@@Skilez I don't think EA is even capable of producing a good CnC game anymore. The CnC remaster only turned out as good as it did because EA was basically hands off.

I was craving for more Gen evo explosive action of mass scale warfare, thx sybert for fueling my crippling addiction. (Also, thx to the devs for making the game not crash everytime I use nuke or scud)
How the hell do you download gen evo I’ve looked up this game for weeks not a single thing showed for it and this shitty you tuber doesn’t even say the game he’s playing

So I tried out gen evo myself, and this mammoth tank has this little trick that it can be permanently loaded with one infantry to add a weapon on its turret, just like KW epic units. Since the infantry pool in gen evo is quite limited at best, you basically have only three options. Ranger gives you a machine gun, just the way you can imagine. Missle defender gives you a missle pod that spits out a good lot of shots at once, pretty much in the same way as rocket buggies, making it a quite strong upgrade. As for the engineer, well, it's a basically nonexistent self healing, which takes like half a minute to patch up the wound caused by just one cannon shell, and since usa tanks already have their health insurance covered by mechanics, this engineer turret thing is more of a meme than anything else.

Feels like Airforce is overpowered, just like in Zero Hour. In a 1v1 it might be OK, as you can mainly build anti-air to counter, but in team games they'll just get taken out by the tanks of the teammates.
Also, brown does look great as a team color, but when the minimap is also brown their units are almost impossible to see on the minimap.

Finally someone going mass comenche as the USA air general it's my most favorite and used strategy. And the particle cannon at the last was just beautiful.
Reminds me of the good old days as a kid massing 10 stealth Comanches,rushing over the base defenses,and then organizing the survivors inside the base to pick their production and power grid apart
If by chance Gunship Mark II or sgor00 reads this, please consider modifying the spectator UI to be more minimalistic. Doesn't need the energy meter by the minimap, the support powers meter in the bottom-left corner, the bottom-right unit select UI can be made transparent aside from the unit name and picture and their special ability/upgrade button. masterleafcnc, a Kane's Wrath caster and modder, has made the unit control panel in the bottom-left transparent for spectators in his mod, just replaced the textures, so I was thinking of a similar approach to the elements that just take up screen real estate.
You wrong, more effects are better, this is not shity zero hour wirh bad graphics from 20 years. If you won't less effect put down your settings in the game amd stop complaining. All fun is to see explosion
@@nofateify Read my comment again, but slowly. I'm talking about the user interface elements that obscure parts of the screen, which are useless for a spectator. I'm not saying anything about the effects. Obviously Red Alert 3's engine version is 6 years more advanced than the one that's used in Generals, so makes sense effects look much better. A different shader version, much more advanced transparency effects, higher resolution sprites and so on.

Wow, I haven't even played this game and haven't touched RTS games for decade. But I was big fan of C&C:RA & Total Annihilation games in the past. Idk why YT algorithm showed me that, but I actually enjoyed watching this 3v3 skirmish. Looked cool. Also for me 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 were always more interesting format to watch rather then 1v1 & I must say Sybert's part is remarkable here! Thank you for your work. /sub

Your victory is mostly reliant on how effectively you can make use of a MOUSE or a peripheral in RTS(real time strategy) games. One must possess a mouse that fits his palm ergonnomically user friendly!

Airforce General players is really something
the mod looks much better on youtube than it does when i play it, any specific settings or other mods for this?
not to be hyper critical but I have to wonder what CoolMe's plan was? They were right next to the airforce expert, so why didn't they go hard with gat tanks? Not to mention they never really took advantage of the Nuke general's overwhelmingly powerful tanks either.
It's a good thing AGX played ultra-passively because the other team just didn't get it together with the anti-air.
you play against Granger, you don't cheap out on anti-air
I think coolme relies too heavily on using battlemasters as bomb trucks, which is a very niche use of an otherwise powerful tank
never underestimate the power of air force!

My Gen Evo keeps crashing very often, and also after I quit a game the screen has a lot of pink boxes. Does anyone else also have this problem? It's an excellent mod, but very unplayable for me because of the constant crashing.

Selection bias. Normally there's an insane amount of China Tank/Helix/Overlord spam in Evo.

Don't thinks so. Not sure why they ever would.
Looking like the Air force generals units need far less hp. This would mainly be due to the much more simplistic way Red Alert 3's engine appears to handle the anti air logic, allowing these units to barely take any damage. Looking at avengers for example, seem to take twice as long as they would in the original.

You’re thinking of the overlord tank, although having a super heavy tank on the roster really is more China’s thing.

You have to have Red Alert 3 and download the mod. The mod has install instructions.

I am confused by the presence of a Mamoth tank when the Overlord already exists.
One of the new additions in 0.3.
I think it's just vanilla USA that gets the Mammoth. It seems one of the goals of Gen Evo is to make tanks more viable.
@@OneSybert that's good because I do like tanks. I just really enjoyed the change from the mammoth tank being the definitive good guys best tank to China faction in G/ZH, which isn't so squeeky clean

Red Alert 3, the mod is Generals Evolution.
My only problem with the mod is how volatile nuke battle masters are, pretty much one getting destroyed leads to your entire army gone in seconds, though i guess this is still the beta right?
There is an upgrade that fixes this but the nuke player didn't get it.

This is why the viable strat early on is to use NukeBMs as glorified Bomb Trucks, and yes, it is surprisingly effective.
If you want a more permanent attack force, you go with Nuke Overlords and Gats since they are FAST and DURABLE.

I also prefer Gen ZH in terms of regular game play, but believe it or not Gen Evo crashes less for me.
If you're gonna go ZH you should get the Shockwave mod though.
