I literally watched this entire film with tears flowing down my face. Such an emotional roller coaster. I was born 3 years after the war. Had relatives who fought in the war and yet my parents who came from Russian parents and were first generation Americans never spoke of the horrors. I honestly, till this very day do not know how anyone can bottle it all up inside their minds.

Those steps explain to me why so many Jewish emigrees that i encountered here in Los Angeles and elsewhere survived, rebuilt what they could of their lives in this new environment. You had to have hope for a future as well as endurance to survive those conditions and environment. They may have suffered traumas they never let be public but they still possessed hope and endurance. I've seen all the Holocaust stuff since the 60s when people thought little of it, as if it never happened. This is a wonderful addition. Nicole gave her wonderful voice to the story.

We should never forget what happened during the war years and even before when Adolf Hitler came to power. There are not many survivors left now and as long as those that deny the Holocaust say it did not happen, these films are all that is left. I’ve watched many accounts of those in charge of these camps and many escaped justice, even if they were charged and jailed by the allies, their sentences were commuted and they were able to live their lives freely. We can never forget. We MUST NOT FORGET!

A remarkable man, I met him in 1977 at a conference he gave at McGill University in Montreal, Canadá.
An example for humanity and the jewish people, he brought the Nazis war criminals to justice, never favored or approved wild murders of Nazis by his own people.
At the conference more than 50 survivors of the holocaust identified Nazis commandants of several Concentración Camps, he took note and brought most of them to justice in a short period of time.
So different from war criminal Netanyahu, Sharon, Begin, Rabin and Shamir terrible terrorists.
I was honored by having met and spoken to him, he shared with me his visión of justice. I will never forget him.

I had neighbors who were great friends that survived the camps. I cant forget the day one wonan called me into her room because she couldnt get up. She apoligized but she said, her body was racked with pain. She was a teenager when she was held in Auschwitz. She showed me her tattoos. She had been so starved in the camp, that when she became older, she had this extreme pain from the damage done to her body then. Haunted by her experience.
I think she said she was 14 when she was freed by the troops. I know she lost family members.
As sad as it was to see and hear, I treasure the memory.
    Right now, with a tear.
Where is Simon now when we need him!? How easy it is to forget where charismatic hate can lead!
The devil can live in all of us if we stop and listen to him.
The devil can somehow make brutality make sense!

And yet I hear so many holocaust survivors and descendants of survivors saying how they are against Israel and Zionism. So please spare us all of your DISHONESTY & LIES about the "mass murder" of innocent people, who BTW in recent polls overwhelming SUPPORT HAMAS in the BARBARIC actions they have perpetrated on the Israeli people. I have known this family for 41 years Germans I used to be so scared of them yet we became besties
2 years ago the mother who now over 80
Sit down and told me German stories a subject we never touched
I was shocked but all my fears where real
    What see spoke of
I meet her father very nice German man I still have his picture me the family my son
She spoke of her parents and how her father was one of the few who tried to save Jews because they were people to he didn't know why they were marching when he crossed the street to help this old grandmother gave her water his superior officer to him he would kill him if he even try this again
Why did my friend's mother have to tell me this her father had died years ago
Why did she feel she had to confess to a Jew
My fear of their passed was confirmed I will not say the rest of the conversation that took 3 hours
    The hate of the Nazi
I am confused Nazi family who helped me for 40 years
They are my German family in my heart they hide the truth like a criminal repented and turned new leaf
I do not regret having knowing them all these years

Cruel to talk about "starute of limitations"many generations later suffering has no limitationsBuchenwald is where Mayr was sent .i wish there were memorials not stolpersteine on ground to remember respect put flowers greive .Liebeschutz was sent to Dachau and many many more camps not named another Liebeschutz Greonwald sent else where one person escaped i know nothing hard to repent ..I dont agree with statute of limitations we need to knowno time limit because then people will stall and stall and stall until tome limits are met ,like with holding medical records from patient over 3 years by which time ots too late only to find a heap fabricated information in them..

Justice! For the evil perpetrated by the nazi’s. Justice for all those needlessly tortured, murdered and
for the survivors who made it through.
