I’ve just tried a pair of these VS a single Pro 16… I bought the Pair of Pro 8s, actually finding the bass a punchier than the Pro 16. The Pro 16 is a power house with LOTS of bass, but it seems a little muddy compared to the Pro 8… and having that stereo sound stage from a pair is a massive advantage with pre-recorded stereo tracks.
Sounds like a great option for those interested in the stick approach. I've used a Bose L1 often in the past - I think they sound good for a singer/acoustic guitar player. This is $1,200 in American cash money dollars. Reasonable for what you get, IMHO. For those using backing tracks, a pair of EV ZLX 12 powered speakers on stands with a small mixer is a better sounding rig for around the same money, but those powered speakers aren't exactly light. Bose keeps making their L1 better and better, which is a great thing. Great video!

I’m happy to lug my heavy-ass JBL’s around. Nothing just looks less rock than those weird stick speakers. Speakers are a visual component to music I think. A Marshall stack makes you feel/expect/anticipate something. But to each her own.

Hi it sounds lovely. Very much interested in this Amp Bose pro8. I will be looking into it in not so distant future. Thanks for video inspiring with your style of play.
You have a beautiful acoustic guitar, yet to me it sounds synthetic hooked up on a cable, not acoustic at all! Why don't you use a phantom powered quality condenser microphone in this demo? Because of possible feedback issues when the unit is positioned behind you with a cranked up volume?
let's say, for example, I had a choice between an AER 60 and this, what are the differences in terms of sound output, quality etc? I am at that fork in the road right now.
1. can I connect two L1 8 pro units via Bluetooth? to make it two units playing at the same time 2. if I can connect it that way, can I only use the 1 unit for plugin guitar and sound to another half? . thanks

Hi Gee Gee Have a listen to this recent demo: ua-cam.com/video/jF-UQeiF0-c/v-deo.html Sounds great to me... but I'm a pianist/keyboardist and a sound engineer - not a guitarist! What do you think?
I agree: the guitar does NOT sound good! The Martin D-28 guitar (wich is quality guitar) & Bose L1 Pro8 should've been tested a c o u s t i c a l l y : With a phantom powered Neumamm KM184 condenser microphone!
I knew the great BOSE era, the 802, the made in the USA, really fabulous and legendary. Here it breathes, it stinks of made in china. Research done, BOSE does not have a factory in China, it is all under contract and much too expensive compared to the cost of labor. In addition sound side ... it is not JBL (the brand of musicians for more than 50 years) brand at the origin of this bass cabinet + column configuration, a concept copied by everyone lacking creativity. The JBL EON ONE / PRO is the benchmark. All the components of very high quality are manufactured by JBL including exceptional speakers which allow a perfect power handling during very long hours. Parameters very often forgotten in the test.
I've used JBL and I keep going back to Bose for portable systems with clarity. I toured with the previous L1 series and it never let me down. Not knocking JBL, but they're completely different approaches to sound amplification and dispersion.
I will never own a smartphone or anything like it...(especially these days) so I really don't like that function, utterly useless to me. Will we ever get to perform anywhere again anyways?
So glad someone else thinks this sounds as horrible as I do. Maybe it’s just the pickup but this sounds like an acoustic plugged into an electric guitar amp. Tinny, shrill, and irritating. Just a dreadful sound. Yes piezos quack, but they can still sound way better than this. I think it’s the Bose.

I would buy an album by the staff at anderton's. I think they have, collectively, and incredible range of talent working for them and with them.

Bought one. Its great. It needs a master slider, at least in the app
If Ben recorded an album just of him noodling for an hour, I’d definitely buy it.
poidas, check out smith and brewer website!
Omg I had no idea! Thank you.
When you said it is cheaper, and louder better than the previous version, WHICH model are you referring to ???
Great jam, Ben.
Thanks for another quality episode of acoustic paradiso.
Thanks for tuning in JRod 🤘

Wow what a sound.Think my decision is made and a bose L1 pro 8 is on its way

such a pleasant and warm sound of the guitar

I bought one of these from you. So so good. I’m about to test whether I can plug my wireless mic into the back…? Is this going to be too loud?

Playing in small space for only few friends and family. I need speaker for vocal and acoustic guitar using mic not pickup, any advice? Thanks
Could this take a guitar, a vocal and a stomp box?
Any speaker would sound great with you playing mate. Just freggin awesome! Bose should pay you.
having trouble choosing between a column array system or Acoustic amp, particularly the BOSS acoustic singer. Thoughts?
Hi Ben, thanks for the demo.. how would you rate this against the RCF Evox Jmix8 for an acoustic/singer setup?
Can you plug 2 mics and a guitar directly into this unit? In other words, can you plug a guitar into the 3 channel on this system?
Yes
1. can I connect two L1 8 pro units via Bluetooth? to make it two units playing at the same time
2. if I can connect it that way, can I only use the 1 unit for plugin guitar and sound to another half? . thanks
Do you need the app to get the tone matcher, or can you punch it in directly on the mixer?
Piezo’s gonna piezo
Would you please test it in DJ settings and bass performance?
OMG that d28 sounds awesome ,
No, it does not! It would sound much better when using a condenser microphone! This test doesn't demonstrate it.
Haha what? Sounds like it has a $20 pickup in it.
Today is the release date for the 2020 epiphone prophecy series. When are you guys gonna get some and demo them?

Would one be enough for outdoor parties of 40-60 people?
for acoustic guitar and vocals, or for DJ setup? If guitar and vocals, the answer is absolutely. If for DJ setup, I have no idea!
Some singing would be nice to hear .....singers are also interested to listen how it goes....
make a video on the new Adam Jones Gibson Custom Shop!!!
Is it battery operated?
No
Tell me pro 8 audience coverage
I think 75 to 120 people depending if only talking and eating 150
But dancing and drinking only 70🤠
But dispersion is a plus
Absolutely horrendous acoustic tones. Not sure if the demo is meant to portray that
Agree. Quacky piezo tone. Doesn’t really sell the product.
It’s the guitar. You need to grab a Maton or cole Clark to demonstrate.
