Sir, there are a number of videos on my channel that are straight off of a cell phone. One of which you have already commented a bunch of supposed FX, which is why I am rather irritable on the matter. I'm happy to tell anyone exactly how any video was recorded and what may or may not have been done after the fact. I can't help it if you can't truly tell the difference. Maybe you're just looking for something to sound bad in order to believe it's "raw." Sorry to disappoint ya there. Blessings to you, but this is not a beneficial back and forth. Take care.
In what way is ANYTHING presented as "raw?" Please help me understand this ignorant perspective of yours. I will spell this out for you one last time, and then I'm done responding to this nonsense. I record music, sometimes with microphones and post-processing(eq/compression/reverb/delay, etc) like EVERYONE WHO RECORDS MUSIC FOR MIXING, and sometimes with just whatever a cell phone captures. Modern cell phones have built-in limiters, and most rooms have a natural space to them unless they're heavily treated rooms. There is no such thing as truly "raw," according to your apparent nonsensical take on things. If I make the decision to externally mic something, I will not waste my time using $1000s worth of mics and gear to record something "dry." I have been sent personal compliments by artists I've covered, such as Bryan White, Mark Wills, Larry from Restless Heart, Mark from Casting Crowns, Jimmy Wayne, and had Lorrie Morgan compliment a Keith Whitley cover, not to mention the compliments from all the live acts I've worked with. I've opened shows for Grammy award winning artists and several other national acts and have written and recorded music that has been played on radio stations across the country. If you question my "raw" ability, you're welcome to come on out to a show and find out for yourself. Otherwise, please move along and take all the ignorance somewhere that'll buy it.
When you see someone sitting singing with a guitar you expect what you are hearing to be raw but it is not. I was looking for the videos you said you said were recorded on just a cell phone and could not find them.
Dude, what is your deal with recorded music? Respectfully, if you're looking for a channel with nothing but dry performances, please go look elsewhere. Yes, some of my videos are recorded with microphones and have been mixed....some are dry as a bone off a cell phone. I dont need to be told what I have or haven't done to every performance. I was there when I did it. This is the 3rd video with comments about it, and it's really unnecessary.
You are so great, I have been following you for years.
Lovely voice
Hey pal, missing you on Twitter, I think you should start tending to it again
I saw a live video also it was effects laden also. Really would like to see the videos of just a cell phone recording because I could never find any?

What’s unnecessary is presenting these performances as raw and you know damn well they are not.

Compression and reverb and a tad of delay.
