I feel if EY compensates fairly then you should get fair money irrespective of the last drawn salary. Its actually not legal in USA to ask for previous salary slips. EY is similar to Deloitte and with one year of experience you should easily be asking for 8 lPA. BoA has really low balled you.. they make so much money and still paying the same salary as they did 10 years ago.
That is a typical salary at EY. I know that Deloitte pays a lot more than that for entry level. For your first job its okay... use the opportunity to gain valuable experience.
Hello sir, I am a 2023 fresher Btech graduate in IT. I am offered 7.6lpa( 6 lakh fixed + 60K variable + 1 lakh join bonus) by Delloite India(not USI) for HR tech transformation role....on the other hand i am offered 7.5lpa(fixed) by Capgemini for senior analyst role....which one will be better?....also I want to mention that I want to switch to product based company in future.
After so many years at Deloitte as I mentioned, it is a great firm and Capgemini is great as well! However if you want have even a chance of “onsite” project opportunity then Capgemini wins. also consider the group.. “HR transformation” vs group in capgemini.. what kind of data would you like to analyze or see. HR data is basically people, salary, levels, growth et .. i dont know what capgemini is offering you…so consider that before making a decision. Dont just go with “brand” mindset. Consider what kinda data would you like to see. Choosing brand over work will hurt you in the long run. I have first hand experience.
Wow cant believe EY will be so low. My first salary in India in 2009 was 3.2 LPA So basically after a decade these firms are still offering the same. Having said that, see it as getting experience and use it for your next job.
Very very tough and its next to impossible.. but i cant say that it never happens. “Never say never 😊” There are 2 ways. 1. If you work on a project with a canadian team, you can ask the partner to sponsor you (you will need to have great rapport with that person almost like best friends for this to happen) 2. Global Mobility: there is a program within big4 that helps people gain foreign experience by letting them transfer to foreign entity for a few years. Many people apply to this and very few get it. Short answer, its very tough and its better that you go there through PR yourself and then find a job.
Hi Is the data really correct? I mean what the posted on quora is correct but I presume it's for the software eng roles . In 2016 too deloitte had offered something similar money to my friend when were n undergrad For consulting the big 4 + Accenture hire from mba colleges in india and mostly the top 15 mba colleges . The package they offer is 20lakhs ctc at the minimum (yes there are hidden elements in it too but 8lakhs is a bit low for this ) Then there are the big 3 who offer 30l
I have worked in Big 4 in India and I can tell you that the data is pretty close to real numbers.. I have myself interviewed people for entry level position from BE schools… i dont think just having a MBA degree gets you 20 Lakhs CTC. Many factors are considered before an offer… Its still pretty good compared to other companies IMO.
@@ambarish-dongre No I was referring to how the management consultant roles which are mostly offered to the mba grads from top colleges (and maximum 20 percent of the entire batch if everything goes well).even getting into those colleges is strenuous task For ex- Bcg mckinsey and bain don't even bother going colleges below the the top 7 , isb ,xlri, iim a b c , fms mostly . rest Of big 4 + Accenture go to upto top 15 college for recruiting freshers in strategy & management consulting roles But yes these firms do hire from tier 1 btech colleges for portfolios of research analyst or similar for decent enough package of 10-12L . Hence I thought the 8lakhs amount are a bit low for a consultant ( roles of research analyst though it's fine )
Hi Ambarish. I am having 1.5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and currently working in Accenture with 4.26 LPA base pay...now i am looking for a change how much its fair to expect from big4?
I got an offer of 4.5 from EY GDS for the role of Associate in Risk Management. I have an experience of 1 year 8 months in F&A domain before this. Is my offer too low. Kindly suggest further path from here.
I feel this is too low balled offer. I know that Deloitte offers more than this to people straight from college. They have not considered your work experience. If this is a lateral hire then you should definitely ask for a level above associate (experienced associate) . Its employee market so don’t just settle without proper fight.

One good thing about such big firms is that your last drawn salary typically doesn’t effect much. I mean it can affect the top of the range but certainly you will be in the range of what others are getting at your level. I mean if associate consultant typically gets 6-12 lakhs, there is no way you will get less than 6. Also there is no way you will get 12+ . In this case, you shall be closer to 6.
@@ambarish-dongre thank you ❤️
What is an advanced analyst position in GDS?
Hi, Ambarish
Ima got selected in EY GDS what should be the salary for 3.5 yrs of exp??
EY GDS is paying less as per the comments so your salary at 3.5 must be around 6 -7 LPA. Please let me know if I am right/wrong.
Ok so what should be my Salary for next year after increment and how much increment should i get
as i get 7.5 LPA??
Typical increment in big4 india is 10-15 %
U can get 20 if u are exceptional
@@ambarish-dongre and VPB is payed separate right?? Apart from increment??
Yes that is different
I got placed in EY GDS as assurance associate with CTC of 3.5 lakh. Should I take up the job?
That is a typical salary at EY. I know that Deloitte pays a lot more than that for entry level. For your first job its okay... use the opportunity to gain valuable experience.
Thank you!!
@@marcojr1467 how is your interview process ....actually m fresher have an interview tmrw for assurance associate role
Can you tell for corporate finance and investment banking domain for Analyst role?
Not sure about those but I dont understand why it will be significantly different.
Very informative
Trasfer is available In big 4 from India to us ?
Absolutely not.
However there may be a few lucky ones who are able to make a transfer.
Are you in offshore audit?
I worked from India for 2 years. Back to US now
@@ambarish-dongre ok like in India Offshore is called GDC. So is it like that
@@2010jibin by GDC you mean Global Delivery Center? If yes then yeah its similar to that but focussed primarily on US clients
@@ambarish-dongre yes it's Global Delivery centre. Actually I just joined GDC in big 4 as a CA and confused about long term growth.
