Yes Missing Link Optimus Prime has rubber tires. Such a great figure!
An interesting trivia bit about G1 OP and most other G1 tractor trucks and trailer combos: while the real trucks they were based on of course used dually wheel set-ups on all intermediate and rear axles, the TF toys almost always simplified things by only using single wheels there too, just like on the front steering axles.
I looked this up to see if it were possible in real life too, and it is. It is possible to install double-wide tires instead of duallies. They're called super singles.
So in my head canon, TF tractor trucks use super single rears, now. 😎
I wonder if the Missing Link line will be an excuse to recast some of the lost molds. Like the G1 Dinobots.

Obviously there’s only certain ones they can give the Missing Link treatment to, ie: separated legs, no parts formers, no brick formers etc.

The 07 movie had rock'em sock'em like toys except a lot crazier because they needed to kick each other in the chest to completely dislodged the figure.

The Takara Tomy Transformers C-01 Missing Link Optimus Prime with Trailer is AWESOME!!!! The tires LOOK like rubber to me, but I have heard different reviewers have conflicting statements on the tires; some saying yes, while others say that they're "rubber like".

I initially passed on Missing Link Prime. However, after seeing these figures, I’ve decided to get them and try to get myself a Missing Link Prime too. I’m definitely going to see Transformers One. Not sure what to expect, but I will give it a shot…
I don't expect G1 to stick around forever or anything else that Sunbow brilliantly produced. I'm just hoping we all get another great run from creators in comics and media that grew up on thr franchise and LOVE IT to give it to us and have be more than mere "fan service". After that they can give us whatever. As long as the quality and thr love is there.
I don't know what I'll do if they do Grimlock.
I beyond ecstatic for owning Bee and Cliff, I want to see either Starscream next or Prowl because the former will lead to my favorite of the three original seekers Skywarp getting a Missing Link and the latter will do the same for Smokescreen.
I'd lose it completely if they do Prowl in this style. He was my favorite, and I lost my original in the 80s...

I got my cartoon accurate version of Missing Link Optimus he does have rubber tires still waiting on the one with the trailer
They should both do missing link Megatron, animated leader class Megatron and WFC video game Arcee.

Yes the missing link prime has rubber wheels and die cast in pretty much the same areas as the original but oddly a updated ion rifle.
My 1st g1 fig (going way back) was Skywarp back in 84'. PLEASE make me some Missing link seekers Takara/Tomy! And g1 Megs... is that even possible?
I’m in on these missing link figs. Diaclone Reboot made a modern rendition of Optimus Prime. Would be cool for them to keep that trend up with the other bots.

$40 is asking way too much for 3-inch-tall toy.
No amount of nostalgia would make me pay more than $20.
That’s what I tried to do with starting up Power Rangers related conversations with people who may not know what that is.

I have ML Optimus, Flagship Optimus and ordered Megatron. And even I think this price is way overboard. These two are going to unalive the interest in the missing link line. $40, for bumblebee? If you look at Optimus, it was already expensive, but justifiable to many. This is just..... dont know what they are thinking.

$40 might be okay, if it was both Bumblebee and Cliffjumper together. But no way and you know what, if it was just one. Especially if you consider that either one of these two original items back in 1984, started out at a dollar a piece, then 2 dollars then three dollars each. I know these prices for a certainty Because back then It was bouncing around between Tulsa Oklahoma Muskogee Oklahoma Oklahoma City Oklahoma
Considering what G1 Bumblebee is going for now, I'd say it's a fair price.
I was hoping for a $60 2-pack of the missing link Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. $40 is too much IMO.
Yeah, I don’t care how articulated they are, or what accessories they have, I’m not paying $40 for something the size of a mini bot!
I do want both of these but $40 a piece even all things considered is really pushing it for two tiny figures.
Cost of materials is the reason for the price.

I'll say Project Missing Link is looking very bright! I'm really impressed with Takara Tomy, because I never thought the original Diaclones would or could ever be upgraded with anymore Articulation without deviating their design. Well, I thought wrong, and I'm proud of them! Also "Transformers Rock'em Sock'em" sounds very tempting! Just imagine the original commercial from the 60s, ua-cam.com/video/GILWH0sQ0vE/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared or that scene from Toy Story 2, ua-cam.com/video/DhZsLdj26I0/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared but with a Autobot & Decepticon Skin! However, that would require Hasbro and Takara to have a word with Marx or whoever owns the rights the playset today.

A vintage G1 Bumblebee goes for $70 and up. It's less for the Missing Link with more articulation.
