The cut in half trick truly blew my mind. Only now years later do I realize a human torso exists and is part of the trick. Amazing.
you don't need a human torso to perform this. Just be super flexible to bend the legs behind the back.

I was shocked by the trick when I first saw it and I realized that someone without legs *must* have been involved, but I couldn't work out who the legs belonged to. I think I thought it was robotic legs or something and I was so confused while trying to make sense of it that I didn't notice the switching over to a third person. The magician used various tricks to scramble our brains with that one (a proper "WTF?" trick) and the whole team involved in it performed it superbly.
So this guy sees through the best magician's tricks, but has never seen a stapler before?

With Magicians, 90% of the trick is in the act. That will throw the audience off of what they are really doing. I do it myself, and I can't even call myself an amateur magician. I had studied this particular cut in half trick for a while, and it had me stumped. Thank you.

The last effect reminded me of something that Ricky Jay wrote about in his book "Learned Pigs and Fireproof Women".
There were two men he talked about named Tripp and Bowen (one being legless ((Tripp)) and the other was Bowen.
I believe in that chapter that it was Tripp had an identical twin full size brother.
He and his brother (along with a little person in a pair of full length trousers) worked with a magician doing the "Sawing the Person in Two Effect".
After the full sized brother was sawed in a half, a switch occurred and after the upper and lower torso(s) were "reunited the victim was asked to take a bow.
The "man" fell into two parts with the lower torso walking off stage in one direction, and Mr. Tripp walking off stage on his hands in the other direction.

Wow! You gotta a creative genius to come up with these illusions. Obviously, some of these magicians learned it from somewhere else but had to really work on the craft. But the original magicians thst actually created such illusions is incredible

When a trick uses assistants I feel... like cheating on me.
The last trick with a real dismembered guy feels like double cheating.
That's why I love card tricks and alike so much. No stage, no assistants, no script on them. Just actual skills without stage cheats.
... until you understand how the card tricks work, how so many use forced choice, fake shuffles, prepped decks... and you feel cheated too. The point is, all magic becomes disappointing when the trick is revealed.
Rbum4 no because in some tricks there’s still skill involved. Like sleight of hand for example.
But there are also card tricks that involve gimmicks and I don’t like those either.

@@Rbum4 but only the magician knows the trick and also fools you mentally to make you think that you actually selected a card randomly. That's also skills. No fake assistants.
Having an assistant is like watching a card trick where the fooled guy is actually an assistant faking that the card trick worked.
I feel the same way. Like you said, with a lot of the other tricks like card tricks, there is still some skill involved. Using misdirection and sleight of hand is super difficult and the trick couldn’t be done without these skills, even if there are some prop items used. One example that comes to mind is the trick where the guy is pulling beers out from every which way. When you know how it was done, it seems pretty simple, but the sleight of hand required to pull it off as well as he did (all by himself) is seriously high level, at least in my opinion.
When too many prop items are used, then it changes things because like having assistances do all the work, especially if they aren’t disclosed as being assistants, then very little of the trick relies on actual skill from the magician. Where you could give them credit for at least being talented enough to trick large audiences with their skills, you can’t even do that anymore because they had nothing to do with it other than being a stage presence. This strikes me a lot with the first trick. If that was how the trick was done, the only thing that the magicians even did was flip the number somewhat using sleight of hand but not really. Other than that, they just let their non-disclosed assistant do the biggest job and then prop paper do the other part. I get that for people who aren’t learning how the trick was actually done, this was probably an amazing trick and felt like magic, which I suppose is the whole point, but I definitely agree that it feels wrong that despite the outward appearance of talent and magic, the “magicians” are actually doing very little that any average joe off the street couldn’t do (by using a non-disclosed assistant which just feels so slimy to me!).

Riana's trick is always on the rim of danger. What is Park jokingly change his word "happiness" into another word. What would Riana do??? Total crush of the performance.:)
She would then just not reveal the pre-written word "UNHAPPINESS". Nobody would know that she only did half of her act. Park did kind of mess her up when he said "HAPPY" rather than "UNHAPPINESS". She most like (sneakily) got her question to ask Park from reading his recent social media pages.

This is edited. That cart went of the stage before where the bent guy would have gotten out, this just wasn't shown in this video. You know this because it's a completely different look from 9:12 to 9:14. As for the time it goes off stage with the fake legs to put the real full guy back on, sometimes things just require a lot of coordinated timing and clever misdirection. There are several magic tricks that the key moment has to be done very quickly.
just remember in any magic show. just give a big credits to those assistants whom made any magic shows successful