How much should it be for a fresher Chartered Accountant?
EY GDS 3.5 LPA CTC, in hand 27 in Bangalore.. is it good to continue?🥺
Wow cant believe EY will be so low. My first salary in India in 2009 was 3.2 LPA
So basically after a decade these firms are still offering the same. Having said that, see it as getting experience and use it for your next job.
How many years a CA can work in a big 4
as long as He/She wants while doing good work.
How to get foreign posting through big 4 for ca
Very very tough and its next to impossible.. but i cant say that it never happens. “Never say never 😊”
There are 2 ways.
1. If you work on a project with a canadian team, you can ask the partner to sponsor you (you will need to have great rapport with that person almost like best friends for this to happen)
2. Global Mobility: there is a program within big4 that helps people gain foreign experience by letting them transfer to foreign entity for a few years. Many people apply to this and very few get it.
Short answer, its very tough and its better that you go there through PR yourself and then find a job.
@@ambarish-dongre if any one do cpa without CA can he shift towarf abroad?? Plss sir ans
Wipro 6.5 or EY GDS 4.5 ..
Which one I should choose?
2 lakhs is not a small amount man and you know how I feel about big4 in india.
go 4 money
I am going to join as associate
Hi
Is the data really correct? I mean what the posted on quora is correct but I presume it's for the software eng roles . In 2016 too deloitte had offered something similar money to my friend when were n undergrad
For consulting the big 4 + Accenture hire from mba colleges in india and mostly the top 15 mba colleges . The package they offer is 20lakhs ctc at the minimum (yes there are hidden elements in it too but 8lakhs is a bit low for this )
Then there are the big 3 who offer 30l
I have worked in Big 4 in India and I can tell you that the data is pretty close to real numbers.. I have myself interviewed people for entry level position from BE schools… i dont think just having a MBA degree gets you 20 Lakhs CTC. Many factors are considered before an offer… Its still pretty good compared to other companies IMO.
@@ambarish-dongre
No I was referring to how the management consultant roles which are mostly offered to the mba grads from top colleges (and maximum 20 percent of the entire batch if everything goes well).even getting into those colleges is strenuous task
For ex- Bcg mckinsey and bain don't even bother going colleges below the the top 7 , isb ,xlri, iim a b c , fms mostly .
rest Of big 4 + Accenture go to upto top 15 college for recruiting freshers in strategy & management consulting roles
But yes these firms do hire from tier 1 btech colleges for portfolios of research analyst or similar for decent enough package of 10-12L . Hence I thought the 8lakhs amount are a bit low for a consultant ( roles of research analyst though it's fine )
@@Machaivelli Yes, from the top MBA colleges, 20L package is the minimum for a management consultant.
Hi Ambarish.
I am having 1.5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and currently working in Accenture with 4.26 LPA base pay...now i am looking for a change how much its fair to expect from big4?
Easily 9+
@@ambarish-dongre okay thanks!!
8-10 LPA if it's your first offer
6-7 LPA
How much did you get ?
Direct senior associate me joining hota hai.
These numbers are off
I got an offer of 4.5 from EY GDS for the role of Associate in Risk Management.
What should l choose PWC India or reliance jio... please please please please please please please please let me know 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻l am having 8.5 fixed at PWC and 9.4 fixed at jio ,for business analyst position, how's the work life balance for pwc India??
If you prefer technology then go for reliance. If you want stability and looking to settle then pwc
Many factors should be considered while accepting a job. It cannot be just compared based on salary (if the difference is not significant). On brand value I can tell that both are good companies and will give you good experience.
Salary for associate and associate 2?
As I mentioned deloitte offers 7.6 LPA to an associate in India.
@@ambarish-dongre do you know for PWC? 3-4yrs exp associate salary?
Sir i am going to start my post graduation diploma in management and i am targeting these 4 giant company give me some advice to get good salary and please specified the branch which i should pursue my pgdm
I dont think there is a specific degree you need to get into big 4. I have seen people who are Bcom and BE working in the same team. Good luck and Do your best in graduation.. everything will fall in place.
Very nice

Hello sir,
Do company check 12th marks after giving letter of intent?
My joining is in September but i have doubt that ey gds will accept my 12th improvement result or not in first attempt my marks are 58% while giving improvement i applied for 5 subjects but at the end i gave 4 subject improvement in cbse then my 12th my becomes 67% counting best of both results and in campus placement 60% cutoff was there.
Do ey gds will check my 12th marks? Or they will ask for graduation certificate directly?
If they ask for 12th will they consider my 12th improvement marks?
Is there any chance of rejection after letter of intent received by the ey gds due to this?
Please reply sir🙏🙏
I got selected by EY for an associate consultant role(experience required 2-6 years). I am having experience of 2.9 years. My last company salary was very low at 2.5 LPA. How much salary should I ask or be able to get?
One good thing about such big firms is that your last drawn salary typically doesn’t effect much. I mean it can affect the top of the range but certainly you will be in the range of what others are getting at your level.
I mean if associate consultant typically gets 6-12 lakhs, there is no way you will get less than 6. Also there is no way you will get 12+ .
In this case, you shall be closer to 6. (Just as an example. not real numbers)
Comment here after you get the offer so that we know real numbers. I think you can def ask for 7+.
@@ambarish-dongre thanks for the reply. Sure i will inform you how much they offered me.
I dont know if i should give them number of 7lpa as this is going to be more than 100% hike. I am thinking i should say give me a salary of what employees are getting for this job role.
@@saranshsehrawat8544 No. you should say atleast 7. Just becoz you were paid less in your previous job, doesnt mean that you will be stuck in a lower range. Gather courage to say 7+ and give me a party if you get it :)
