The origin of inasal's popularity can be traced back to Bacolod's Cuadra Street (Chicken Alley) in the 1970s. However, there are also several accounts implicating the existence of inasal in Iloilo's Fort San Pedro area during the Spanish colonial period. Nonetheless, the tastes of inasal in the two cities are different. Many people believe that Bacolod's inasal has a slightly sour base flavor, while Iloilo's has a sweet flavor; hence, the taste of inasal in the restaurant chain Mang Inasal.

Mang Inasal's Chicken flavor is not the same as it was before. For some reason Chicken Deli and Makokan Country has a better and deeper taste than Mang Inasal. Pair it with Cansi soup.
True. Mang Inasal was a lot tastier when it was not owned by Jollibee Food Corporation. I can still remember the taste of the chicken back then. Nowadays, I mostly get disappointed by the chicken in Mang Inasal. 😂

Been in bacolod, still the inasal there is dry and skinny. That's why no bacolod inasal resto became popular.

Chicken Inasal is so flavorful that's why most people loved it! Another nice Kristy Pata eating adventure ;)

Try adding a little fine salt on the rice after the chicken oil thin mix it well it's a life changer I promise you'll eat more than you intend to be haha and if you're in the Philippines try going to a Bacolod inasal resto. Mang inasal originated in Iloilo and as being a Bacolodnon ill categorized them as barbeque chicken than inasal but if I want barbecue chicken ill go with mang inasal but if I want the simple authentic chicken Inasal ill go with a chicken house in Bacolod or a chicken deli that also offers unli rice.
Try also eating inasal chicken with acharang papaya you can add chili if you want to be spicy 🙏🏻💖🤗

They may have marinated the chicken longer, hence the deeper flavor. Try JT Manukan in Manila for the original Negrense flavor of chicken inasal if you can't go to Bacolod. There are a few branches, the first ever branch is in Quezon near ABS CBN
Inasal in Iloilo are super good. Even better than mang inasal. I just visited iloilo.
The ads is mang inasal hahaha. Anyways hope your family could also try other authentic Filipino food like: kare kare, pinakbet, bulalo and other food 😊
