After weeks of this album being out, I've come here only to update that WDIG is literally in my top 3 songs I've been religiously listening to :) I just had to let you guys know. I love it so much hehe
Fun fact they use dolby atmos technology for mixing. It's mainly used to produce music for blockbuster movies, rarely used in pop music bc it's way more expensive. This whole album is not meant to please wave-loving-general-population. This is not even for the fans. This album is totally dedicated to their LORE AND THEME. I love the fact that they don't care about pleasing people and go all out to produce music that's more fitting to their growth as artists. For me too, I found myself lost for every track in the first listen. It sounds like different movie scenes mashed into one. But after a couple more listen, while reading the lyrics and with a proper headset to support the dolby atmos feature, I was MINDBLOWN. This album is a masterpiece really. An art, a story, a statement.
Cyberpunk got that powerful force that makes you wanna vibe and feel the music really deeper than we thought. Really love this so much alongside with Guerrilla ofc.
If this isn't album of the year then IDK what happened but this album is just incredible. There is literally not a single song that I would skip when I listen to this album on repeat
The second part of New World chorus reminds me of the theme song of Mask of Zorro. The I Wanna Spend My Lifetime Loving You part.❤ ATEEZ's music feels so fitting for something grand or epic like plays or operas. Thanks for the stories as always, Anne! ❤
This album totally feels like Halateez story. Heroic and angsty, omg i need Halateez fanfiction. Its how they feel about their world, what they see everyday, why and for what they fighting. KQ, HALATEEZ BOOK AND MOVIE WHEN???
You comparing Guerrilla to Papercut was such a cool connection. Like I totally agree but would probably have never connected those two songs together but it's kind of perfect!? Papercut is one of my favorite Linkin Park songs so it makes sense why I'm completely obsessed with Guerrilla! This was such a great video. I truly believe Ateez have absolutely no bad songs and I felt you so much when you said it's saying a lot that you like every single title track from them bc I feel the same way! I'm kind of picky as I've been into kpop since around 2012 and I've rarely found groups/artists where I like almost everything they put out. And then I found Ateez. I have loved literally Everything that they've given us. They are truly something else. So glad you enjoyed the album!
No, I definitely know what you mean! All the song arrangements and beats surprised me (in a good way) and it took some time for me to get used to the flow. But it really makes listening unique and new every time. And it definitely fits this album because of their narrative for it. Since the story is dystopian anarchy it makes sense for the album to sound so futuristic, complexed in beats that are almost fighting but also coexist together - but it takes some time to discover and accept them all. It really fits! And I think that this album is their most cohesive in style, all the songs feel like they are from this album. I love songs like this and I am so happy that we got it! Their sound is ATEEZ but they are always experimenting and evolving! So proud to be ATINY ❤️❤️❤️
