Great video. Bts has a lot of haters and this song was a response to them. They came from a small company, that even almost went bankrupt. They didn’t really have a budget, Bts even use to sleep in one bedroom. Bigger companies and companies fans used to look down on them, telling them they would never make it. They also used to print designer labels on their clothing, as they couldn’t afford it. But at they end of the day Bts got the last laugh, as all the hate towards them only fueled them to work harder and achieve the success they have today. Which is why they are so humble and grounded as they know what it’s like to be at the bottom.
BTS definitely got the last laugh. Thank you for all of the BTS history. I love them and want my friends to become #ARMY family.

Hey hey, 45 yo ARMY here in the house! I myself am also OT7 not OG, but Kpop fans are OT. I even had my own hoodie made with OT7 and 2013 on the back and BTS in english and Korean on the front left.

Can I just say how much I love seeing men being apart of ARMY. BTS get so much sh@/t from people because the belief is all their fans are teenage girls who only like BTS for their looks. In reality BTS fans are of all ages (I'm 34), races, nationalities, and genders. And while yes BTS are good looking young men we like BTS for their lyrics, their positive messages, the connection they have with their fans, their incredible live performances and music videos, and just their versatility sonically and lyrically. I don't really have a bias so I consider myself OT7. Mic Drop recently became BTS 4th music video to surpass 1 billion views. And there is a version of Mic Drop featuring Desiigner. I think you should show them Daechwita by Agust D/Suga. And maybe Joke or Do You by RM. But I do think you should react to more BTS videos before going into solo songs. Also a great live performance I think they might like is Outro: Tear (my favorite rap line song). Another great reaction.

They have lots of haters, but it is undeniable that they have lots and lots of people who love them.
Like, millions and millions of fans all over the world. Their songs gets #1s in over 100 countries. Also, tix to their stadium tours were sold out world tours pre pandemic in just mimutes. Now, their paid online concerts get like 1.3M paid viewers. Once the pandemic is over, and they restart their tour, Im sure tix would be a bloodbath

@@REDEMPTION46 jungkook is the center lol not jimin, jungkook is also the main vocalist which means he’s their best vocalist, lead vocalist is jimin and then the other two vocalists are jin and v…Jhope and jimin are both the main dancers, jungkook is the lead dancer , jungkook is a sub rapper and the only vocalist who raps in their songs, rm is the main rapper but suga and Jhope who are both rappers are fire af… and jin is actually the only visual of bts.. jimin isnt. It’s okay that’s why it’s called a bias… sometimes we don’t see them accurately and just think they do everything the best… unless it’s jingkook bc he legit does everything good lol jk is a sub rapper and Jhope is a sub vocalist… they’re the only two with positions in all 3 roles and jungkook is e groups official center for f bts and has been since debut. Def should show them the guide video so we can brush up on some facts for them… the one by Ida s has updated information for 2021 so the most accurate. You guys should watch the dance practice after the mv to see the full choreo to all the songs… or a live… it’s always better live hands down

I have two biases and I don't care what others think about it XD I can't pick between Jimin and Suga, it's as simple as that. And all the other guys are bias wreckers. They're just all so talented and funny and just overal great people it's insane. It's impossible not to love all of them.
you don’t have to have a bias. i find it more natural to have a favorite for a particular performance or song but to have to pick one and then hyper focus on them? not for me. bts works because they all bring greatness to the table.

A lot of comments saying this is a song directed towards the haters... I mean, it is a diss-track, but it is more of a bragging song with a satirical tone. The sentiment they had behind this track was actually something along the lines of "I have let go of my resentment, I have no anger left, I don't care about what haters or strangers may say or think about me. I am confident, I am at peace with myself, and I will continue to do my thing. Bye." Fun fact: this song was partially inspired by one of Barack Obama's speeches, in which he dropped his microphone at the end.
The translations in the MV are correct, but some lines are simplified (they use figures of speech or sociocultural references that sometimes can't be translated directly without a long explanation)... The original version of MIC Drop sounds even more like old school 90s hip-hop, and has more Korean lines (they translated/re-recorded 2/3 of the song to English for this remix). For example, one of SUGA's lines direct/literal translation would be "We never have grapes in our concert"... Normally, when you buy concert tickets online, in Korea, the empty seats are shown in purple color, which they call "grapes" in Korean slang. This phrase in the MV is simplified, so people would understand, as "We never have empty seats in our concert".
I wish the volume of the mic is louder. I had to turn all the way up for me to hear it in the head phone

My bias line is Suga, Jungkook and V but I am OT7 period, I’ve been a Kpop Multistan since 2007; I stan over 16+ male groups / soloists with over 100+ biases (bias wrecker doesn’t exist in my book). You can have more than one bias, there’s no limit unless you set one!
I don't have a bias lol, I used to have one but not anymore bc i got to learn more about them as persons and their personalities,,, so having a bias is not necessary as kpop fans in general make it to be.

