Saw the tshirt and thought - have I found a demo guy that does not play boring solos and barren riffs? I finally did. And what a relief that was I must tell you. Not so many people here with the playing style that I like, so thanks a lot for the review :D I'll definitely subscribe and see your other videos
Thanks buddy, I really appreciate your comments. I get a few negative comments from the blues and strats guys but UA-cam is full of that shit already and sure doesn’t need anymore. 👊
I agree with you on this guitar. Love hate is accurate. This guitar was kinda given to me, I’m normally a strat tele guy, however I want to incorporate this sound in the bands material. Intonation was a pain, I finally had a pro do it, and they did an ok job. I want the tremolo! And it stays in tune quite well. Today I changed my strings to 11 gauge and I’m not sure why other than I read online to try them. Still stays in tune, I will have to re intonate just a tad, I can do it this time. I dislike the Pau Ferro fret board. Nothing like Rose wood!!! Oh how I love Rosewood !! As for frets no issues I got lucky. I played a squire jag and was really impressed. It this player series doesn’t start to fit in, I’m going to just send it down the road and get the squire. My pick ups are fine, no crazy jump in volume. I agree though, if someone is paying purchase price for this circus freak , it needs to put together correctly. The climate for new guitars today is, you buy one, then you have it intonated. I suspect that coming from the factory they cross several climate zones, thrown around in a truck or in a plane and the wood hasn’t figured out what climate to acclimate to. Great accurate truthful review! I shall see how 11s work, I’ll update soon!
pablo9364 it’s probably poor quality control, maybe some slipped through without proper assessment. I’ve heard so many mixed reports on this guitar! I guess the answer is try before you buy in this case 👍🏻 Glad you got a good one 👌
I too got one that's really great. No issues at all, pulled it off the wall at the music store and it was fantastic. The Player Strat they had was also excellent. I wonder what the percentage of bad QC to good guitars is. Definitely agree with try before buy, or at least buy with a good return policy available.
I had a player series strat, hss plus top. Don’t recall the frets having bad ends but they were not level. I put more relief in the neck and raised the saddles fairly high, higher action than I would prefer and had a lot of random frets buzzing from 12th fret and higher. Ended up getting rid of it for a good deal on a USA G&L Legacy and this one feels so much better. Also not a fan of the tremolo especially compared to G&Ls
Hey I absolutely loved your review of the Squire Jag, I think you have me sold...I'm just a little hung up on the stigma of Squire vs Fender, but maybe I shouldn't worry so much about labels. You mentioned the Squire weighed a little over 8 pounds, how does the Player compare weight-wise? I tried out a Squire at a shop today and it was actually comfortable, I have a bad back so weight is definitely an issue.
I just got one of these today (came from Guitar Center), lister in “good” condition, came in excellent condition. It’s great other than the Pau Ferro which I’m using Montypresso on. Love it.
I just got this guitar (tidepool finish) and I was pretty scared of the fret finish, mine were spotless. I wanted to upgrade the pickups but actually I no longer feel the need, I just added the metal plates to make it look like a classic jaguar. I really love this guitar.
That’s good to hear.. there seems to be real mixed reports. Probably 50 percent describing the frets as terrible and the other half saying they’re great. Glad you got a good one and the metal plates make it look so much better
Hey dude where did u get the metal plates?? I’m thinking of buying this and I want to add the metal plates to secure that classic Jaguar look rather than a jazzmaster
Glad I saw this. If I were to get the Player, I'd probably order from Sweetwater if you're familiar with them. They tend to be pretty good with quality control and are supposedly known to not mess around and send guitars back to the factory often. Where did you get your Player from? It'd definitely make sense if you ordered it straight from Fender. Damn, I really loved the Sonic Red color on the Player and I planned on replacing the black pickguard with a white one for a badass vintage look. But it seems like all the signs are pointing towards the Blacktop now. Can't say I'm disappointed though when the black-chrome combo looks great and I'd get it at a much cheaper price. Thanks for the video man, love the quality and detail of your reviews and I'll be sure to stick around for more.
