on that single speed 50 was pretty nuts.

@Ryan Clayborn Dude that’s really sad to hear. I’ve always laughed at/disliked 50 dads that yell at them telling them to hold it wide open, and like stand in the middle of the track trying to tell their kids to hit the deepest rut on their little pw50 and it’s like they are just kids you can’t put that much pressure on them. I feel like that would just put pressure on you and take all the fun out of it and make it unenjoyable to ride even.

I believe to be successful for any length of time you must still enjoy it. Nothing will rob you of your enjoyment faster than being pressured to be great. Especially when you're pressured from such a young age. Cuz it's only a matter of time before they realize that it's been a grind longer than it's been a passion. I believe that's why Villapotto hung it up & basically left the sport. Very few people that have these great careers getting paid to do something recreational still do it recreationally for free.

The mental aspect is huge that's can be seen just by comparing a young teen Rider compared to any of the greats who lasted into their thirties they're more cautious plus have already had success so there's a couple reasons going on in their head why not to push as hard as they would if they were climbing the ranks at a young age chasing the championship
