Growing up my mom had one of those Hallmark light up candles. I always loved it and looked forward to putting it out every year when we decorated. Now that I am grown with a house of my own to decorate she gifted it to me a year ago. it is one of my most prized Halloween possessions. Thank you for sharing all your spooky finds! At 73, so many of the paper mache looking cats and pumpkins remind me of growing up in the 50s . My favorite was your black cat cup and saucer, the needlework pillow and your gorgoeus painting! It so nice to see the enjoyment you get from these collections.

I always start the Hallowe'en season on August 16th - the anniversary of the death of Bela Lugosi. I celebrate the amuse bouche on Vincent Price's birthday on Memorial Day weekend.
We have a beautiful large fiber optic pumpkin that we bought in Salem Mass in the early 2000’s. My favorite decoration. Has special meaning because my “late” husband picked it out. We went to Salem the weekend before Halloween with our boys. Best family trip we ever went on.

I love the Goosebumps series. I have all 62 books, the majority of them I bought when they were brand new and kept them all these years. I found my missing ones at thrift stores in good shape for 50 cents each. I am hoping my daughter will read them someday. Just found your channel and love your decorating and your house.

Yes, the JP items have been hard to find this year. I wonder if more people are searching for it & maybe the stores are getting picked over quicker than before. The piece I found was at a TJ so I wonder if TJ/Marshalls stores are less picked over as they are thought of more for their clothing than their decorations as HomeGoods is just decor. That's fun! I didn't have any of my original books but I used to have a pretty large collection when I was a kid. Got a huge box of them at a garage sale, and after that, whenever our school had "free book day" where you could pick out one new book - I always looked for Goosebumps! :) Your books being worn from reading them so many times is a fun character for them to have! :)
Went to dollar tree saw the tree you mentioned and they had a set of two gift bags with the original jack o lantern face that I thought could be frame and matted and could have that vintage look from back in the day