Josh Falejczyk - thanks Josh, unfortunately there’s not many shops even open the box and check the guitars these days. Quality definitely seems to have gone down hill with these guitars. I’m going to post another vid of this player Jag later today. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Lord Fuzzman Hey man, not sure if you remember our past conversations about Player vs Blacktop Jaguars or not but I'm happy to say after like 8 months of searching for a good deal, I finally got a Blacktop Jaguar. Jeez, this thing plays nice, I just love it. Unfortunately the seller was a little careless and it got damaged in the shipping, but it looks like Reverb will cover the repairs. Regardless, I just wanted to thank you for your advice, things really paid off.
Interesting review! I own this Jag in Tidepool Blue, bought second hand, and I've had a wonderful time with the guitar so far overall. I've owned a couple Fender offsets over the years, including a Squier VM Jaguar, Fender Jagstang & a Fender Pawn Shop Super-Sonic. I do agree It has its shortcomings in terms of the overall fret finish. I needed to do a basic set-up to get it playing as well as my other guitars but overall I've been really happy with it. It looks great & when dialled in right it has tone, spank and clarity in spades. I love the satin finish on the neck, felt really comfortable with the pau ferro fretboard along with a killer body colour & finish. Definitely better than any Squier Jag I've played and worthy of the Fender logo (despite a slightly naff quality control on the part of Fender here). Would I say that you could buy a better Jaguar? Sure. And chrome control plates would've been nice for the original vintage vibe. But I figured at the right price, second hand, it's a nice Jaguar for anyone who wants an interesting looking / modern Fender Jag on a budget and definitely a great modding platform as well.
I own that guitar too, actually bought it new. And I really thought those sharp frets sucked, cause I'm kinda a "thumb over fretboard player", so the sharp frets would be there where my knuckle is. So I went on amazon bought a fret leveling kit and the problem was solved. I mean yeah, that kit was like 15€, but I wanted that guitar and I think even beginner can handle filing them a bit down at the edge, so I don't know where huge problem is. I mean the guitar is 600 bucks I get you, but after 15 bucks more the problem is solved. And until now I haven't had any other problems with the guitar.
@@LordFuzzman I'd like to see a guitar playthrough of Danny Nedelko! Also, have you checked out a band called Shame? They're a great new band with loads of energy. Really good live.
You're spot on about the rough fretwork but from other reviews I already half expected that when I ordered mine. As I'm a guitar repair guy it was no big deal and took 15 mins to sort out. I also swapped the bridge out for a Staytrem one but not because of intonation, which was spot on even with the stock bridge, but because the screws on the stock one buzzed and rattled like a bastard. I changed the trem for a proper one with the lock button too. Oh, and swapped out the tuners for vintage style split posts. Despite all the tweaking to get it how I like it (which I've had to do with every guitar I've owned in the last 20 years) I love the Player Jag. The old pickup switching and tone circuit just annoys the fuck out of me and I much prefer the splittable bridge humbucker and single coil neck pup. In fact, this guitar is the most fun to play of anything I've had in decades. Some killer sounds to be had.
Was listening to this instead of watching. I was like “Is he playing Never Fight a Man with a Perm”. Then I saw your shirt. Fucking love this review almost as much as I love IDLES.
Thanks buddy, glad someone recognised the Idles riffs, love them. My last video was how to play Danny Nedelko. Thanks again for checking out the channel 👌
I had a discount coupon so I threw caution to the wind and ordered the Sonic Red version. I've been trying my best not to return it (adjusted the pickup heights, struggled with intonation, which is still not perfect, oiled the fret board, etc) but I think it's going back. I really want to like this guitar but it is not fun to play and sounds cheap. No fret sprouting for me but the top of the frets are all super rough and scrape against the string bends. Bummer.
I've just got a blue player jaguar, mail order from Dawsons at their ridiculous stock clearance price. Their is absolutely nothing wrong with the frets, the ends are not unfinished and sharp, they are all bevelled. Sure they could be polished a bit more but they are nothing like you imply.
*This whole channel is Heaven, definitely a Subscription. Mr. Fuzzman, did you try American Pro Jaguar? It would be awesome to hear your opinion on that guitar, you have great experience with offsets Thanks for your vids! *And double thanks for attention
Vladimir Gurov - thanks for your kind words. I have played the American Pro Jazzmaster but not the Am Pro Jaguar. I’m sure it’s a great guitar, I’ll try and borrow one for a video soon 👍🏻
I always appreciate you demoing Cure tracks. I LOVE "Three Imaginary Boys." Thanks for the review. I think I'll hold off and wait on the Squier Classic Vibe Jag that's coming out this year.
