I love how people can walk in and can say hi to you while you are sitting on the toilet.
I believe there is a lock on the door. Can't think of any tear/square top that has a bathroom to walk into.
Ya this is definitely the trailer for me. Upgrade the ac, throw an ikamper 3.0 tent on the roof and it’s perfect. I just gotta keep saving my pennies until I have enough. HAAAAAA i just noticed the shout out to me at the end!

I know you need to do the "adventure" videos, but we really appreciate the value of these nuts and bolts videos. The smaller two wheel trailers which make up the bulk of your portfolio are not suitable for us as fulltime travelers with two adults and two retriever dogs to fill the space, but these videos are still really useful. Having had the chance to crawl over/around/under all of your two wheel trailers, the RKS is the superior product from a manufacturing and design standpoint. The only caveat would be the Timbren suspension, which is a good product that has some wheel alignment challenges, and that huge 270 awning. It would be fun to see a video about how that awning performs in the 25-45 MPH winds that are common in the desert southwest.🙂 It was good to hear about an upcoming RKS Motive video. We have really high hopes for a tricked out Motive (or the mythical Roamer) as a future home!
Well said as usual Susan. To be brutally frank that 270 awining is decent for the price but a bit of a knock off and there are others like the ostrich 270 that are more in line with RKS usual build specs.
The fit and finish on the RKS is so clean!

Just gotta get the AC upgrade and then this trailer is basically perfect. Tiny package with big possibilities.
Loved this until the walk though got to the kitchen and the interior. Victron Yes! 270 degree awning Yes! The wrap on the exterior Yes. Entry into the bath No. Burners not covered by the awning No. Low head space No. Love the anodized and powder coated aluminum accents. This trailer is so close on being a new best seller but falls short on some very key areas
There's alot of talk about taking on ideas from marine products and incorporating them into the trailers,
But in my opinion.....
This thing looks more like an escape pod from a space ship! 🚀

Not a bad trailer. Shawn, I did not see you repack the awning away in 2 minutes. It looks like a good awning. if you are not tall enough to reach the awning front he ground it is very aquand to repack. I take exception, most men I know would be happy to sleep in a ground based tent. The trailer with an inside toilet is for the wife. Men who want to keep their better half happy will purchase a trailer that makes her happy. I am surprised it only has a 15 amp shore power. A 30 amp shore power would make energy upgrades easier. It appears to be a 3 season trailer for the Mohave not the high desert were I live.
Shane I have a question for ROA,(& I have a bet involved), what is your customer returns percentage?
I am having a problem wording my question, sorry, we are in discussions about the different manufacturers, and what percentage of customers satisfaction, & how are they when something just goes wrong, which we know happens.
While we are on this subject, as a customer I deal with the dealer, or, do I deal with the manufacturers, when something goes wrong?
So is it possible to put 4 of those batteries in there? I actually want 6 but that’s a lot of weight.
yeah that would be easy.
One downside to this trailer is storage. I don’t see much storage for clothes at all.
Don't like having to crawl through the restroom/shower to go to bed.
Just open the door and you get the picture of your life and the babies escape tunnel and the fart fan will cover the noise of the most loudest fart other than that good product
Great video but Shane wasn't helpful. He was asking irrelevant questions and jumping all over the place. You can tell Josh was getting a bit annoyed by the questions at 20:03.
I like RKS. They are off to a good start. I do not like the short ceiling of the Purpose. That would make me feel claustrophobic. RKS should have designed it as a pop-up trailer. It looks like it is built with quality. How well insulated are the RKS trailers (Motive & Purpose)? Are they considered to be four-season trailers? I do not see that Motive and Purpose have an a/c. I like the innovative designs. I like the bathroom. I like the rail systems. I love the awning. I like the electrical system. I think I would prefer the Motive. No one talked about the floor. Is it composite or wood? I would prefer a four-season trailer with an indoor kitchen. I do not see much storage on either Purpose or Motive. That makes these trailers for weekend use only.
I disagree on weekends only especially with the Motive. It is an off road toyhauler-ish rig so that does make it hard to have the garage for hauling toys and lots of cheesy cabinets.
@@bartman1857If I had to choose, I would take the Motive toy hauler over the Purpose, the claustrophobic box. It looks like there would be more height in a teardrop than the Purpose. If the trailers are not well insulated, the Purpose would be a hot coffin. Both trailers have no storage. That is a minus for me. But I do like what appears to be a quality build and unique design features.
@@JeffreyHallin ya the purpose is a square/tear drop so that's means it's sitting room only. I suppose a tear drop may have I bit more headroom while sitting on your bed or coach but not much more. Most rigs in this class have limited storage.
so I believe rks uses 1.5 inch fiberglass honeycomb frp type panels in walls, ceiling and floor. No wood to my knowledge. Also very well insulated windows. Add the winter package with all sealed plumbing and tanks and both of these models are very well insulated. Maybe not a 40 below zero fish house but as good as mosr off road trailers.

please stop saying you can tow this rig with a jeep!!!! unless you clarify said jeep as a gladiator with a 7,000 lb towing capacity
The manufacturer literally has a video of one being towed with a Rubicon.
@@freighter1097I know crazy huh. They use to show thier Purpose trailer being pulled by a Wrangler
@@freighter1097 duh a Rubicon is a Wrangler my mistake. I am baffled to what RKS was thinking. Purpose is 3k dry 5k + gwr. Now way a Rubicon Wrangler at 3,500k towing capacity could handle a Purpose with any cargo or water in it. My guess you won't see any current pics of the Wrangler towing a Purpose.
