FSU has foolishly gone scorched earth. CLEMSON has wisely focused on just getting judicial confirmation of the disputed contractual terms and applicable law.
So, do you believe that the ESPN is OK with Fox planting a B1G flag in the Florida, Georgia, Alabama market? I think that's where people think the ESPN plays defense. FSU wants the B1G anyway, for the AAU benefits.
Both of them are perhaps unwittingly doing the dirty work for UNC and UVA. Those are the two most coveted acc brands. The sec is already in South Carolina and Florida. North Carolina and Virginia are jewels, with lots of new viewers, just waiting to be plucked. Believe me, if the two patsies, fsu/clemson are successful in their endeavor UNC and UVA will be the first off the board. Not to mention the bidding war that will take place for their services.
@@SuperWarJam As things stand, ND is only delaying the inevitable. The SEC/B1G will eventually go to ~24 each and have a separate playoff, which will force ND to finally join. That's when such an alliance will pay off.
Miami is headed to the Big10, AAU certified, natural rivals with, Nebraska, PennSt, Ohio State and Notre Dame (if they come with). Miami is a national brand and has the tv market.
Miami and FSU are going to the B10 as pair just like USC and UCLA! The top 3 populated states 1#California 2# Texas 3# Florida. The B10 has California. The SEC has Texas and Florida with UF. The B10 isn't in Florida or the Southeast! This comes down to CFB brands, CFB history of winning big, CFB potential and CFB weekly national matchups. As Chicago/MidWest native and a Cane fan, I've lived in Central West coast of Florida for 20 plus years. This state population has double since I've been her to 23/24 million and grows daily. This state is full of Midwest and East coast transplant which includes me. That means, it has alot of Big 10 alums and fans living here. Also, unlike the new former Pac 10 schools of UCLA, USC, Oregon and Washington, Miami and FSU are EST versus PST. Why is that important! TV matchups times!
I think Miami is going to stay in ACC if they don’t get a P2 invite. They would not want to be in a conference with UCF when they see them as a G5 still
Being a Die-Hard Miami fan, my whole life born and raised in Austin, TX having to travel to Miami 3-4 times a season to see my squad play. Personally, this would be HUGE!!! Won't have to travel as much now
Don’t go to any West Coast conference. Long road trips for half your games just about guarantees at least 2 losses every year. Stay on the east coast as we always have been. As an independent you can play all the big teams because they don’t count as a conference game for them. We used to play Michigan,Penn State and Notre Dame in the same season. It doesn’t seem to be hurting Notre Dame to be independent. When you play the best you attract the best players.
As a long time WVU fan, I remember the WVU-Miami days, and it was fun, but I also remember that Miami's reputation was about as bad as their record was good. The record has gone down, but they haven't convinced me that their reputation has gone up. Admittedly, I pay pretty close to zero attention to Miami. Give me Louisville, Pitt, and V Tech, and either NC or NC State. Yes, adding Florida St. to the Big 12 would be ideal, but I don't see it happening. Miami has long been about flash and brag, so maybe Deion Sanders will go there when he's tired of playing draw poker at Colorado. (He coaches like a poker player who thinks that if he just keeps taking 4 cards every round, he'll get a good hand sooner or later.)
The ACC will settle with FSU and Clemson much sooner rather than later. Miami’s problem is where their stadium is located. It doesn’t have a college feel about it whatsoever. Alex is right, unless Miami starts winning 11 or 12 games a year consistently, they may not get an invite to one of the Big Two Conferences.
The stadium location is the least of their problems despite what you hear the money and the stingy Miami officials are the problem. If it were up to them they'd be an independent.
I think the ACC will stick around, losing some teams and adding others but the money per team will be a lot less and the conference payout from the playoffs will go down.
everybody wants their program to move up, we all want to be in the power 2, its just not going to happen. If the ACC implodes and programs start moving on, and the new TV contract is not going to pay nearly as well, why not move lateral? If the Big 10 and SEC pass on Miami, they will have three choices, stay in the ACC, even as other teams try to get out and fill it with programs from the American, join the Big XII which will make better money or go independent and hope to negotiate some sort of stream service deal with hulu or something and dump your olympic sports in the Big East or Atlantic 10.
@deathsavearcade3951 How would the new ACC be more depleted? It's quite possible teams like Miami, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Pitt would be part of the new ACC. Those teams are as good if not better than anyone in the Big 12.
Pittsburgh went 0-2 against the Big 12 last year. The second place team in the ACC couldn’t beat their rival Kentucky or win the Holiday Bowl against a depleted USC team. They may be good, but there’s no way in hell they’re better than many schools in the Big 12.
@@Patrick-sg7cm those are the four teams I see tied going to the Big XII when the ACC implodes. I've seen a few articles mentioning them as landing in the Big XII. My team, WVU, has been through this a few times, first when the Big East was raided by the ACC 20 years ago, again when the ACC raided the Big East again a few years later, and for the third time when the SEC took Texas and Oklahoma. The first thing that happens when the top programs leave is panic, cooler heads may prevail, but when the alumni, donors and the fan bases start getting upset when talks of reduced revenue coming in through tv contracts the schools will start looking for alternatives. The Big XII might not be as sexy as the Power 2, but if the ACC implodes and they can land those four programs you mentioned it will be pretty much the best of the rest conference.
What do you mean UCF in Miami would be an awesome rivalry every year that fans would show up and support on both sides as well as just mentioning the four schools that the big 12 must have two separate tiers, tier one Miami and Louisville, tier 2 Virginia Tech and Pitt there you have it
Good point, if Miami started losing to UCF all the time nobody would watch Thankfully, we still have Florida and Florida State to play instead of Miami if U continues to fade
Miami and fsu are going to the same conference whether it’s the sec or big10 they aren’t leaving that rivalry. Miami has no intention of playing in the big12 as it’s a massive step down
They do not have to leave the rivalry. All the state legislature has to do is pass a law mandating it like with UF. And you guys thinking the revised ACC is going to be better than the Big 12 will be surprised at the new tv deal.
@@richardbrookins5406 a) I doubt that the State of Florida can mandate a private school play any other team. b) A reasonably rebuilt ACC should be peer with the new BIG12 financially. FSU and MIAMI could both end up in the B1G, highly doubtful both in the SEC.
They don't have to be in the same conference to have a rivalry and Miami is so far they might have a choice on the big or sec. Fsu doesn't seem to be at the top of the sec's wishlist either.
@@richardbrookins5406 Why do you think the B10 wanted UCLA along with USC? Because of the state of California population, recruiting and tv markets. Miami and FSU in CFB has done more than USC and UCLA the last 40 years on a big time scale.