Nice and honest review. Personally I had no issues with the fret ends on mine. They were smooth. Had the pots replaced by CTS pots and upgraded the output jack to a solid one (Neutrik). Plays like a dream and I like the humbucker in the bridge. Just offers more balls in sound. Thinking of adding a chrome plate in the top area (the one from the American Pro seems like it should fit). Just miss some chrome 😉
Max Wehmut - thanks buddy. I think I may have ended up with a dud that got passed quality control some how. I’ve heard several people say their frets were fine! It’s like a lot of guitars, with a few mods they are great/keepers!! Those mods you’ve done sound great! It’s
Thank you so much for making this video. I was actually debating whether or not I wanted a Fender Jaguar or a Squire and now I know! Also glad that I discovered your channel, you deserve way more subscribers. Anyways, much love from Washington DC.. cheers!
This was an important viddy for me as I really like the setup on these.. deep clean glassy jag on the neck and grittier bridge for all the styles you showed nicely. I really don't sub much but I'm about to get serious about my current CP MIM JM S. Thanks a lot I will keep tuned into what you are up to. (tho I did trust you straight away about the frets... maybe a nice way to include the fam? idk ; )
Is there a squire jazz or jag model you (or anyone) would recommend over these player series ? I’ve played the j mascis jazz and for me the neck was too wide, but I’ve always wanted decent offset body fender and I’ve looked at a lot of models in the sub $750 range.
I bought the stratocaster player series HSS . I own Prs , Godin, Gibson, Ibanez and 2 fenders Tele and American strat. My player series is a good one I guess. The fret ends are well done and the action and intonation is all good. I think it's a luck of the draw....and it shouldn't be that way. Sorry you got a lemon bro. I subbed . Shred on!!!
They lie ohio - thanks buddy, yeah I’ve heard there’s quite a lot of inconsistency with these which is a shame. It’s easy enough to sort out and most likely a duff one that escaped QC 👍🏻... I’ve just ordered the new classic vibe Jag, it’ll be interesting to see how it compares!
I liked this reveiw mostly because he palyed a bunch of dissonant shit thats closer to what i like to play than most reviewers. That alone made me sub.
I started playing guitar last x-mas.i always wanted a Jag so I got a player sun burst jag.yup.the finish on the frets is not great and I wish I had those cool little switches to play with.but I love my guitar.upgraded thiscyear to the American pro 11 jazzmaster.truly a thing of beauty.but I'll never part with my 1st jag.⭐
This is the second video I've heard about the fret finishing problem. This video shows the same issue. I wonder if its a quality control problem. ua-cam.com/video/WOd2S_bfbSY/v-deo.html
Matt DeLand - Yeah it’s def QC, it’s really common on Mexican guitars in particular the player series. Squier almost always has a better fret finish. It’s not that difficult to sort out yourself but that’s not the point. Hope the feedback gets back to them eventually.
i’m looking into buying an electric guitar and i really like the jaguars. i have an acoustic and i’m a beginner but i’m dedicated to learning and playing and i want an electric guitar that will last long. i’m stuck between the fender player jaguar and the squier jaguar and based on my situation i really don’t know what to go with. i’m willing to pay extra for more features and better quality but i’m not sure how different they actually are. any opinions? thanks
Hi Rachel, personally I don’t believe the player Jaguar is worth the extra money. The quality really isn’t much better. The main issues with Jaguars as a beginner is that they really need setting up properly to play nicely. The majority of the time they are not set up properly from the factory and people have issues with the bridge mainly. They are kinda something you have to work at but end up loving. You don’t really get this with other guitar but it’s down to the old design I guess. If you are a beginner and looking at a short scale offset similar to the Jaguar. Maybe consider the Squier mustang ?
Tried a couple this morning and got one,the fretwork was well finished no problems at all, tried the Squier as well and got the Player one, pity for the block Inlays and binding on the Squier,it's way better looking than the Player's one but the neck was perfect and the "switching" in the Player Mexican is much better than the old style, just my two cents, you probably got a dud guitar, did you buy it online without trying it?
