Tim Dwight was a hell of a dynamic football player in the NFL for 10 years. The only issue "White Lighting" had is that he would miss significant time due to injury as the only time he played a full 16 games was in 2005 with the Pats but when he was on that field, he was a difference maker.
iowa needs to invent a time machine, get tim dwight from the past, and put him in our team again. dude just did it all. and people were scared to give the guy the ball.
dwight isnt in the college football hall of fame yet. that shocks me because he may have been the best special teams player in decades, he threw touchdowns, he caught touchdowns, he ran touchdowns, he returned for touchdowns, he could hit too. the guy was in the running for heisman for pities sake. put him in the college football hall of fame.
@clm6510 Bwight played at Iowa from 94-97. Eddie George, Danny Wuerfel, and Charles Woodson won it during Dwight's time, but I know he got some votes his senior year.
Tim didn’t want to play possession receiver because he wasn’t quick enough to avoid “Kennedy hits” or Ali’s rabbit punches that go to the back of the head usually after the whistle or catch. Usually reserved for those who proved themselves after two years. Having a good teammate like a TE, WR or back helps. His problem back of the knees off running plays.
More than anything, he's extremely explosive (which doesn't always mean out right speed). The 40 he was timed (only once) was a 4.6. But apparently, and correct me if I'm wrong, he ran four 40s in a row all under 4.5 seconds. That's pretty insane. If I was to run four in a row, the times would be 4.7, 5.0, 5.5, and 6 seconds, haha. All slow.
DanPrinMan He also ran a legal 10.51 in the 100 meters & a 10.41 windaided which is very fast. I mean he won't win an Olympics with those times but he was almost always the fastest guy on the football field with those time.
wesleyt105 This is not true at all. Tim was explosive more than incredibly fast, which translates better in football. His best time in the 100 meters was a 10.51 legal wind & a 10.41 windaided & a 4.63 40. Very fast for football but not the fastest, not even in the 90s. and as for worlds fastest "white man" is everyone forgetting about Allen Wells?Valerie Borzov? Armin Hary?10.00 flat 100m exactly 50 yrs ago.Darel Newman 10.03 100m and 5.9(yes 5.9)in the 60 yd dash back in the mid 60's and right now Lemaitre of France who's run under 10.00 ?
john p You are absolutely correct! In fact, Armin Hary of Germany would have ran about 9.6-7 on today's track's, with today's technology, training and shoes! He ran a 10.00 dead on a gravel cinder track! I believe he ran this time 2 or 3 times. Don't quote me on that last part.
Justin Legette You obviously don't know your track history. Google Armin Hary of Germany. He ran a 10.00 flat in the 100 meters almost 70 years ago on a cinder track. With today's technology and track's with the advancement in footwear & training, Armin would more than likely ran about a 9.6 - 9.7 seconds in the 100 meters. And there are soooooo many more white men that ran extremely fast! I'll leave you with this, "White man can't jump, they don't have to, they own the team!" - Comedian, Paul Mooney
wesley105: not many guys in the 90's faster than Dwight? D,Green, R.Brown, J.Jett, W.Gault, J.Trapp,Micheal Haynes, S.Graddy,Micheal Bates, A.Whitted all these guys ran under 10.2 100m Dwights best was 10.31. he was fast but quite a few guys faster.
Joe Paterno was like "Damn, I wish he was on my team."

What a Badass ⚡️!!!
I ran against Dwight in high school. The man was UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE!!!!!
He came to my school and talked to our football team. one word. FAST
One of the greatest skill positions to ever play the game
Never be another returner ever like him..
iowa needs to invent a time machine, get tim dwight from the past, and put him in our team again. dude just did it all. and people were scared to give the guy the ball.
Still aren't that many who can run like he did!
dwight finished 7th in the heisman trophy race his senior year. and idc wat ppl say he should have one.

His first game in Iowa City he ran the water out to the defense during a time out when nobody else was doing it.

there are no dislikes. Does that show you anything?

@acajun25 LA not IA, close enough, truly one of the greatest
No Falcons clips
anyone else notice at 4:52 the incredible, unnecessary block about 10 yards back from Tim Dwight lol
That depends on how you define "fastest." Tavian Banks was faster than Dwight in the 40 with a 4.29 Banks was from Bettendorf.
The fastest white dude? man he was one of the fastest PERIOD! there arent many guys in the 90s who were faster than Dwight

BreuckelensFinest not incredibly fast 😂😂😂 go watch him make the block for LT in the chargers vs patriots game and tell he wasn’t incredibly fast
I always seemed that Hayden barely used Dwight. Too popular I guess.

@use2slam2 ok wow he has like 9 guys faster them in the 90's , that is a big difference , lol
I just wanna go for a run now...Tim Dwight giving white people hope since 1994

under 10.2 100m Dwights best was 10.31. he was fast but quite a few guys faster.
john p In my research, his best legal time was 10.51 & 10.41 windaided. This is still extremely fast for football.
