@@martinpidhany8278 I listened black metal big part of my life. When your life in reality is not nice at all, and it lasts long enough, music like Tsjuder start to feel just awful. It is just cold. I can't listen that kind of music anymore. But I still listen Evoken, SOD, Esoteric and similar doom metal bands. Their music has also beauty and melancholy alongside of heavy riffs and growling vocals. I like that.
A truly super band. I'm an old guy, 70, been into rock, blues, jazz, since the early 1960s. To me, Love Bites is refreshing, dynamic, musically exceptional, a joy to listen to. I also like their lyrics, uplifting, filled with hope, not despair or bitterness. When I heard a recent video interview with the band (with English subtitles; I'm a Texas Red Neck farmer, don't speak Japanese), I was impressed by their commitment to their music, as well as to their health. They don't smoke, use drugs, choosing rather to work out, get adequate rest when touring, and eating healthfully. Their obvious physical beauty will last so much longer, than so that of so many in the '60s and '70s who aged prematurely or died, from substance abuse. I wish Love Bites every success. What a refreshing change from the American Hip Hop and Rap swill, that so denigrates quality music. My favorite band, all time, is Cream, who I first heard in 1966. Love Bites creates the same excitement, musical intrigue, I heard with early Cream recordings. Blessings from a Texas cowboy...
This comment means a lot to me. I'm only 40, but it's always a struggle as a music lover to support new artists because of the generational gaps and so on. I am very heartened to read the comments of someone from my father's age who grew up with the same music as you and still finds time to listen to exceptional music of today.

Their plan is most likely to get to the US and play shows. Lovebites definitely seems to be specifically aiming at the international audience as opposed to some bands like Aldious who are fantastic but really seem to have no interest in playing outside of Japan
Yeah, Lovebites is extremely focused on trying to gain an international audience. Band-Maid and Scandal have both been very interested in that kind of thing too. But I don't think I've seen a Japanese band push for that kind of exposure as quickly or as aggressively as Lovebites has. Well, maybe Babymetal. But that was more of an unexpected explosion in popularity that they weren't really ready for. The Lovebites approach is more like what you'd see from American or European bands. It's great!
@@clonedllama I agree 100%. I was thinking the exact same thing. Lovebites are very much doing it kind of old school in the sense of pumping out albums, touring and building a solid international fan base while building up to something bigger. As you said.... Very much like how a European or US band would go about it. And definitely faster and more aggressively than what Japanese bands tend to do. I really hope it works.
I also hope it works! I think it will, though. They're extremely talented and deliver an amazing performance in person. I can't think of the last time Nuclear Blast signed a Japanese band within a few years after formation. Or at all actually. That alone should give them a ton of international exposure. As much as I love "Rising," I kinda wish "Shadowmaker" had been the first video Nuclear Blast got. That song just completely destroys people when they first hear it. The band is also very aware of how fans obtain their music and what fans want to see. Midori did an interview recently where she talked about wanting to give fans the ability to buy their music without having to pay high import costs. Even their official site has an international store to allow fans to buy merchandise. Band-Maid has a separate international merchandise store now too. Not many Japanese bands do that. Normally, you can only buy that stuff in Japan or at shows, which greatly limits sales. Buying music from Japan can be tricky enough as it is. Buying merchandise is often next to impossible unless you physically fly to Japan, go to a concert, and buy it. That's certainly an expensive way to buy a hoodie or T-shirt. XD

Gentlemen , spectators… I'm not afraid to express my private opinion, but these girls are the highest level of heavy metal performers, almost perfect… well, please just look at it - virtuoso solo from Midori and her dazzling smile, unsurpassed Miyako and her stern samurai face before the battle, sweet Haruna beating the rhythm at the speed of a multi-barreled machine gun, the charming bassist Miho and finally the fairy tale princess Asami with her ultra resonant vocals and extraordinary charisma on stage… Do not call it amazing?
Such an incredibly talented group! Loved the lead in to the solos with Miyako’s keyboards and Miho’s bass. Haruna slays on her drums, Midori & Miyako show their best on the solo. Asami’s expression in the video is lovely and her vocals are extraordinary! ☺️🤘
They are all so beautiful, but drummer Haruna is the cutest thing I ever seen! All I wanna do is hug her and never let her go! Haruna could literally charge money for hugs, and she would have a line of people a mile long!
I have a hard time to decipher the lyrics because of the accent but the song does kick so much ass. These ladies are like the better version of Evanescence.

