This is super helpful. It would be awesome if you guys did a longer video on how best to clean your boat/ trailer after being in the salt. Saltaway to flush the motors, where you should spray it in the boat (bilge, fish boxes, etc.). I've got my method for my seahawk but would love to see what the experts do.

I use a 2 gallon Hudson sprayer with Saltaway solution in it and thoroughly spray down/soak my trailer brake components with it after launching. This really helps keep the rust away. I have a friend that never does this and his brakes and leaf springs are completely rusted. Our trailers are about the same age but they look nothing alike. I have minimal areas of surface rust and he has rust that is flaking off everywhere.

Very good information. I have an issue with this subject that I will be addressing this week. On my transom extension (2015 2300C) there is a screwed down access plate for inside of the extension that has an overlap. Every screw hole has an area of blistered paint around it. I have purchased a custom mixed rattle can of the factory color paint as well as a self etching primer and clear coat. I would love to see a video on how to properly address the correction of this condition. My intention is to thoroughly clean, sand, clean, primer, and repaint the problem area top and bottom. My question to you is with this overlapping cover with screws that bite into the aluminum, how do I keep this problem from reoccurring?

That was absolutely Zero help, show some damage, show how to protect the aluminum from electrolysis show something other than how to caulk. Like what to do if your boat is in a hot marina, maybe hang a chunk of zinc off the dock, and so on
