- A cold start of my 1986 Dodge Truck after sitting for a week in cold rainy weather.
I plan on starting this channel back up with videos of my truck and WW2 German uniforms and gear reviews.
Man I got to tell you, starting up A 70s or 80s pickup is like waking up a sleeping monster
Yeah we definitely need more cold starts like this that was huge fight
Man, she starts rough! I have an '85 D100 with a slant six and she starts right away. Nice truck, though! These engines will run forever.
Great stuff.. I needed this! Really like the slow but steady cranking in the beginning.. The denim looks good on you too.. love the camera angle.. feel like I'm right there trying it with you! : D Pumped up here now, thanks to you!!
You have a great battery 😆
your engine is due for a serious tune up, I've had and maintained many slants and they always started at the first or second starter call.
Jacques Poirier Pretty sure it’s just a gummed up carb. I’ve upgraded to a 4x4 440 dodge. Expect a new video about it.
"Cmon bitch" 1:00 lol
I like this old truck!!♥️
Love those boots. Would love to see if you could get it started with no choke.
his boots are hot
Wow I ran across this video this is a good cold start
Love the truck! Try a cold start without choke
Wow almost killed the battery but it started great video
I Love this Video and your truck
We are pretty sneaky 😉
i love your Truck
Great video! I love the 70s and 80s Dodge trucks. Hope you'll make another cold start up video....maybe in a pair of your uniform boots..? ::))
Notice it actually says Dodge this is a Dodge truck
This was about the end of the slant 6 then they went to a 3.6 or 3.9 V6 if I recall correctly
Hey I like this video I subscribed to your channel keep up the good work and make more videos like this
Great video
Please make more!!!
A Chrysler 1945 carburetor can be replaced by a Ford 1946. The Ford carburetor has the choke on the top of the carburetor. The bodies are the same. They use the same kit. Hold the gas pedal down while cranking.
Hank Bridges That’s not how my carb works.
@@richmondproductions2914 Slant 6 used different carbs. A 1983 Dodge Ram 225 used a 1945 and could use a 1946. It had hydraulic lifters. I wonder if a truck slant 6 is interchangable with a car slant 6?
Great video bud and I like those boots!!!! Would love to see you do a driving / brake pumping video in the truck with those boots. I’m into both left foot and right foot brake pumping
You're pedal happy. Flooding the fuck out of it.
Sounds it says "Leave me aloooooooonnnnnnnneeeeeee............"
Oh man, I love that!
What the hell is wrong with you people. Just let the man start his truck in peace 😂
Funniest video ever LoL is like trying to sit in to a wild 🐎
Just bought an 82
Omg yes 😍😍
"Pudduh liff on et"
If you listen really close, you can hear the engine saying "I don't wanna!".
I love that sound!!
How long did it take to start in freezing cold weather with ice and snow and it hadn't been used for several days?
switch out your blower motor resistor so you can control the blower motor to actually get higher speeds. its cheap and easy
When you hadn't used it for a week would it usually take longer to start in really wet weather or was it more difficult in the freezing cold?
both, better since the carb rebuild
That truck is quadruple dog cursed to not want to start at all
Hold your dang foot to the FLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR!!
Are you gonna do more cold starts on this beast?
Maybe, I’m going to turn it into a little hot rod slant six truck. I have other 1st gen dodges with v8s so I can afford to play with this one.
@@richmondproductions2914 sweet cant wait
Skoal berry
Uh oh she don't wanna start let her rest
You still have this truck?
Me gusta la camioneta
So being the year 2022 and I never actually owned a carbureted engine and this truck is the same age as me working on a farm. We use ether when the tractors are cold and they start up with very little issue. Would there be no benefit to popping one owned a vehicle like this and in a cold day. Just giving in a quick shot at ether to get it going and would that keep it going and get the fuel moving? Assuming that there's no actual problems with the vehicle, it's just cold.
the choke kept popping open and it needed a carb rebuild at that time
mmmmmmm
Give it a good shot of ether
Why does this have a manual choke? With no disrespect to anyone, but if one kept their vehicle (including the carburetor) serviced, it would start on the first attempt. It looks like you flooded it; I’d get that carburetor addressed. With no disrespect to anyone, a car will let any wise guy operate it or work on it…
try a new fuel pump first !!
Make it start. Boots on the pedal and swearing
How many miles are on it? I've got an 81 with the ol slant with 147 on it
Luke Arndor The odometer reads about 30k, the previous owner says it has 300k. Must have rolled over.
🤠👌👍
Shoes size?
Curse it and jinx it to never want to start
Jeeeesus.. it hurts me to watch someone crank and crank
😢
I dont wana go to school no no no
hi. why do you have a german flag as a profile picture?
Fendt Farmer Because I love the Fatherland. I am a nationalist.
my Fatherland is Germany
@@richmondproductions2914 you live in Richmond Virginia?
Dump gas in the carburetor or give it a bunch of ether that truck is cursed and jinxed and quadruple hexed to not want to start at all every time you try to start it
That's not nice to say the NR word.
Jareth Rock NR word?