As Miam fan, we aren't going to the B12 but the B10 along with FSU as pair for that B10 footprint in the Southeast in the South biggest state and the 3rd largest state. It will be just like the USC And UCLA move to the B10! Clemson and UNC might or would be added just like Oregon and Washington were add for play partners for USC and UCLA on the West. Another SespnEC homer who actually thinks they are the best. Oh wait, the B!G took the trophy. No amount of drinking and crying is going to change that.
Miami should not go to the Big 12. That conference has mostly west coast teams. The travel back and forth is too much for a season. One game OK but 5 or 6 games is too much. The Big 10 makes more sense because they need a footprint in Florida where most of the talent is. Nothing will happen this season anyway because schedules are already set. Rather than the Big 12 I would rather see Miami go back to being an independent. When they were independent they played a much better schedule with the likes of Notre Dame, Pen State and Michigan.
Miami U reminds me of Univ Houston. Big city with pro sports and lots of options for entertainment. If the team is winning, fans will show up. This is EXACTLY what the P2 wants to avoid. They want crazy ravenous college town fans who sell out stadiums when your team is 5-7. Nebraska, A&M, fit this mold exactly. Miami does not.
Just another reason UCF is likely gonna pass up Miami eventually No NFL competition, own and play in their own stadium, way bigger school, more attractions, and the majority of future growth in the State will be closer to Orlando UCF has already doubled its revenue in the last decade, and tripled its licensing income despite not being in a major Conference and far less media exposure. Now that it’s in the B12 that upward growth is only going to increase I want to see Miami successful, but if they don’t regain some of the magic of the past they are going to be passed up soon

Love videos on the collapse of the ACC. The Big4-UNC, NCS, Duke and WF-practically kicked USC out back in very early 70s. Bad Karma has taken a long time but it's finally biting the ACC's butt. The ACC ruined the Big East and practically became the Big East part 2. The ACC's top teams want out and the ACC is looking bad by suing its own members. There is no way ND joins that Walking Dead Conference in FB now.

They didn't jump on the suite because of the binding language within the grant of rights.. FSU and Clemson are kicking and screaming but I highly doubt the GOR is broken. These media outlets are just spinning narratives the ACC isnt going anywhere in the foreseeable future.
More likely Miami chooses the third option: 2027 Phase 1 of the ESPN Super League w/ unequal revenue sharing: - Florida State - Clemson - Miami - North Carolina - Virginia - Stanford - Cal - Notre Dame
I keep seeing this Miami-to-B12 line being repeated on a couple of podcasts but nowhere credible. I’ll believe it when I see it. If the B12 can get a couple of ACC brand like UM and FSU it certainly could close some of the gap between the B12 and BTen/SEC, but I could also see those two leagues colluding to keep the Big 12 from increasing its value. Sankey seems hell bent on ruining college football as we know it, and he knows Brett Yormark is a threat to his power grab.

