At the beginning, I was thinking you could use the 1.8 dash and mount the PMU in the area where the passenger airbag was, but towards the end you found a location. I like the 1.6 dash style-wise though. Great job with the wiring and planning ahead with all the disconnects.

Make sure to put some kind of rubber behind the PMU on the dash. You dont want a $1400 electrical component rattling against the sheet metal.
Would you recommend this setup over a traditional homebrew relay panel with the price of both in mind? (~$2000 vs ~$100) I personally like how compact it is, and how clean it is, but the price is way up there for any given benefit other than cleanliness of build from an outside perspective.

When crimping the AMP superseal connectors, be careful not to bend the two little tabs on the pins. With these bent, the pins would not stay fixed securely and could be shoved back when connecting.
Am considering doing a custom engine harness myself so bought some of those heat shrink solder joiner thingys you mentioned in another video. They are the jam!

Can you please go into depth whilst wiring this car? Would be very interested to see how this is done and how the pmu is wired. Currently puttting an rb in my e36 coupe and feeling intimidated by the wiring as I’ve never done that side of things before.
taylor yyou could have used the air bag hole for all the stuff you dont know where to mount build a little box in it and mount the pmu and other stuff you need to mount

Not to put a damper on using the NA dash.... but if you use the 1.8 or the NB dash... you could put the pmu in the airbag compartment :)
That was my original plan but I decided to do the 1.6 dash.
Taylor Ray the 1.6 dash would fit the purity of the build better! I think it is the better choice for sure
Big Props to you +Taylor Ray for choosing not to drink alcohol.....I too dont drink and think I get a lot more stuff done etc....I hate how alcohol is made to look like a fun lifestyle and fun but in reality it makes people "evil" and then they make the decision to drive and cause accidents or die!....Just awful stuff.
