- How to change the loading mechanism and carousel belts on a Sony CDP-CX400 400-Disc CD Changer. This will be the same for the CDP-CX455 model as well.

Yep mine did the exact same thing, I found an Amazon package with belts in it that I bought and forgot about. I found ones that looked like they would work, and cleaned the goo. Works perfect. I thought the drive was broken though because I had the cd in the wrong way lol 😂
I did the same thing. On my 33 three, and it came out. Great, but you don't have to take off the circuit board. That's dangerous, that circuit word is very fragile. So you can just take the back off-site 9 screws. And then you can access the belts from there. Anyway, good video. But you're making it harder than it has to be.

You don’t need to do all that work just to do the belts. Just remove the top outer casing, then a few gold screws from the rear, A couple of leads and you can access the belts, I did it this way very quick and easy.

Thanks for this second video! i noticed that you are removing much more stuff than last time. Unlike you, not even my door opens! Wish you would have gone for the third belt so I could see how it's done.
For the third belt you have to take the platter off. There's a screw on top then you pull up from what I remember.
@@jaedarzadon Thanks! I opened mine and saw the black goo on the top two belts, but stopped there for now. I'll clear off my work bench today and get the carosel off and check that third belt. With luck the belts will return it to full function! Thanks again for your videos and instructions.