BS! Miami is going to the B10! I'm a Cane fan and a Chicago/MidWest native who has lived in Central West Coast of Florida for 20 plus years. This state is full of Mid West transplants like myself and East coast transplants. What does that mean? This is state is full of B10 alums and fans. I moved to Florida and it had 12 million and Illinois 11 million 20 plus years ago. 2024, Illinois has 11million and Florida has 23 million. USC and UCLA got full shares and Oregon and Washington didn't get full shares. Why do you think that was? Because of the population of the state of California. It will be no different for Miami and FSU in the B10! Miami a course has big history against FSU but it has big history against Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Washington.
These are 50 year decisions. Miami not being consistently good the last 20 years doesn't discount what they did the 20 years prior, or what they can do over the next 20 years. Miami fans find their way to Tallahassee in noticeable numbers. Every time Florida State shows up their Stadium is full. There is a generation that simply is not as interested in football games. I’m a Seminole living in Tallahassee, and recently I discovered my soon to be 16 year old nephew had never been to a FSU football game. I am going to elevate that issue. Anyone watching FSU during 2024 will notice the Westside Stands from goal line to goal line were torn down & temporary seats installed. For 2025 Doak Campbell Stadium will be drastically different with cushioned back seating area installed, more legroom , wider & deeper hard back, and bleacher seating, Suites, Lodges, power for electric devices. The entire Underbelly with Air Conditioning, New Lighting, New Restrooms, New Concession, the New Layout reminded me of a Mall. For those wanting to return to the seats in the vast majority of the Westside Stands will require a one time donation of $5000 - $15,000 + Ticket Prices (multiple payment options). FSU sold out day-1. The South End Zone & the attached Champions Club will open back up with 3 distinct levels & pricing. All Skyboxes & Press Boxes will be remodeled. The Eastside Stands are a mystery that will unfold after the end of 2024; however, they are working under there now. The New Doak Campbell Stadium will open with Alabama in a 2025 (Out of Conference) home & home series. There dropped a great big hint where Florida State University is expected to land. In 2027 Georgia will be in Tallahassee to start another (Out of Conference) series. Hint-2 dropped. Florida State University fills Doak Campbell with 60% of fans driving more than 3 1/2 hours one way. The remainder come from JAX, Tampa, and the greater Tallahassee area. That puts FSU in direct competition with Professional teams ATL, JAX, and Tampa. *Despite encourage from its member’s to reach out to Big XII members OK State, Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor, etc.. Miami and UCF are already competitors in recruiting, media market, and brand growth
UCF has come from obscurity just like Miami did in the 80’, and is the fastest growing program in the Nation. They have a long ways to go to pass Miami up… but you’d have to be a fool to not see how they are starting to make inroads into the same market and recruiting pool Miami has dominated for decades
A lot will depend upon success. Fans is Florida only care about winning.
Should be a cool rivalry, hopefully on the field again in the future
And KJ passed on Miami for UCF and now we got Jacurri Brown to back him up.
I love how FSU,Clemson and whomever else believe they will break the grant of rights deal w/espn will then be offered more money by espn. Silliness.
Absolutely...this right here... 100%. The FSU fan fiction is at insane levels.
@@antonyrogers265 ESPN only cares about the remaining terms of its contracts. The SEC may have concerns about the B1G expanding south.
Miami doesn’t have a spot in the Power 2 - that’s why they haven’t sued yet.
And they won’t have a spot in the power 2
MIAMI appears to have allied with ND.
@@tarheel7406 that’s pretty foolish bc ND only cares about ND
Yep.
It’s all about the rivalries in college football. Miami will go wherever fsu goes.
I think Miami is going to stay in ACC if they don’t get a P2 invite. They would not want to be in a conference with UCF when they see them as a G5 still
Miami never won the ACC, it would maybe take 50 years to have a shot at winning SEC/B10🤣
How is the ACC on its last leg?
Alex knows exactly why the SEC is not a good idea for The U.
Yeah bc they would def go another 20 years without a 10+ win season…
Being a Die-Hard Miami fan, my whole life born and raised in Austin, TX having to travel to Miami 3-4 times a season to see my squad play. Personally, this would be HUGE!!! Won't have to travel as much now
This is click bait.
What isn’t anymore
Don’t go to any West Coast conference. Long road trips for half your games just about guarantees at least 2 losses every year. Stay on the east coast as we always have been. As an independent you can play all the big teams because they don’t count as a conference game for them. We used to play Michigan,Penn State and Notre Dame in the same season. It doesn’t seem to be hurting Notre Dame to be independent. When you play the best you attract the best players.
Part of the problem packing Hard Rock Stadium is that it is so far away from Miami’s campus. Miami needs its own stadium close to or on campus.
There is no problem with Hard Rock Stadium! You none Miami fans who don't live here in Florida, you need to stop talking Miami and stadium.
Better chance at getting FSU than UNC.
When Clemson and FSU leave, Miami should just stay in the ACC forever and maybe they will be able to win their very first conference championship
Don't you know the acc is done for doomed no more !

