It's possible to soften the adhesive with heat using a hair dryer on high temp/low wind setting. Depends on the adhesive used, but helps in most cases!
Thanks alot, i left my window open before going to sleep and it started raining so my desk got and all my gear did also the only defekted thing was my keyboard this helped alot to take it apart and clear it and put it back you saved me 150$.
Thanks for the video. I've got this board and was thinking about opening it up to try and dampen some of the ping/spring sound/reverb. Hard to tell from the video, but do you think there's room for a dampening mat or something? Let me know what you think. And again, thanks for the vid.
Steven Saporito theres no way you will fit anything in there. Sadly its connected permanently (solderd). But you might want to try little o-ring dampers under the keycaps. That should help quiet a bit.
@@mista6872 Thanks for your reply. A little while after my comment I did add o-rings. It doesn't really improve the pinging sound, however, with the clack dampened, it doesn't draw my attention as much, so in fact it was a big improvement. Of course with an LED board I had to get clear-ish o-rings, which at first I didn't realize. At any rate thanks again for the cool video it was a big help either way.
@@stevensaporito6966 I will say that desoldering the board and lubing the stabs significantly aided my typing experience for this type of board. The process is extremely tedious and it takes a lot of patience, so it may not be the solution for you.
I was thinking about modding my G810 And making the bezel (Glossy Outer Edge) Clear and frosted so the LEDs would shine through. Reckon that bit of plastic is clear underneath the Gloss coat?
Hi! Im korean trying to dye top of keyboard. I just wanna ask, Is it available to remove 'G' logo?(+ those 3 'lock' parts too) I dont take apart it yet, so I have no idea of its structure.
Mine was imported from china ( Made in China) I cannot seem to pick off the logitech info pad to unscrew the final screw. What should i do please help me.
I just bought this keyboard a week or so ago, and the LED on the Page Up key is broken already :( I was thinking of taking it apart and trying to fix the problem. The bulb was flickering, and then went out. I was thinking it might be a loose connection, but that circuitboard looks fairly well made. Maybe it's just a bad bulb?
is there any way to cleanly remove the sticker and feet? one of my keys only responds under extreme force (probably a messed up contact plate inside the switch) and while it'd be cheaper than sending it for repair, i don't want to mutilate my keyboard over one troublesome key.
right. is the same true for the feet? i'd rather not rip them into chunks to get at the screws. additionally, did you manage to get them to stick back on afterwards?
Several thousand Bees You can use a hair dryer. that should make the feet come off a bit easier. And mine did stick back on afterwards. You could use double side tape to stick the feet on, if they wont stick back

I hate how manufacturers put screws under the rubber feet and stickers.

And if the issue with the kb was liquid spill, it also helps to dry it!

How did you clear it exactly
Works on G810 too. THX
Worked for my G810 too
Yea I am going to paint the top shell of my g810 to THX
Confirmed, worked on my G810 as well.
*_Is it possible to solder MX switches into a GPRO(romerG)/G810?_*
@@Alexpc1276 No, unfortunately it is not. The construction of the switches is completely different and the pcb does not allow for it either.
Thankfully the cable is not soldered to the PCB. Makes it easy to take apart on the spot for cleaning. Thanks for the video.
thank you! i already suspected they had screws under the rubber pads... but fn why???
This was very helpful, thanks.
Lifesaver, thanks! Spilled beer all over mine, but was able to dry it off properly.
LOT OF THANKS! I saved my g810!
Great video! Simple and to the point. Worked for my G810.
Thanks for this! You're a life saver! Cheers!

have you tired using a cutting blade or a flat head screw driver to help pick it off?
we have the same mouse pad
1:00 how do you remove the nameplate?
I just used a screwdriver originally to pry it off.
soo the switches are soldered on the PCB right? and why do you have a white plate? i have nothing like this lol :D
I made it white so the leds can reflect off it better
just painted? :o
Is there a way to disable the LED lights by plugging out some cable?

the G610 sticker on the back that you have to peel back to get at the last screw.
