My boyfriend is Chinese American and since he joined the family my mom has started doing traditions that we haven't done since my sister and I were little kids. Just because my boyfriend has never done them before (easter egg hunts, carving pumpkins, gingerbread houses, etc.)

Hi 👋 Jin and Hattie, it's wonderful and new to us in India to know about the Christmas traditions and thank u for sharing it with us. Christmas and New Year is just a one day affair where people go to the church or pray at home and then prepare food or visit relatives.
So Jin has his first Christmas in the UK which is alien to him but he gets stuck in and enjoyed himself. Hattie is her Flamboyant self but she's shy wearing spectacles. As I write this it will be soon New Year's Eve and more for the couple to celebrate together. Happy New Year To Jin and Hattie!
Hattie lived in such a HUGE house but she was able to endure staying in their previous small apartments. My respect to her went notches higher. She's so strong. 🤧

In our house we stayed in housecoats and pyjamas for Santa's gifts. breakfast, and then presents. By noon we changed into casual clothing and had lunch with friends and neighbors dropping by. That's when the booze started flowing. Guests would bring Champagne, Asti Spumante, Spumante Bambino, and Baby Duck. Others brought Drambuie, Scotch, Baileys Irish Cream, beer or wine. Dinner was just immediate family. We dressed up in new clothes for the dinner. The dinner consisted of turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and 3-4 other types of vegetables. Dessert was Christmas pudding with rum sauce. The Christmas crackers were also a part of my family's tradition. I see the layout of the house is very English from what I remember. You even had brussel sprouts with dinner. Very English. My brother and I would eat 3-4 heaping plates of turkey dinner at Christmas and then get so full we'd lay on the couch and say we'd never eat again. That was until the next day when we would eat leftovers all day long.
One thing is for sure, Hattie does not need an elasticated dress. She can eat food all day and she still won't need it.
i'm muslim so i don't celebrate christmas but i had a good time watching movies with my family and then driving around and looking at christmas lights :') thank you for the lovely, cozy video and happy new year to you both!! 💗

In Canada, Boxing Day is is the day after Christmas where they put everything on sale and they have amazing deals. I didn’t know it had a different meaning 😅

Boxing Day was the day that Victorians took gifts in boxes to friends and neighbours. Now in Australia is is the start of the sales.

It’s so interesting to see the different Christmas traditions around the world, I’m Mexican American and have lots of family so Christmas celebrations this year lasted around 3 days. The 23 we prayed to baby Jesus in my aunts house and had dinner, the 24th we had dinner at another aunts house, opened presents at midnight, and on the 25th had recalentado and had breakfast/lunch, then had dinner with my grandma from my dad’s side of the family.

@@AmberMarrrie yeah! I’ve never heard of crackers before. We don’t have Boxing Day either. Every family has different traditions, but her Christmas (especially food) was way different from anything I’ve seen over here!

Here in Finland most families open the present in the afternoon or evening. And the presents are of course handed out by Santa Claus himself :D though nowadays families who don't have young children present who still believe in Santa will just give presents to each other.

In Germany they are so many diffrents... on December 24th you only celebrate with your parents. Raclette or duck is often eaten, wine is drunk and in the evening everyone receives presents. on the 25th. .December is celebrated with the grandparents, there is often a feast and coffee and cake at the end. the presents will be unwrapped again in the evening. December 26th is often celebrated with friends or it is a completely normal day ..
