    Fantastic job on this video! Glad you like the product! Just wanted to put it out there that while the washers on the lower hinge is a great "life hack" solution to a saggy door, I have installed this product on many FJs without the use or need to make any change to the lower hinge. Just my 2 cents. Thanks again!!

    Was thinking right from the start that it all comes off so easy, wonder what state. Arizona no wonder. Is there a different one so you can still open the window

    This video sold me on this mount. Thanks for sharing this.
    I already have the Smittybilt holder and a Wavian can. I'm curious about where you got the brackets to add to the holder to keep the spout in place. I was worried about losing it since it doesn't fit in snug. Those brackets looked perfect.

      I actualy had some LED light brackets lying around and used those, basically two L brackets, there are ones with slits instead of holes which could make for easier fitting adjustments. Then measured and drilled a hole in the top bar of the Jerry can holder, used a carriage bolt on top, nylon locking nut on bottom and some washers to adjust for the correct hight. Just make sure to measure where to drill the hole in the holder bar so the bolt fits underneath between the spout and the opening.

      Sure thing! I'm loving the mount set up so far, took it out on a trail and it held up very well.

      @@fjcruisin1302 I got the jerrycan mount on this weekend. Your video saved me tons of trouble. I had to add the additional washers on the lower door bracket. I'm so glad you shared that. I'm ready to try it out on a trip to NM this month. I'm looking forward to checking out more of your videos. Thanks again!

    can you do this with it tire cover and camera on the back? Or do you have take that all off?

    • @fjcruisin1302
      @fjcruisin1302  3 роки тому +1

      Not sure, mine doesn't come with the backup camera but you do have to remove pretty much everything, including the spare wheel holder, so if the camera is in there then you might have to unplug and remove, or just carefully work your way around it if it allows for it while uninstalling and reinstalling the spare wheel holder.

      I know this is an old question but for anyone with the same question, the installation of the JM1 or any of the other holders for the spare area have no affect on a camera or tire cover.

    Dang all this just for 1-jerry can. I'd just throw the can in the back cargo, call it a day. 😂
