As a survivor of the tech bubble, I don't think the worst of this will arrive until all those companies who sustained on borrowing and cash piles from their IPO or angel investors burn through it and start going bankrupt. The one thing many channels don't talk about is the amount of money both in debt and investment held in ownership of bad companies that burn through cash with no profitability in site. When these companies started going bankrupt it was the contagion that took over the market and I haven't seen that occur yet. This market is mostly falling because of tax loss harvesting and the coming of tapering and rising interest rates which will accelerate the process of destroying companies that can't survive. If those companies start going bankrupt en masse causing the loss of capital invested and loaned to these companies as well as job losses and the like, then we'll see a real drop. As I'm not sure how long that will be, it is smart sift for companies reasonably valued who are self-sustaining or close to self-sustaining as those will be the safest small cap when the companies start going bankrupt that burnt through their cash and can't find more. And Matt's channel actually talks about cash burn and the coming bankruptcies. Nice.
Oct dip was a huge bull traps for growth stocks. But again & again Apple + Msft was on a bull run since Oct dip. I'm pretty much done with growth stocks. Lucky i sold most of my stocks in July 7. I wished i should got back into MAGA.. sigh
