Hello Granny Pat. I enjoy your stories so much. I'm 75 and I remember many of the things you talk about including "Queen for a Day" . Please keep the videos coming we love them and we love you too!!!
Granny Pat, Yesterday was a very important day. I watch most of your chats, but I spent the whole day and night watching videoes relating to the inauguration and what our Pres was doing. Nothing would pull me away from that. Praise God for all those signatures! As soon as you finish I will watch yesterday's video. I never saw the Bride and Groom show. Will be checking it out. It is fun to watch those old tv shows and the commercials.
Keep on talking! Please don’t worry so much about content. This story reminds me of the vintage bride and groom paperdolls. I just loved those sets as some were just gorgeous! The clothes and the hairstyles were just beautiful. One time I made copies of a vintage set and decoupaged the pieces on an old painted chest.

I went over and watched the Bride and Groom, one was my Grandparents wedding was their title, I thought it was just delightful. Thank you for telling us about it. Oh how I wish people were so mild mannered and loving as them, as I mean this couple on the show. And James is a minister, so cute and she is so lovely. And you were right they got sterling silver as a wedding gift. I want to tell you about that gorgeous book mark of yours, what a wonderful gift. I never made a book mark, but I tatted a snowflake for the Christmas tree and I put a bit of white glitter on it, it turned out wonderful. And one of my favorite shows of yours was when you showed those collars, I bought my Grandma a collar and I think that was one of her favorite gifts. Well Florida is now making History with their snow. You stay safe and warm.XOXO

I am 77 but I loved all craft work I tried and tried tatting and each of the little circles with the little loops is called a picot. I would practice and practice with my tatting shuttle and always knotted it at the end of the circle and you were finished because it would go into a hard knot you could not work out. I should have just done a lot of picots and stitch them together and called it tatting..ha! Still were fun times. Love you Dear Friend.. ‘keep ‘em coming’. Judy from NW Louisiana
Tatting is beautiful. My mother tatted. I'm sure she learned it from her mother. All of her sisters and mother did all kinds of needlework and crafts. One of my neices tats. I am sure someone could help you learn to finish the picots, although very few people tat. Keep trying.

I had never heard of the show "Bride & Groom", so I had to watch a few episodes of it first. Great show, lovely gifts. Very nice for a young couple just starting out. I wanted to let you know that my husband sang the song "Because" at our wedding in 1994. It's a wonderful song. I always enjoy your videos. They are interesting to me, but I don't always comment. I have never heard of the show but I just went and looked it up! For a 15 minute ceremony it seemed really nice and they gave them nice gifts. I read that the show received more than 70,000 letters from prospective couples wanting to be on it. I listened to your video yesterday and I did enjoy all of it. I didn't comment as much as I probably should have. I was listening later at night and needed to get to sleep but I did want to let you know how much I enjoyed your show. I love your channel! I am a fairly new listener and I am enjoying your channel so much!
I haven’t heard of the Bride and Groom TV show-I do seem to recall Queen for a Day-but nothing very specific. I have always wanted to learn how to do tatting. Tatting and smocking are the only needle crafts that I have never learned to do. A good while ago, I purchased a tatting shuttle and keep thinking I will find a good UA-cam source and try to learn to do tatting-maybe one day I will get around to this. My grandmother knew how to tat, and my grandfather’s niece also did beautiful tatting. Tatting is an old-timey talent. I have also always wanted to learn how to smock-when I was a baby and small child, I had several beautifully smocked dresses that my grandmother bought for me. You just don’t see tatted or smocked items much anymore.

