- I recorded this as a labour of love. Took me two days and was made entirely in Reason 4.0. I've always loved the soundtrack for this movie when I was a kid and this in particular was my favourite. There are no vocals (I'd never do them justice), but the lead sections are played on piano. The song ended up being an extra 2 minutes longer than the original song (which was a little over 6 minutes in length). But I hope you enjoy it anyway.

Thank you so much for making this. My parents wrote this song, and the singer in this song is my mother. I sang this song at her funeral two years ago but never got it recorded. I was thinking of recording a new version using GarageBand (I have a studio quality mic at home)... do you want to work on it together remotely? If we can talk a bit about what should go into the track, I'll lay the vocal and we can UA-cam it.

I am so sorry for your lost! I watched the Care Bears as a kid & I remember this song. I play this at least twice a day & it bring tears to my eyes! It reminds me of my childhood so much. I miss it dearly. Your mom wrote & sang an incredible song. May God bless you, her & your whole family!

Tenderheart would also be voiced by Rick Jones and Jim Henshaw in the 80s era.
Henshaw also voice Bright Heart before Richards.

Masterful. This video was way harder to rent than the first instalment when I was a kid. It had to be booked right up until the early 90s.

Complete aside, I think the two original Care Bear animated features could be combined to make one, longer feature and correct the continuity errors.
You start with the opening of the second movie, but would need to mask out the cousins' belly-symbols. After the Growing Up song, we skip forward to when True Heart and Noble Heart run off chasing Dark Heart. The regular Care Bears go on the adventure from the first movie, give the cousin's their heart symbols at the ceremony and then cut back to the second movie where there is a similar banquet scene, and follow the rest of the second movie.
Some elements would probably need to be cut and shifted around in order to keep plot interest in the second movie, so maybe cutting to True Heart and Noble Heart fighting Dark Heart at a slower moment in the original movie.
It's an idea I've had for a long time. Masking/editing could also be used to clean up some of the coloration inconsistencies and mistakes in the second movie.

Hi, Nostalgiachick1. We are going to put something together. Things are a bit busy at the moment for myself with other projects, but once that's out of the way it'll happen.
I apologize about the long span of time since we mentioned this project. I've been swamped with a game soundtrack project and haven't had time to even think about it. However, my part in the project will be done in about a month and I can finally stary focusing on this.

We did not, sadly. Real life things just got in the way I guess. Thanks for listening though! Glad you enjoyed it. However a fellow fan did approach me and did a version herself with a children's choir. It's linked in the description.

The vocal outro ties the song together. It sounds better musically, but suffers greatly as a result.

@@BrandonBlume Yeah I tried looking into it a while back and one of the companies that owned the rights doesn't exist anymore. I noticed Carol Park's daughter commented on here, but I doubt they'll answer me that comment is over a decade old.
This movie is 4 decades old almost and I notice people can just upload the soundtrack with no repercussion on UA-cam, so I can't imagine the song is being highly protected by copyright.
My cover has certainly never been claimed so I don't know. But yeah. Someone probably owns it but doesn't know they own it type of thing.
