So pleased for you to get the sponsorship! Tell BodyShop that I haven't been in one of their stores for like 15 years, but I'm going to buy a couple of bits after lockdown. This was a great idea for a video, really fun. Video ideas: 1) 3 days of eating like they did in 1721 / 1821 / 1921. Day 1 is what poor people ate. Day 2 is what middle class people ate. Day 3 is what posh people ate. 2) (After lockdown) you go to a Paint your own pottery place, and paint two mugs. One is a giveaway for your viewers, and the other is auctioned off and all the money goes to a good cause. 3) Eating popular supermarket foods that you haven't had before. You do a haul of foods like Smash, Angel Delight, Pot Noodle, BeanFeast, etc. And then you eat them. 4) Australia has Christmas during their summer, so in July you should recreate a Bondi-beach Australian Christmas.

my family does this every year! we pick a country and have their food for christmas dinner. it's not totally accurate because of course there are regional differences and we adjust the meals to our preferences, but it's still fun to do.
The farófa is supposed to be put on top of black beans and rice actually, that's why the texture may be awkward. But you prepared it correctly it looked delicious ! 😄
Side note, I love how respectfully you film while still having so much family content! So many channels film everyone all the time, and although some channels prob exist where everyone is totally cool with being filmed 24/7, I'm sure that there is pressuring going on bts of youtube. It's nice to see a creator who genuinely just wants to make videos but also make their family happy too. You're a breath of fresh air :)
GRACE! Congrats on the AD! I'm from Québec and tourtière is definitely the #1 christmas food staple (though I personally don't care for it much), we don't really do Nanaimo bars but they're really popular in the rest of the country so you actually did a great job representing many regions of Canada in one meal :)
Grace is SO beyond deserving of sponsors! You can genuinely tell that this is something she is passionate and puts so much energy and love into, so I am beyond excited that she’s getting something in return ❤️❤️
I live in Nanaimo, Canada and it was a treat to see you making Nanaimo bars. I made some a few weeks ago and they are absolutely delicious. We eat them year round as every bakery and grocery store sells them. If we have a high tea it usually includes very small squares of Nanaimo bars as one of the sweet treats.

Pretty accurate for Brazil. In my family my mom makes the potato/mayo salad with prawns, but it might be just a local thing (seafood is a big part of our region's cuisine). The pronunciation of farofa was on point as well. Good stuff, Grace! And congrats on the sponsorship, well deserved.

Loove that you did a Brazilian night!!! Farofa is the BEST thing, especially with some rice and beans 🤤🤤 You nailed the mayo salad ! The “tiramisu” thingy is called pavê. I’m just not so sure the recipe is quite traditional Brazilian tho 🙃 Usually people make like a chocolate and vanilla one, most traditionally using a digestive biscuit type of cookie in between the layers (biscoito maizena or biscoito maria) Hope you get to try some other Brazilian food, we have great ones! Luuv u girl! 💛💚
So excited The Body Shop sponsored you...they picked the right person and family to showcase their product. Please do more of the dinners from around the world! Loved the variety and the honesty of of taste preferences from your family.
Your Icelandic pronounciation of the Skúffukaka was pretty spot on! Nothing to apologize for on that front. And the meal itself looked very good! As you pointed out, almost every household has their own sort of spin on their christmas dinner, and the same goes over here as well. If you ever want to try any other Icelandic recipes I would love to help out with translations! We have some amazing christmas cookie recipes for example. :)

I feel like in Western countries, eating food at the dinner table together is not something that's very common especially when kids are all grown up. Or maybe i'm just misinformed. But the point is, I love seeing you eat your meals with everyone. Eating with family every lunch and dinner is something that I really love to do with them. 😊 Your family is lovely.
I just love how open to new food your family is and honest and genuine about it. My family is absolutely frightened of new things and would never comply with trying out different foods from other parts of the world.
you should definitely try Polish Christmas dinner!! traditionally it consists of 12 different dishes at one night so it gives a lot of variety and new food to try✨🖤

As a Dane the Norwegian christmas dinner is very similar to ours but we also eat roasted duck. I wish you would try our christmas dessert though! It is called Risalamande and is made from rice, milk, whipped cream, vanilla bean and chopped almonds. Served with cherry sauce and one whole almond in the bowl, whoever gets the almond gets the risalamande present and reveals they got it after everybody has stuffed themselves trying to find the whole almond :)

Hi Grace, from Canada! Fun fact, Nanaimo is actually a city in the province of British Columbia. I’m sure you came across this in your research, but that’s what the bar is named after. Love your videos, what a breath of fresh air you are!
Ahhhh so excited you are doing Norway! Your julekake looks amazing, we eat it at Christmas but not for dessert, more like a snack. Your ribbe is okay, people take years perfecting it so you did good. We have something that’s similar to sauerkraut but not quite the same, it’s not fermented. Never heard of caramelised potatoes, think they are more danish? I never comment on stuff but this is really exciting, I’m a chef and you posting about Norwegian food is really cool
Grace omg!!! Well done on the sponsor, i've never been happier to see a youtuber get sponsored but you come up with such creative and engaging content that you deserve it sooo much ❤
Not christmas related but my cousins grandma always make the childrens tiramisu with canned peaches instead of coffe and alcohol, dipping the cake in the syrup and its AMAZING!!!

