Al been super busy, as usual. After he won another Grammy for his 14th album, he dropped a bunch of singles, did a bunch of cameos and lots of voice acting.
He wrote and produced a movie and has toured the world numerous times.
Al is everywhere all of the time.
Weird al usually had a cover medley in the style of polka on almost each album. So it's a different format than his parodies.

yeah, his polka songs are always compilations of lyrics from recent hit songs, set to polka music.
I've been a Weird Al fan since we were kids, and I've seen him in concert 2-3 times. One of the times I saw him was in 1999, his opening act was a Comedian who later blew up and I could tell watching his set that the comic was going to be a huge deal one day. That comic was none other that Gabriel Iglesias.
He's had a couple points which he's popped off over the decades. His biggest parody song was actually of Ridin' Dirty, as "White & Nerdy".
As streaming and UA-cam took off a bit over a decade ago, he decided he was going to do less LP type albums, since it's often a longer wait to have enough songs that get big enough to be recognized in parody form; so with streaming he can release a song or a few songs, or these polka covers on a bit more of a regular basis.
He has some great original songs too. If you haven't heard it, "Hardware Store" is a gem! I do recommend checking that one out on reaction if you're unfamiliar.
That's the song that I always suggest. My own personal favorite is Bob.
On each of his albums, half of the songs are originals, and the other half are parodies, with one of them being a polka medley.

The most recent music he's released was related to the movie that he made with Daniel Radcliffe in 2022. These polka medley's he's been doing since 1984. 40 years.

fun fact, al's 1988 album Even Worse does not have a polka on it, but everything else does.

Al's last studio album was Mandatory Fun in 2014. He's been primarily concerned with touring and VO work for animation since then, but he did release The Hamilton Polka (a polka medley like this song) back during Hamilton's original run. In '22 Al released a fictionalized biopic called Weird: The Alfred Yankovic Story (staring Daniel Radcliff as Al) which included numerous re-recordings of his past songs and one original song, Now You Know. When I call Mandatory Fun Al's LAST studio album, I mean it's his LAST. He's no longer contractually obligated to release albums and he never really liked that format, so now he's just going to release songs as they come to him.
Fun fact the Vampire section was animated by the Vivziepop (Helluvaboss & Hazbin Hotel)
Al did a collaboration with Schmoyoho a couple of weeks back regarding the presidential debate. It's called "Deja Vu (But Worse)".

The Uptown Funk animator actually made a fan animation Of Weird als Song called "Albuquerque" And "All you know is a lie" "im pretty sure was the name" so yeah.

He does one every album based on the songs that were popular around that time. The polka melody is usually the same (which is what impresses me,) but the songs change. You should definitely check some of them out.
