Thank you for the in depth review of the new LG counter-depth Max fridge. I have noticed that LG now offers a free 10-year warranty on both the linear compressor AND labor! That's huge! The only thing I would worry about is the motherboard that has had issues in the past.
I am hoping in 2025 they come out with a few more variations. I bought a Cafe range and I would like a new fridge at one point. But I do not want a Cafe fridge due to price. 4500.00 is too much. It would be nice to match handles but not for that steep a price. I have to read more about evaporators and compressors, I am not clear on what is more critical. I thought the Bosch 800 fridges were nice but again rather pricey and smaller. But back to LG Max... I like the UV Nano - I dislike any insta-view business. I currently have a side x side KA from 2003 so I am trying to plan for its demise ;=) I have water on door now but use it less for water, more so for ice. Techs seem to feel those units in fridge area are problematic. I have not had a single issue with my KA dispenser in 21 yrs. But gather today it is a new story. I am mixed on that convertible drawer that does soft freeze vs fridge. The counter depth max sounds great to me as I must have a counter depth. So I am keeping my eye on this line in 2025. Appreciate your reviews as ever.
We just decided on the LG LRYKC2606S over the previous gen 4 door 23 Cubic Foot model. While the doors are thicker - THERE NO handles. Therefore it sticks out less by about 2.5 inches. In some kitchens - like our galley kitchen - every bit helps. So compare depth with handles.
On the models that have the mirror door, is the door cooling plus vent actually the full length like your video shows? All the videos I see about this feature show the full length of the vent having air come out but I saw one in store and the only part of the vent that worked was 2” on the right side, which is basically meaningless. Trying to figure out if that was a manufacturing fluke or how this model is built.

Yeah...a warranty without service people. I could buy a year warranty for about 10 dollars

Is there a video about regular depth refrigerators?
No....Good idea
Was between the counter depth max and the Bosch 800 four door, the difference of $300 was a no brainer for the Bosch.
Cubic food comparison ? External Water/Ice ?
Too bad LG doesn't make a counter depth max with simple internal or external water tap(f&p style) only with dual evaporator. No gimmicks, no nonsense.
Never buy an LG refrigerator they do not stand behind their warrantees. Look at their BBB complaints.
The dealer is supposed to help...BTW, every manufacturer has issues