I don't know if it's just me but I'm having so much trouble hearing you guys even when I increase my volume. I think the MV also overrides your voices, it would be helpful if you paused and talked so we can hear your comments, to us that is more important =) We want to hear all your opinions on how BTS MVs were filmed since you are filmmakers, and what makes them stand out compared to other artists music videos.

A phrase I hear is “BTS is the genre”. It seems true, I find there are BTS songs for most moods. And adding in the rappers mixtapes or vocalists individual songs/covers give even more content to listen to. 😂 If you really get into them there are behind the scenes, award shows performances, and Run BTS their variety/ game show.

OHHH. Jimin is also my bias. I really love his English voice and his dancing is amazing. Actually, he and J-Hope are both the main dancers in Bts. But Jimin is also one of the best dancers in kpop(along with Taemin (Shinee) and Kai (Exo)) . And they are also close friends, ahah.

This version is just a remix ft. Steve aoki, but the original is in Korean which is cool too, the english part just hits different here.. Composer is RM & JHope together with their former CEO, now chairman, "hitman bang". Produced by Pdogg (from bighit, for Korean and Japanese), and then the remix was steve aoki.

Suggest you watch The Rise of Bangtan series. It’s the best “documentary” of BTS. It also gives context to their struggles, and how different they are from other Kpop groups.
*Even though it opens up with famous Japanese-American DJ Steve Aoki, the song itself is owned by BigHit(HYBE) / BTS and it was written by BTS Leader “RM” (comes out of ambulance) which was said to be inspired by Obama speeches.* After listening to the track and loved it so much that Steve collabed with BTS to make a remix version of their original song “Mic Drop” (which is in Korean) and got featured in their music video. He does get credit for the remix on top of being in the MV, there’s also another remix with Desiigner voice played in the background in the intro of the video. Just to let you know they are not saying the western used “N” word it only sounds like it, the “Naega” word in their language means “I” or “you” in Korean. Everyone who doesn’t understand abit about the language & meanings especially when they hear the “Naega” word; which is very commonly used allot in the asian culture and music. It’s not the same as the “N” word, which allot of americans got too comfortable hearing or saying then assuming automatically when they hear it from a foreigner that’s what they mean, but in this case it has nothing to do with african americans at all. *In some foreign languages/cultures, many common western words will sound similar but have different meanings*

You guys should listen to their cyphers!!! there are 4 (Cypher 1-4 and def check out the live versions after hearing the lyrics). Understanding their lyrics give you a deeper level of appreciation!
I do want to clarify that BTS's move into the Western market was less them jumping over and more ARMYs pulling them over out of sheer enthusiasm. Their label had no plans to pursue the Western market, it only came about because of their nomination at the Billboard Music Awards for Top Social Artist in 2017.

ALL THE MEMBERS CAN SPEAK VERY GOOD ENGLISH BUT RM IS STILL MUCH MORE FLUENT, THEYRE EXTREMELY IMPROVED SINCE A FEW YEARS AGO
They can do any genre.. And it is not better than dynamite, dynamite is a Grammy nominated song and it topped the billboard many times. So it is depending on your taste of music what you prefer to listen to. But keep in mind that they can do any genre and they will rock it

topping billboard and getting grammy nom is great achievement but it does not equate to substance/quality. Especially toppping billboard bc if you have a large dedicated fanbase, it's possible. So though dynamite is the best out of their 3 english songs, in comparison to their other songs, it's average.

Mic Drop is like the unofficial but official song for haters which I love. They expressed their disdain for the hate by simply saying “look I’m here and watch me climb”! When I get sick of my boss at work, I start singing it in Korean while walking away and he has no idea what the hell im saying! He’s a hater!!

I liked the reaction except I had my volume on high and still could barely hear you guys. One thing I would like to mention about BTS. I am a Jin bias because he is thoughtful, funny, intelligent, the oldest, he takes care of the group. He always tries to make them laugh, and he cooks for them a lot. He was not recruited as a dancer, singer or rapper, he was recruited getting off a bus for his looks. In S. Korean Kpop, an idol symbolizes what you expect an idol to be, handsome/pretty, talented, good moral fiber, someone that you want your kids to idolize.
What attracted me to BTS was their choreography when I saw dance at the American Music Awards. You hardly see artists that dance AND sing, they usually have backup dancers. So in their choreography, they are constantly moving the lead singer/rapper into the middle or in front, or away from the group, you can definitely see who is singing/rapping. So they are constantly moving the lead singer and have to change choreography all the time, and whoever is NOT in the lead is now a backup dancer. This is nothing like recent boy bands in the western market. They practiced 10 to 14 hours to learn the choreography for almost every song as each song has a different choreography.
BTS does what a lot of western bands don't do, and that is EVERY member has a part, singing or rapping, which is a smart move. As we go back to biases, BTS Army fans all have biases of all 7, so by having each member have their time to shine, it pleases all their fans, unlike other boy bands where the others were like backup to the main singer.

You guys are film makers I can't I can't tell if you have closed captions on in English or not. A filmmaker should know how to show close captions when edited downloaded on UA-cam. You've never mentioned anything about the deepness of their lyrics it's like you're not paying attention even if they are in English subtitles.