My grandmother was from Quebec and her family never put veg into it. Just three kinds of ground meat, bread crumbs, sage, savoury and clove. Maybe allspice. Did you have veg in yours? I'm curious; pretty sure there are as many different recipes as there are families whose tradition it is.
yayy tourtière! 😄 Love it with home made fruit ketchup! My family recipe has no vegetables, but I have seen other with, I think it is a regional thing. Tourtières/ pâtés à la viande.

If you want to try to bake something swedish for christmas I would recommend saffron buns! We have a classic one that is shaped like a ”S” but they tend to be a bit dry (at least I think so) so I would recommend saffron buns with almond paste. They are divine I promise!
There were some yummy dishes there, I'll have to try them some time I once made a desserts for the holidays, a kind of dessert assortment. Five small taster desserts, each from a country on a different continent: rice pudding with lemon for Africa, Japanese cheesecake, French chocolate mousse, American popcorn with caramel, and ice cream for Antarctica 😉 Happy holidays everyone, hope you can enjoy some of it, even with all this mess. 💚❤️

Hi Grace, from Canada! Fun fact, Nanaimo is actually a city in the province of British Columbia. I’m sure you came across this in your research, but that’s what the bar is named after. Love your videos, what a breath of fresh air you are!
Good for you Grace!!! You deserve some sweet dolla for all the joy you bring xxx
OMgosh! What a ton of work you did for this video!! Loved watching it all. And, I just love how your sweet family is up to try anything and be in the journey with you! You are the best!
Nanaimo bars are pronounced like nan-eye-mo if that makes sense lol they’re the best
Oh I loved this and so happy you got a sponsor especially body shop !! Your dad looked ecstatic with his little gift ! I’m so glad there giving what people think are small UA-camrs opportunities ,
Love the video !
Go go go! CONGRATS and the body shop is a great sponsor!
AD! AD! I SEE AN AD! So unbelievably happy for you Grace! It often puts me off influencers when they are heavily sponsored but you are so deserving and honest and I know that we can trust you would only show things which you believe in. Congratulations. Honestly, over the moon for you, you're doing fab!
From Quebec here :) Your tourtiere was on point!
My grandmother was from Quebec and her family never put veg into it. Just three kinds of ground meat, bread crumbs, sage, savoury and clove. Maybe allspice. Did you have veg in yours? I'm curious; pretty sure there are as many different recipes as there are families whose tradition it is.
I’m still shook from the fruit in the Nanaimo bars 🤷♀️
yayy tourtière! 😄 Love it with home made fruit ketchup!
My family recipe has no vegetables, but I have seen other with, I think it is a regional thing. Tourtières/ pâtés à la viande.
@@jonap5740 We put a little bit of veg (celery, carrots, onions I believe) but cut very very small. Almost minced :)
@@sukisue Right?? Never seen that before! Looked good though :)
At 3:49 i was sooo extactic reading what you wrote about our canadian tradition dish ''la tourtière''!! my heart was all fluffy.. hahah.. Thanks for thinking of us and mentionning us Grackle!!! :D xxxx - friend Rachel, Montreal Quebec Canada-
If you want to try to bake something swedish for christmas I would recommend saffron buns! We have a classic one that is shaped like a ”S” but they tend to be a bit dry (at least I think so) so I would recommend saffron buns with almond paste. They are divine I promise!
u best believe I'm watching through all the ads !!! so happy for u for the sponsor grace, so so deserved !!! :)
Well done on the sponsorship Grack! Definitely a fan of the youth cream
Yass! Congrats on the sponsor...and huge thanks for all the work you put into this amazing vid. Happy vlogmas from Canada xx
I see Canada, I click. And as a Québécoise, from what I can tell that, you nailed the Tourtière!! Happy holidays haha
Your family is so pure and happy, cherish this while you can 💛
There were some yummy dishes there, I'll have to try them some time
I once made a desserts for the holidays, a kind of dessert assortment. Five small taster desserts, each from a country on a different continent: rice pudding with lemon for Africa, Japanese cheesecake, French chocolate mousse, American popcorn with caramel, and ice cream for Antarctica 😉
Happy holidays everyone, hope you can enjoy some of it, even with all this mess. 💚❤️
Congrats on your sponsorship! The first of many I'm sure. Whenever I see you and your family react to something it always makes me want to try it.
omg it would be so cool if there was a restaurant that allowed you to taste what holiday dinners are like around the world!!! Im in the states but I find that other country's foods to be so much more interesting and tasty!!!
that is actually SUCH a good idea!!!
I so badly want to try an American thanksgiving dinner, like green bean casserole sounds delicious, pumpkin pie, sweet potato with marshmallows on top. Like what!! Get in my belly.
@@beckbeck5110 OOOO yes yes, these are all great dishes but Im speaking from a gal who has been eating these leftovers for the last four days and I want to switch up my pallet hahaha
I dread to ask green bean casserole?
@@nat3007 it tastes a lot better than it sounds!!
Loved seeing the Body Shop ad! Giving me all the ideas for the holidays! Lovely video as always Grace! 😁
