  • I have been using Color.io for my film emulation workflow for over 6 months now and I absolutely love it. Colours are spot on and there is zero lag when using the application. There are so many different film emulations built in color.io.

Do you think the film industry uses this for Hollywood films or they just grade from scratch.

Absolutely, most of the times they will use a real film camera tho.

Nope, they use to hire color scientists to develop luts and tools for them

@@VicerFxtrue, but this tool is going to help a lot of people understand the look Dev phase. I still like doing it in resolve with a color chart. Definitely gonna test this out

When I export the lut with halation and grain added, it doesn't get applied to the lut for some reason. Why is that? Also, I tried exporting the video with them on, and it doesnt export the video at all.

LUTs can only encode color transforms. Halation, Grain and other effects can not be shared across applications with LUTs but have to be implemented directly by an application.
What browser are you trying to export the video from? It's still an experimental feature but should work in Google Chrome on desktop devices.

@Colorio Yea I figured. I use Google Chrome I believe but I'll double check.
