her performances are always amazing live. it just amuses me how she sings and talks to the crowd and while she's singing in english, everyone just has like, this blank face. o.O kinda like that.

There's some kind of custom where they actually show respect for the person presenting themselves by keeping quiet and not clapping between the intervals of the song either. They usually only clap or cheer at the end of the entire song.
This is what real music, not those shitty rap or techno crap thats just computed loud noises, but the inner voice of the singer themself, that is music by itself.
they're not getting rowdy but they're singing with her. and clapping at some parts when there's an obvious beat. japan's just... a different culture. and I seriously doubt all the people that went to her concert expected... well what she is. She is a gigantic sore spot -- in a good way -- too a (mostly) very homogenous people (exceptions and rebellion always exist).
geez, that audience is boring. compared to her, it's like they're dead. people anywhere else would be singing their hearts out and dancing around like idiots. well... that's what i would be doing, anyways. >o> XD