@@eh7847 I wasn't kidding.
I think the ACC will stick around, losing some teams and adding others but the money per team will be a lot less and the conference payout from the playoffs will go down.
Miami is trying to be a good member. They'll leave soon enough.
Miami didn't even join the conference till 2004 so how can they be running the show in the ACC in 2003?
Wake Forrest is perfect for the Big12 if the ACC implodes.
Disappointed in Alex…as Miami fan
he does not speak for me and most Miami fans…would not want the Big 12 or any lateral movement.
Lateral is better than going down with a sinking ship.
everybody wants their program to move up, we all want to be in the power 2, its just not going to happen.

Miami isn’t moving to a conference that has already been depleted out.
You seem a wittle upset.
So you’re just staying in one that’s even move depleted? Got it
@deathsavearcade3951 How would the new ACC be more depleted?
Wow, Miami fans are not too happy about the possibility of joining the Big 12? I didn't know Miami had any fans.

Good point, if Miami started losing to UCF all the time nobody would watch
Thankfully, we still have Florida and Florida State to play instead of Miami if U continues to fade

They don't have to be in the same conference to have a rivalry and Miami is so far they might have a choice on the big or sec. Fsu doesn't seem to be at the top of the sec's wishlist either.

THIS is why the Canes will be left out of a super league. Ditto UCLA.
Just another reason UCF is likely gonna pass up Miami eventually
No NFL competition, own and play in their own stadium, way bigger school, more attractions, and the majority of future growth in the State will be closer to Orlando
UCF has already doubled its revenue in the last decade, and tripled its licensing income despite not being in a major Conference and far less media exposure. Now that it’s in the B12 that upward growth is only going to increase
I want to see Miami successful, but if they don’t regain some of the magic of the past they are going to be passed up soon

UCF doesn’t share their home or stadium with anyone, they ARE Orlando’s football team. The Central part of Florida is exploding in growth and while a young school, UCF is huge in size and its alumni/supporter base is growing at a faster pace than Miami has or could ever achieve.

@@GrizrazRex Yeah because they play shitty teams currently (WF, Duke, Syracuse, BC) Watch what happens when they join the SEC!
UNC and UVA dragging their feet benefits Miami greatly.
@WeSRT4 and when they join the sec and get boat raced on a consistent basis, you think fans will show up? Haha
Na this ain’t 2004 pal
I think miami is going to the bigten
I hate clickbait titles. Your blocked
misleading title?
Very misleading!
He does this a lot and it’s obvious why. Unsubscribed
You dont have 2 yrs! Miami has been prety bad for a good while Just good recruits isnt all that makes a great team.
What did the big 12 do wrong to get stuck with Miami and their fan? lol
The only good for for Miami is B1G
2nd choice SEC
Sorry BIG 12 fans, I mean no disrespect, but Miami only joins if they don’t get invited to the big boy party.
No more clickbait titles, please.
You are better than this and can rely on talent.
Again Miami is saying no they don't wanna be in the Big 12 😂
We’ve heard this before, sit back and watch
Drake deleted my comment
@@INFAMOUSfrontRunn3r wut was your comment?
Miami is delusional
Virtually every matchup in the big12 is better than:
Miami v BC
Miami v Cuse
Miami v GT
Miami v UVA
Miami v WF
Miami v duke
How is the ACC so much better when the big12 has better teams and better money which will only get better. Miami can twist in the wind as far as im concerned.
@@INFAMOUSfrontRunn3r You and most other BIG12 fans suffer the same conceit, namely that your vanilla middle competitors are better than those elsewhere. Tier 2 football will be fungible. Against whom does MIAMI prefer in other sports? With whom associated, including listings on the sports page?
Vs. IOWAST and BAYLOR for instance aren't very attractive from an objective viewpoint, much less from a subjective.
Great win Georgia….beat FSU’s 4th string players. Nice lost Georgia, loss to a lowly 2-lost Bama !!!
Everyone complaining of clickbait - welcome to the internet nerds.

Click bait losers.
Miami is perfect for the B12
BS! Miami has alot of history with many of the non West coast B10 teams. Miami has played Ohio State and Penn State for national titles.