Lovebites with another spectacular video of one of their greatest songs. You can hear Haruna on the double kick bass throughout the ENTIRE song going at reckless and relentless speed. Asami's vocals soar on this one and the twin guitar solos are one of their best ever. And Miyako adding a touch on the pianio is the icing on the cake. I love this song so much.
One of the most talented all female bands I've ever seen! Haruna is amazing on drums. All these ladies have an exceptional talent for what they play, and the passion to do so well.
Sooo cool hearing her sing in English. This band's world wide introduction is way overdue! They deserve the fame and fortune due to them simply because they are so good.
The best band I've heard in the last 25 years. Live they are even better, but in Europe you only get the same crap. These are first-class Japanese women musicians. Only intolerance, stupidity, narrow-mindedness and the lack of courage of record companies, radio stations and concert organizers can prevent such fantastic artists from getting their deserved fame/reward worldwide.
Luckily there is YT. Ten years ago yet, these Japanese bands would have disappeared rejected by the Western music industry. But now a crowd of fans can create the music market and reject parochialism.
I predict Lovebites will skyrocket once the pandemic tapers off. I can't wait for them to tour the USA. They are my new favorite band. Before that.... it was 20 years of Symphony-X. Now.... This is amazing epic symphonic metal. Which one is playing the keyboard can't tell from the Video. Those guitar solos are some of the best I've heard. And when they break into harmony together it takes it to another level. Very emotional singing too. She has a unique voice. There's a lot of all female rock/metal bands from Japan & I haven't heard one I didn't like. If there was a festival of Japanese female rock metal bands I would definitely go. So much talent. I find this Track very uplifting and euphoric.
Specifically, it's Miyako (brownish dean guitar) playing the keys/piano, which was her first instrument since the age of 3. She's classically trained at piano but self taught on guitar at 18. She is the one that composes most of their songs along with Mao. Very talented!
Band-Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila, TRiDENT, Mary's Blood, Unlucky Morpheus, those are some names that you will see be mention when you listen to any of those bands.
I can't believe how many all female Japanese metal bands there are, but this is the best I have found. Glad I was able to find their CDs on ebay because not sure how else I can get them in the US
Hector Gonzalez - I really don't know what you're talking about. 1. Keyboards are often featured in symphonic and power metal. Lovebites has been using a keyboard off and on since they debuted. It isn't always as prominent as it is here but it isn't new. 2. Miyako plays piano in addition to guitar. Miyako and Miho frequently compose the songs and sometimes work with another keyboardist. 3. Nuclear Blast is only one of multiple labels Lovebites has signed with. Their primary label is Victor Entertainment. I highly doubt that Nuclear Blast is determining what the band does or doesn't write. The band is driving the content being written.

Third now they sound like a hundred other symphonic bands that record for Nuclear Blast. And there's hundreds of them. They were a unique Japanese metal band. And Asami's command of the English language is horrible at best. They used to be my favorite band. I wish them luck. But they have destroyed their uniqueness. That's what I meant to say.
If I abandoned a band I love whenever I run into a song that doesn't blow me away, I probably wouldn't be listening to *any* bands anymore. :) I'm sorry this song doesn't work for you. Until we hear every song on the new album, none of us are in a position to say whether they've lost their uniqueness. "Rising" is a single song on an album that has a runtime of almost an hour. Judging the entire album by a single song doesn't make any sense to me. This song isn't even that big of a departure from what they've done before. It isn't as heavy as "Shadowmaker" or "The Hammer of Wrath" but it isn't as soft as "Inspire" or the first half of "Edge of the World." Anyway, before I was pointing out that symphonic *and* power metal bands often have keyboard parts. Lovebites is usually categorized as power metal. Including a keyboard part doesn't make them a Nightwish clone. And as I said before, Lovebites has been including keyboard/piano parts for a while. So I don't know what band you've been listening to. Not every song is going to be a "Shadowmaker" style song. As far as Asami's English goes, it's fine. She simply has a strong Japanese accent. Regardless, her English pronunciation has improved dramatically over the past year. Just compare this song to "The Crusade" and then to "Don't Bite the Dust." It's like night and day. She's clearly working really hard to continue getting better.
I agree. Let's hope that Nuclear Blast or some other European label signs a deal to promote and distribute albums from more Japanese female bands. They are very talented and their music speaks for itself. Metalheads will love it and take to these bands the world over. Bring on BAND-MAID, ALDIOUS, MARY'S BLOOD, ETC...

I absolutely love these girls, awesome musically and vocally, but opening up for dragonforce, lovebites could opened up for a better band than dragonfarce. Would've been awesome if they could've opened for a band like dream theater, that would've been a show of shows.

Sounds like Judas Priest, anime theme songs and PowerWolf had a 3 way and this is the result and holy shit the dual dueling guitars are incredible. Good to see Nuclear Blast is way ahead of the curve as far as signing bands is concerned.

