We've been traveling with dogs in our Winnebago Navion full-time for over two years and have learned a lot along the way. Piper and Ella, our seven year old puggles, have gotten used to life on the road and the RV lifestyle. But it wasn't always easy... Ella had a rough start so we worked hard to make her feel more comfortable and now she loves traveling and exploring all the new places are little home on wheels takes us.
We added a third pup to the mix earlier in 2020 when we were RVing through Mexico. We met Scout on a beach during our island quarantine, quickly falling in love. Helping a dog who had never even been inside get acclimated to tiny living and life on the road was an entirely different challenge. But we're happy to report that Scout is thriving in her new life. She loves looking out the window on travel days and hiking to all the incredible places we visit!

My husband and I are beginning the process of starting to live fulltime in an RV. We have 3 dogs as well and that has been a huge concern of mine. I have been non stop debating our plans due to those concerns until I just watched your video!! This has helped me feel alot more at ease for our fur babies. Thank you so VERY MUCH!!!

My husband and I are doing the same thing! Just sold out house and will soon be buying our rig, which we are also buying with our three Frenchies in mind. I have not been sleeping because I worry most about leaving them when we adventure out. What if someone breaks in? Ugh. And downsizing our doggies is out of the question!! Glad to see we are not the only dog crazy full time RV’ers! I’d love more tips on this like where to potty, how are they safe around other dogs, etc. ☺️ great video!!

Thank you so Much for all the info!! I have been thinking about buying an RV, (after I sell my house) and wondered how it would work with my 2 big dogs--german shepherd and lab mix. I know I definitely need both of them trained more . I have written down your info and plan to watch more of your videos. Traveling alone will also bring more concerns but at this time in my life, I don't want to keep putting things off.

Love this! I'm solo, with 3 Labrador Retrievers, 33ft Travel Trailer. It is a part time job to manage their needs, clean after them, and enjoy activities with them. Wish I had a husband to share duties, but I don't. Currently, we are at a Lake where they are allowed to swim. Otherwise, I sneak them into fenced tennis courts, ball parks, and go on individual hikes. It is a part time job. I don't recommend it as a solo, but I am buying a new house in 2024, so it's not forever. I would love to see what leashes, tethers, etc you use for them. In RV parks, I try to only have 2 dogs out at a time. Some people get persnickity about more than two. I don't stay unless the management okays 3 labrador retrievers. Since they aren't an aggressive breed, I have almost always been accepted.

Also would like to recommend a printout of CPR for pets. Philip had to use it on Shasta once and Aubie about 4 times to save their lives. It's a really good thing to have. Never going back to kibble, lost 3 pets and almost lost my big girl until I started looking into things. Dry food is mostly carbs and a dogs body doesn't need them. The body turns carbs into sugar and that's where lots of the cancers come from. I get my dog food from Raw Paws and will make use of Boondockers Welcome to get it shipped to me.

Bryanna, two of our dogs are Puggles from the same litter (half pug, half beagle), and Scout is our Mexican beach dog with unknown lineage. 😂 If I were to guess, I think she has some whippet or a pointer breed in her, but she is definitely 100% cute! 👍 - Howard

We're not full time but we have 3 dogs and everytime we're out walking them someone will make a comment about how many dogs we have. One is medium size and the other 2 are small I don't understand why people think 3 dogs is alot 🤷

I’m thinking of becoming a full time rv-er. However I have four dogs (toy breed). I know about BLM and boondocking. But I’m wondering how you find rv parks that accept this number of dogs. Do you find it hard traveling with three?

    Time for a fifth wheel.

Others have said that too, Mark! 😄 We love the flexibility and ease of traveling in our Navion, but definitely appreciate how much more space you get in a 5th wheel. I just don't think the 5th wheel pairs well with our style of travel. -Howard

Great question. We use our webcam to keep tabs and the notifications from it tell us if the temp is outside our set range, barking, etc. Works well for us! 👍 -Howard

hard to find campground for 3 dogs isnt it

Darren, it can be! Public campgrounds we've never had an issue, but private can be a mixed bag (even different locations of a brand/chain). We've gotten used to scouring websites or calling in advance. A couple times they have granted us a waiver just by asking in advance. Thanks for watching! -Howard

I love you guys cause you are dogs lovers:).... I’m have two German Shepherd and Chihuahua and I love them to death:)
So yes I enjoy very much watching your beautiful video and Especially enjoy how the dogs interact with each other.
You should get a collar with spikes on it to protect the dogs from Coyotes when they attack the like to go for the neck of the the animal.
And you should also carry a EMERGENCY KITS FOR THE DOGS ALONG AND A TRACKING COLLAR IN CASE ONE GET LOSE.
I HAVE FI SMART COLLAR....IS LET YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR DOGS ARE AND IF ONE OF YOU GUYS TAKE A WALK WITH THE ITS ALERT YOU WHO GOT YOUR DOG, BUT THAT WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE APP.
I FEEL SAFE WITH MY DOGS WHEN I GO FOR WALK WITH THEM.
You can get at FI SMART COLLAR.COM

Rat poison is cruel and an awful way to die; will also kill cats and birds of prey if they get ahold of a poisoned rat. Hope you have switched to another method...such as deterrants, live traps, or at the very least a quicker death for most which is snap traps. Had pet rats before and once tame have personalities more like dogs than any other animal ive had so if you like dogs not sure why youre poisoning animals who are capable of the same emotions.. sorry if it wasnt yours they got into.
