How does global Changemakers’ work improve climate & health solutions? | PE Leadership Program

As we wrap up a transformative year in the Public Engagement Leadership program, led by Dalberg, we ask our inaugural cohort of Changemakers to reflect on new perspectives they have gained at the intersection of climate and health.
The program, funded by Wellcome Trust, identified 18 Changemakers from across 14 countries, all working to avert catastrophic climate breakdown while ensuring human health thrives. Over a year-long period, we delivered a tailored leadership program for the Changemakers focused on cultivating the skills and mindsets required to develop effective and impactful public engagement strategies. This program drew on approaches and tools from intersectional climate and health, systems thinking, adaptive leadership, storytelling and communication, and inclusive community engagement, facilitated by subject matter and lived experience experts and coaches.
To mark the program's close, Dalberg hosted an in-person convening in Nairobi, Kenya in Nov 2023. The 3-day convening brought together our Climate x Health community of Changemakers and expert guests; where they focused on fostering connections, discussing learnings and experiences from the program, and envisioning the way forward.