Since you like this, also check out the former band of Haruna (Dr) and Miho (Ba). They were called "Destrose". The other part of Destrose went and formed "Mary's Blood" (also a Japanese All-Female metal band). Furthermore you can check on "Aldious" and "FateGear" which are as well two All-Female metal bands who occasionally do events together with ex-Destrose members in Japan. Also "Exist Trace" is worth listening into, if you don't mind Goth / Visual Kei. Japan has an abundance of excellent All-Female metal bands just like LoveBites. Other nice Japanese Metal bands you might like are "Unlucky Morpheus" (also a Japanese Metal Band); and the later albums of "Yousei Teikoku". Enjoy.

ペンタ(５音)ではなくフルスケール(７音)でのメロディラインは、指を開いて小指まで鍛えた者にしか出来ないテクニック
それを２人共が弾きこなせることが凄い！
そして２本でバッキングとリードを切り替える、そしてハーモナイズもする、んーマジでカッコいい！！
多分もう100回以上は観てますが、何度聴いてもまた聴きたくなる名曲ですね。バイツ名物の都みどりツインギターソロ＆デュオ🎸が特に光ってるかな。asamiのボーカルが、そんなにキンキンしてないのもグッド👍（彼女のハイトーンシャウトも素敵ですが他の曲で沢山聴ける🎤）

Until someone in the US is smart enough to distribute them and get them over here for a tour I will vicariously through videos and fan reactions who do get to see them live. Love this band!

Their plan is most likely to get to the US and play shows. Lovebites definitely seems to be specifically aiming at the international audience as opposed to some bands like Aldious who are fantastic but really seem to have no interest in playing outside of Japan
Yeah, Lovebites is extremely focused on trying to gain an international audience. Band-Maid and Scandal have both been very interested in that kind of thing too. But I don't think I've seen a Japanese band push for that kind of exposure as quickly or as aggressively as Lovebites has. Well, maybe Babymetal. But that was more of an unexpected explosion in popularity that they weren't really ready for. The Lovebites approach is more like what you'd see from American or European bands. It's great!
@@clonedllama I agree 100%. I was thinking the exact same thing. Lovebites are very much doing it kind of old school in the sense of pumping out albums, touring and building a solid international fan base while building up to something bigger. As you said.... Very much like how a European or US band would go about it. And definitely faster and more aggressively than what Japanese bands tend to do. I really hope it works.
I also hope it works! I think it will, though. They're extremely talented and deliver an amazing performance in person. I can't think of the last time Nuclear Blast signed a Japanese band within a few years after formation. Or at all actually. That alone should give them a ton of international exposure. As much as I love "Rising," I kinda wish "Shadowmaker" had been the first video Nuclear Blast got. That song just completely destroys people when they first hear it.
The band is also very aware of how fans obtain their music and what fans want to see. Midori did an interview recently where she talked about wanting to give fans the ability to buy their music without having to pay high import costs. Even their official site has an international store to allow fans to buy merchandise. Band-Maid has a separate international merchandise store now too. Not many Japanese bands do that.
Normally, you can only buy that stuff in Japan or at shows, which greatly limits sales. Buying music from Japan can be tricky enough as it is. Buying merchandise is often next to impossible unless you physically fly to Japan, go to a concert, and buy it. That's certainly an expensive way to buy a hoodie or T-shirt. XD
This is by far Midori's best guitar solo performance. Wow. She and Miyako's dual guitar sound is top notch.
Midori's solos are some of my favorites over the last year or so. This one, Shadowmaker, etc...wonderful player (and I'm fussy!).

I'm not afraid to express my private opinion, but these girls are the highest level of heavy metal performers, almost perfect…
well, please just look at it - virtuoso solo from Midori and her dazzling smile, unsurpassed Miyako and her stern samurai face before the battle, sweet Haruna beating the rhythm at the speed of a multi-barreled machine gun, the charming bassist Miho and finally the fairy tale princess Asami with her ultra resonant vocals and extraordinary charisma on stage… Do not call it amazing?
Such an incredibly talented group! Loved the lead in to the solos with Miyako’s keyboards and Miho’s bass. Haruna slays on her drums, Midori & Miyako show their best on the solo. Asami’s expression in the video is lovely and her vocals are extraordinary! ☺️🤘
They are all so beautiful, but drummer Haruna is the cutest thing I ever seen! All I wanna do is hug her and never let her go! Haruna could literally charge money for hugs, and she would have a line of people a mile long!

Lovebites with another spectacular video of one of their greatest songs. You can hear Haruna on the double kick bass throughout the ENTIRE song going at reckless and relentless speed. Asami's vocals soar on this one and the twin guitar solos are one of their best ever. And Miyako adding a touch on the pianio is the icing on the cake. I love this song so much.

One of the most talented all female bands I've ever seen! Haruna is amazing on drums. All these ladies have an exceptional talent for what they play, and the passion to do so well.
One could argue that Lovebites is THE MOST talented all female band of all time.

