Something important to note! Halo Forger doesnt say YOUR graveyard. It says A graveyard. So while it wasnt super relevant here, this makes it really good against cascade decks as you can cast their spells after they do. This can result in you getting your own Crashing Footfalls or even better, locking out Living end! Because since you re-cast living end to wrath the board, it kills the Halo Forger too. Meaning if they cast a second living end, it brings back Halo Forger, letting you recast it for free, killing all the creatures they JUST got back. Card can be really flexible compared to good ol' Snapcaster!
@@lunarwave4024 Snapcaster gives the spell flashback with mana cost equal to its casting cost. Spells without a casting cost therefore are not given flashback. Meanwhile, cascade and Halo Forger allow you to play the spell *without* paying its mana cost, allowing you to cheat past that restriction
Casting unmoored ego with counterspell backup at 12:35 is just better no? What else are you afraid of besides the Archon? They're at 3 life and tapped out besides 1 treasure, getting their way to win the game out of their deck is just way better than holding up 2 counters.
at 9:50 is there a benefit to countering the spell creativity with drown rather than killing the token with drown in response? wouldn't the creativity fizzle with no creature destroyed and put you in a slightly better spot since opponent would have no creature and a fizzled creativity?
I would very much like more Fearies gameplay. I think there's more to be explored in this deck. Getting to optimizing the old decks, to a more modern game is fascinating and seems fun.
@@a_fuckin_spacemarine7514 given it winning Grand Prix a few years back, it’s only slightly outdated. It’s not close to tier one, however with a few additions it will return to the meta. If you need any proof look up Yuuta Takahashi with his win in Grand Prix.
@@a_fuckin_spacemarine7514 then you are aware that it’s still a strong deck. Not wholly viable yet, but strong. It’s missing a few cards to meet the current threats in the meta but strong. So if by “blah blah blah” you mean “missing a core” then you’d be correct.
I've been thinking of bitterblossom this last week after watching Bosh take it for a spin in legacy. I'm glad it's being used since there is alot of one for one creature focused removal. Seems weak to prismatic ending but that mastermind just pouring in the value.
Id love to see a deck with just Halo forager, electrodominance and As Foretold plus all the relevant no mana cost spells and some number of draw plus discard spells
Awesome video! You have a real natural charisma that comes out when you just speak naturally. You are a very gracious loser and it was obvious you had a lot of fun with this deck.
Bitterblossom counts, because its types are : Tribal Enchantment - *Fairy* (the tribal cycle was a set of cards in shadowmoor and Eventyde where they gave some cards that never have creature types ... creature cards ) (they work the same way as regular instants, sorceries, enchantments... but for cards that care about tutoring or casting or count that creature tribe, they count)
Would there not just be a benefit to just playing as foretold instead of halo forger? You’d be using it the same way and it doesn’t die to creature removal and allows you to instantly play it, and also makes your counters free on your opponents turn.
It's not for Snapcaster Mage but for Halo Forager, because it's a 0 mana sorcery, so you pay X = 0 and can cast Ancestral Vision for free because its "without paying its mana cost" part sidesteps the problem with suspend
I really like youre cutting your video and dont do 2h+ versions of a modern league but im watching it at .75 speed and i still have to go back and think about your turns because it goes fast. Maybe the perfect line is right in between and aiming for like half an hour video or so to give some space for thoughts. Nevertheless really nice informations and video overall i got here from you thanks ❤
Remember that time you drew Unmorned Ego against a combo deck but didn't cast it???? Only to be comboed out the following turn? Yeah.... Those are the good old days. Bob??? What are you doing man? That last Creativity deck was on super weak beats. Why didn't you block the tokens more aggressively?

Sick
Because the suspend cards cost 0 does that mean they work with snapcaster too? if not, why?

This is what I thought too.
I don't think any pro magic player has ever designed a card so fitting for them
Snapcaster was designed for a pro player but Mastermind is definitely a close second.
@@klutzmtg2310 Yeah snap caster is the best player made card
@@starmorpheus mastermind was not designed by him ,they gave him 3 cards to chose from and he chose that to have art of himself
Faerie Mastermind has a really neat synergy with Vendilion Clique

More faeries content!! That was epic
The archon of emeria helping him more than his opponent because he flooded out was hilarious.
I think the better way to use Halo Forger is in a BUG or dark bant cascade deck
I’ve been working on this list!! So much more to test and experiment. Faeries is only getting better.
Lol. EVERYTHING is getting better. The game is trashed.
Considering they're shite, it's not exactly a revelation.

9:49 Isn't just better to kill the dwarf with drown?
Really cool to see two solid Faerie support cards in a Standards set
Im glad to see decks without urza’s saga thank you
Finally!
absolutly love this deck variation.

nah
If you would have a way to discard cards betrail vould be good to get of the fairy.
Liliana of the veil?
How are you supposed to get vision in your yard for halo forger?

See here's the downside, its not a Faerie. And we wanna do Faerie things
Great video! Fun deck!
@17:49 you could've countered that solitude with spellstutter, you didn't cast a spell that turn :0
I liked this deck a lot! :3
Inevitable betrayal
Been trying it in dimir shadow forager + visions with tainted indulgence. Doesn't seem as good as fairies.
Love this deck ! :D
What about mono blue faeries?
12:20 you just could play Ego and name archon and autowin but nooooo ofc not.
Halo Forager+ Glimpse
Love faeries
I don't really understand vision in this deck. You cannot snap a vision right?

Neat
It looks “fairy” stock. Hah!
You mean faerily stock
From A graveyard, not your. It's so much better.
"innovation I added"
Brah you did not innovate that. Every fae deck is putting the new champion faerie in
where is the combo? this just look an ub tempo deck
No profane tutor?
Aggro/midrange decks typically want to have more cards as opposed to specific cards (ancestral vision as opposed to PT)
you don't play tutors outside of combo decks
