Thanks for checking out my reaction to this curveball from stupendium!

Original Description/Links:
Deep within the electronic bowels of UA-cam, beyond the reach of sensible content decisions, where the algorithm dares not tread, you will find a twisted void of improbable and ill-advised videos, where an impossibly popular format meets the most improbable of source material.
You have entered the realm of the Unlikely Cypher.
BRIGHT/FLASHING COLOURS WARNING
I've been made aware that the bright colours in Dr Teeth's verse at 3: 55 might be a problem for people with photosensitivity. Please be mindful of this verse in particular!

It’s 2023! And time to try something new! I say this fully in the knowledge that I actually started this project in 2021, but that’s entirely besides the point. I have always loved the cypher format. A whole troupe of creators coming together on a track with a shared theme. I loved the idea of organising one myself but no good cypher ideas I had felt like a right fit for the channel.
Then an epiphany. Perhaps the best cypher ideas for a channel like mine were the worst cypher ideas. And so the idea of ‘Unlikely Cyphers’ was born! I hope for this to be a recurring series. Not a regular thing, but as often as I can fit them between my main music video projects!
I’m a HUGE fan of The Muppets and have been for as long as I remember. So they felt like the perfect inaugural episode. Mainstream enough that everyone knows them, odd enough that the idea excited me. Strap in, the topics only get weirder from here!
A massive thank you to everyone who came together to work on this with me, I had a blast putting this together and getting to work with so many folks I’ve not had the chance to work with on the channel before, as well as some returning friends! And Especially to Bonecage who not only performed as Lew Zealand, but also composed the beat and mixed this monster of a track!