The best band I've heard in the last 25 years. Live they are even better, but in Europe you only get the same crap. These are first-class Japanese women musicians. Only intolerance, stupidity, narrow-mindedness and the lack of courage of record companies, radio stations and concert organizers can prevent such fantastic artists from getting their deserved fame/reward worldwide.
Luckily there is YT. Ten years ago yet, these Japanese bands would have disappeared rejected by the Western music industry. But now a crowd of fans can create the music market and reject parochialism.
I predict Lovebites will skyrocket once the pandemic tapers off. I can't wait for them to tour the USA. They are my new favorite band. Before that.... it was 20 years of Symphony-X. Now.... This is amazing epic symphonic metal. Which one is playing the keyboard can't tell from the Video. Those guitar solos are some of the best I've heard. And when they break into harmony together it takes it to another level.
Very emotional singing too. She has a unique voice. There's a lot of all female rock/metal bands from Japan & I haven't heard one I didn't like.
If there was a festival of Japanese female rock metal bands I would definitely go. So much talent. I find this Track very uplifting and euphoric.

Specifically, it's Miyako (brownish dean guitar) playing the keys/piano, which was her first instrument since the age of 3. She's classically trained at piano but self taught on guitar at 18. She is the one that composes most of their songs along with Mao. Very talented!

I can't believe how many all female Japanese metal bands there are, but this is the best I have found. Glad I was able to find their CDs on ebay because not sure how else I can get them in the US

1. Keyboards are often featured in symphonic and power metal. Lovebites has been using a keyboard off and on since they debuted. It isn't always as prominent as it is here but it isn't new.
2. Miyako plays piano in addition to guitar. Miyako and Miho frequently compose the songs and sometimes work with another keyboardist.
3. Nuclear Blast is only one of multiple labels Lovebites has signed with. Their primary label is Victor Entertainment. I highly doubt that Nuclear Blast is determining what the band does or doesn't write. The band is driving the content being written.

First of all Lovebites has never been a symphonic band. Second they have never sounded symphonic. Third now they sound like a hundred other symphonic bands that record for Nuclear Blast. And there's hundreds of them. They were a unique Japanese metal band. And Asami's command of the English language is horrible at best. They used to be my favorite band. I wish them luck. But they have destroyed their uniqueness. That's what I meant to say.
If I abandoned a band I love whenever I run into a song that doesn't blow me away, I probably wouldn't be listening to *any* bands anymore. :) I'm sorry this song doesn't work for you.
Until we hear every song on the new album, none of us are in a position to say whether they've lost their uniqueness. "Rising" is a single song on an album that has a runtime of almost an hour. Judging the entire album by a single song doesn't make any sense to me. This song isn't even that big of a departure from what they've done before. It isn't as heavy as "Shadowmaker" or "The Hammer of Wrath" but it isn't as soft as "Inspire" or the first half of "Edge of the World."
Anyway, before I was pointing out that symphonic *and* power metal bands often have keyboard parts. Lovebites is usually categorized as power metal. Including a keyboard part doesn't make them a Nightwish clone. And as I said before, Lovebites has been including keyboard/piano parts for a while. So I don't know what band you've been listening to. Not every song is going to be a "Shadowmaker" style song.
As far as Asami's English goes, it's fine. She simply has a strong Japanese accent. Regardless, her English pronunciation has improved dramatically over the past year. Just compare this song to "The Crusade" and then to "Don't Bite the Dust." It's like night and day. She's clearly working really hard to continue getting better.
I agree. Let's hope that Nuclear Blast or some other European label signs a deal to promote and distribute albums from more Japanese female bands. They are very talented and their music speaks for itself. Metalheads will love it and take to these bands the world over. Bring on BAND-MAID, ALDIOUS, MARY'S BLOOD, ETC...

I absolutely love these girls, awesome musically and vocally, but opening up for dragonforce, lovebites could opened up for a better band than dragonfarce. Would've been awesome if they could've opened for a band like dream theater, that would've been a show of shows.

Lovebites has taken the best from Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Slayer, DragonForce and a few others and blended it all together in an amazing way to create their own style.

This is my first time hearing this band. They are amazing! I will definitely be getting their albums!
Since you like this, also check out the former band of Haruna (Dr) and Miho (Ba). They were called "Destrose". The other part of Destrose went and formed "Mary's Blood" (also a Japanese All-Female metal band). Furthermore you can check on "Aldious" and "FateGear" which are as well two All-Female metal bands who occasionally do events together with ex-Destrose members in Japan.
Also "Exist Trace" is worth listening into, if you don't mind Goth / Visual Kei.
Japan has an abundance of excellent All-Female metal bands just like LoveBites.
Other nice Japanese Metal bands you might like are "Unlucky Morpheus" (also a Japanese Metal Band); and the later albums of "Yousei Teikoku".