All of this happened about when I was little. I love all of your stories.
@@sharonedwards-kk1pd TV began in the early 50s so it took awhile to catch on. We had some wonderful live shows in those days. Even Perry Como had a 15 minute show every night. The ladies loved him..
The parents of one of my college friends got married in NYC on a TV show in the 1050s. I will have to get in touch with her about the details. They were originally from North Carolina.
I enjoyed your video. I am 77 but don’t remember that one. I remember the shows like Queen for a Day and Name That Tune (if I remember correctly Kathie Lee Gifford sang on that show).
Dear Pat- when I was 17-18 there was a woman in her 80’s who tatted and added the flowers to coordinating stationery and it was beautiful! She placed the stationery with matching envelopes in empty stocking boxes she wrapped in pretty paper. She sold it for $2 per box , I believe, and had quite the following! Thank you for sharing you. Granny Pat, I thoroughly enjoyed that video, because I am interested in places that have historical value, but I didn't leave a comment until you mentioned it in this video. I watch every one of your videos, but don't always reply. That may be a possibility. We had a show similar to that here in Southern California on T.V. which was Queen for a Daythat my mother would watch in the late 50's early 60's.
Granny Pat, I’m thinking maybe a lot of people were watching the presidential stuff if it was last night. I never knew they had a show where people just got married. Sorry about your friend passing.
These stories are so much more interesting than conversations I have with people my age. The world was so much more wholesome and endearing years ago than it is now. I love hearing you talk about these things. Did you choose any certain color theme for your wedding. Mine was so small but the handmade dresses that my one attendant and flower girl was lavender. I will look up the Bride and Groom tv show.
@@sheilachester657 Very small church wedding. I made my own dress (age 18). I’ll show a picture one day. Maid of honor only. My sister sang. She had a beautiful voice.

I can't imagine getting married on tv, not my cup of tea. But I love the story! About views on videos, I think it's hit and miss. You may post a great story, but if viewers don't click on that day, you may not see what you hoped for. It doesn't mean the story wasn't good. There are times I don't click on for 4 or 5 days. The parents of one of my college friends got married in NYC on a TV show in the 1050s. I will have to get in touch with her about the details. They were originally from North Carolina.
Mello Dear Granny Pat!!!👏❤🙏🏽
"BECAUSE" is the song we had sung at our wedding. We will be married 57 years this June. We still have the sheet music. Have a good week.
I enjoyed your video. I am 77 but don’t remember that one. I remember the shows like Queen for a Day and Name That Tune (if I remember correctly Kathie Lee Gifford sang on that show).
I do remember the Bride and Groom show
I’m almost 85
Granny Pat researched and Dick Van Dyke married on radio show of Bride and Groom. They had no money to get married.
Granny Pat!! Just got into bed and there you were!❤❤❤
Never mind what your wearing! Most of us don’t remember anyway ‼️ ( I do the same thing) 😄👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
@@francegilbert6364 Was I wearing my Grinch PJs?
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 no. Tonight your wearing red . My favorite color.❤️
PS it was minus 11 today. Windchill was Brr! NE Ohio- Lake Erie Snowbelt. ❄️⛄️💕
@ They got snow as far south as Louisiana. Amazing.
@@rebeccamartus5859 We watched Queen for a Day.
Love🥰😍🤩😘
Granny Pat, I’m thinking maybe a lot of people were watching the presidential stuff if it was last night. I never knew they had a show where people just got married. Sorry about your friend passing.
Oh my yes deepest Sympathy.
❤hello, I look for that show ,I was thinking of making banana bread ,it darn on me ,I wonder if granny Pat made one on her videos ,
@@irmablanco863 Granny Pat doesn’t do much baking. (She would eat it all!)

@@michaelchrist21 I could probably hit and miss on each topic. Some would be short and sweet, so to speak.
Then I watch and get caught up. So don't get disappointed, we love all your stories. I know it's hard finding new content. Many youtubers have the same problem. xoxo
I never saw your post about Cumberland Island. Maybe I just missed it but I have been there before and would love to see what you have to say about it. Take care!

Did their marriage last? This is the first I’ve heard of getting married on tv. Very cute idea I think ❤
@@kathyf7336 My neighbor made it sound so delightful. She died last Saturday, about 98.

Hello granny Pat