The Stupendium is a musician, animator and content creator, creating weird, wonderful and usually incredibly nerdy songs and animations. Join them on their journey to obscure, niche internet stardom! They have some pretty decent videos, wonderful facial hair and a great sense of discomfort describing themselves in the third person.
For the Swedish Chef, they just spoke in English with a real thick “Swedish chef” accent, if you read the subtitles, you can hear the words they say
I am not a smart man
@@KingPhaedra it’s in character
Freeced did just know all of this
None of this surprises me 😂
Gonzo's whole thing is he's a daredevil who thinks his stunts are high art. He usually gets booed offstage and complains about the audience being rubes.
There's a lot of references to Muppet lore.
Kermit appeared in many commercials during Henson's early days, and the original puppet was made from his mother's old coat.
Animal was originally performed by Frank Oz, hence the line about going back and being frank for a sec.
The Chef's line about getting a Beretta when Henson left the kitchen, in addition to following up on the previous line about a gun, is in reference to Bill Baretta taking over the character after Henson died.
So gonna list some things from my own Muppets knowledge for your questions:
1. Yes Freeced knew Muppets lore. They actually LOVES the Muppets.
2. Gonzo has relations with chickens.. which is why he can speak it. And Gonzo also is just a creature and they've basically embraced the fact that he's literally anything. And it doesn't matter. Literal gender fluid icon.
3. JTMusic literally sounds like Rizzo... like he didn't even need to put on a voice that's what Rizzo the Rat sounds like.
4. Scooter is a Gofer someone who basically runs everything in the back. He does explain it in the verse of course, but he basically took over for his Uncle in The Muppets Movie that happened like a long time ago.
5. Dr. Bunsen and Beaker. Very iconic characters who basically just make gadgets obviously and they always seem to blow up in their faces and Dr. Bunsen being too proud just loves blaming Beaker since he's basically the intern assistant haha. (I knwo this is obvious from the verse I just love these 2 they're my favorites)
6. Dr. Teeth has more of a grungy rasp voice. Not at all what they gave him. Only some of them are doing voices of course.
7. Animal does talk. He definitely talks. He just mostly makes noises... and literally chases women (Not like gets women, but like LITERALLY chases them off)
8. Sam the Eagle's joke is that he's HILARIOUSLY serious and patriotic, but he literally gets it wrong all the time. YOu can hear "God Save the Queen" literally in the background which is the same melody used for "My COuntry 'Tis of Thee" but that's like the ironic part. And you can pick that when he comments on needing American Rappers and he states we need "Iggy Azelea or maybe Drake" both of which aren't from the US.
9. Pepe the King Prawn basically is a catch all character. He kinda just does everything and can fit in any role for support or comic relief while also being a womanizer because he gets all the ladies with his 'Spanish' accent.
10. Lew Zealand... this character is literally what it is on the tin. He throws fish specifically a Boomerang Fish. He's a VERY VERY silly and one note character. However, he fits as a good background muppet and support character as well taking up many a role. But he's mostly known for his Boomerang Fish act.
11. The Swedish Chef is saying English with very Swedish sounds... it's mostly gibberish int he actual show, but you can make out some words through the dumb Swedish-isms they add. And Stupes did an amazing job at literally making every word in that verse sounds like them xD
Edit: Pronouns
I'm pretty sure Pepe's supposed to be Cajun.
@@daleharden1749 Quite possible. My Muppets knowledge on Pepe is a little shaky.
freeced goes by they/them friend!!!
One quick fact about the Swedish Chef: the line "They sent me a Beretta when Jim Henson left the kitchen" is a double entredre. First, the Chef is known for using firearms when cooking, and second, since Jim Henson's death, puppeteer Bill Barretta now performs the Chef.
@@bryvlza Oh thank you!
First thing you need to know about the Muppets, is that if you take them completely seriously, you have to be very unserious. The Muppets are a VERY goofy act. And it's amazing.
The only options for acting alongside the Muppets it being completely serious and treating them as fellow serious actors (Michael Caine in Muppet Christmas Carol) or by being even wackier than they are (Tim Curry in Muppet Treasure Island)
Yeah Stupes made a comment thanking Dan for sacrificing his voice for the song lol
That IS how Pépe the King Prawn sounds!
I was actually surprised at how well Basses Olaf nailed it
~_~
He broke the sound "bear"rier with that face
The Swedish Chef speaks Mock Swedish. It's mostly vaguely Scandinavian-sounding gibberish with some heavily Swedish-ized English to help viewers follow his train of thought. In his first appearance, he did helpfully have subtitles... in Chinese.
It _is_ notable that he speaks without an accent, though. His native language is said to be Mock Japanese.
Great reaction, I loved this cypher 🥰
In the eyes were made of ping pong balls
Swedish Chef is, hands down, the most accurate. Gonzo a close second ;)
Sam the Eagle said American rappers but then listed Iggy Azalae who is Australian and Drake who is Canadian which makes it ironic :P
The last character is known as the Swedish Chef and its not actually Swedish its more like a Mock Swedish Accent how people believe Swedish talk.
i didn't know when you were gonna upload the video so i watched the VOD earlier today... oh well xD have a like and more views! Much love!
Appreciate you boss!
Don't worry for the last singer chef it's not a language it's just random jibberish to sound like other words
Genuine question here.
Is muppet labs in the 1978 version of muppets or the 2011 version?
i think its from the tv show
@@lukewarmsoda1147 but there's two of them.
@@the_scrongler oh, yeah. The characters are called beaker and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (I'm pretty sure). Muppet labs is the name for skits with the two of them
@@lukewarmsoda1147 two versions of the show.
@@the_scrongler ah, sorry, don't really know then
If I've got one complaint about this reaction, it's that you were pausing TOO many times. I don't have a problem with pauses in videos, but pausing every 10 seconds is a bit annoying
That’s fair, everyone is entitled to their own opinions! I would just rather pause and react than talk over the music, as opposed to doing nothing as it plays or getting spoken over. (I also had chugged so much caffeine before this so I was extra slap happy)

No offense but how many times you paused on this video is almost cringe worthy :(

Dr. Teeth's Voice. ua-cam.com/video/XoKFBjd5-F8/v-deo.html He's a mellow, borderline-hippie vibe. Gravelly voice, but a very 'Go with the Flow' personality.