Gautama Sakyamuni thanks for the messages I’ve had quite a few New Mexican guitars like this. Some good some terrible, the luck of buying online but it’s fairly easy to fix so doesn’t bother me too much
Hello Lord Fuzzman ! Nice video ! I really want to get a Jaguar since a long time but I can't decide with this Player series or the squier jaguar 2019 classic vibes 70, what do you think ?
Great video mate. I'm here in Burbank Ca. I payed $700 for a MIM Deluxe Nashville Telecaster. The fret ends were ok. Not great but. The Best MIM's I bought used for $300 Both 2002's one's a Classic 60's my brother (Bless his Heart) paid $750 with case & let me get away with it for only $300. The other is a Royal Blue Satin Series. The finish is like a sand blasted feel. Holds no finger prints. Fret ends were pretty good on the 2002's, oh how thing's have changed? No sir Your lucky to have a Great Team for Fret end Discernment 😕. I would love to find a Jaguar Guitar for $300? Japanese probably much more? to go with the Squire 5 string vm Jaguar Bass I luckily got for $199 in Transparent Red open box off Reverb. I'll see if I can find a MIJ Jaguar that won't cost $1000? Thank's for your insight. Happy New Year from Across the Pond.
I was all for this, until I saw the neck. I'm a bit gutted to be honest. I don't have the skill or inclination to fix it. I'd be too concerned i'd screw it up.
Can someone recommend me good pots and input jack? Kinda want to use a 500k for the humbucker and a 250k for the single coil. I know it will output at like 350k but if anyone knows something good for that please help.
@@LordFuzzman I was 8 years old when it came out and I didn't go near the water for two years after that movie. Jaws 2 came out and I was scared of electrical wires. I loved Planet of The Apes but is it wrong I had mixed feelings about Zira? I mean they were trying to play up her sexuality and it almost got me, though I wouldn't have been opposed to a bikini spread of her. DON'T JUDGE ME!
@@LordFuzzman Really wow. I saw one just like this on Gumtree - a couple of months old but about AUD $100 cheaper than the shop. But the J Mascis Squier Jazzmaster is cheaper again (Alas I am stuck at home locked down so I can't try something at a shop, but I want a new guitar)
I guess you think Jag classic player is much better... Unfortunately I always heard reviews with a so fuzzy sound that I think you can't find strat clean sounds on it, or anyway use it properely even just for clean sounds, it seems to be a more "for distorted use" guitar... Can u confirm this or not? Thanx in advance.
Scottie Lambert: I guess we call a turd (shit) a turd and don’t wrap it in shiny paper like you guys tend to do! 😉 Loving the 150 year old Reference to British sailors keeping up with their vitamin C too, no one likes scurvy! 👍🏻
Every Squier I've owned had better fit and finish and attention to detail than any Fender I've had. It doesn't really make sense and it's one of the things that pisses me off about Fender.
Awesome review bro. I’d definitely pass on this player series. It’s sad that the Squiers have better quality control. I’ll definitely stick with my Classic Player. ✌️🎸
Lord Fuzzman I’ve heard that the Squier VM Jags are better than these. But I love everything about my classic player. It feels and plays great. It’s perfect for getting my heavy punk sounds and some surf too. It’s great. I really want a classic player jazzmaster someday.
okay, so im turning 20 years old 11 November. And i want to get myself a great guitar for my birthday gift, i always wanted a Jaguar because i feel like they are so underground. Im really into Pink Floyd, etc but for that kinda music i know i should probably get a stratocaster right? BUT, i also want to play some alternative rock aswell. And i really wonder what kind of Jaguar should i get if i want to get that 90s ... Grunge/ Alternative Rock sound? I want the kind of Jaguar i can use in studio for professional recordings.
Kindergarten - difficult one! This one would be good but I’d want to upgrade the bridge and the tuners. I guess it depends if you want a humbucker or not. Maybe you should get a strat with a. Cool tapable bridge then you can do your punk Floyd and the 90s alt rock too?
Kindergarten - I love the Japanese fenders. The necks play really nice, the only issue is the electrics and the pickups are not great. Once you have upgraded these which isn’t that expensive it normally still works out cheaper than a USA so can be the best option !
@@LordFuzzman Alright, thank you so much! I'll go with the CIJ Jaguar then, and i'll customize the pickups for my preference:-) Have a great day, you're channel is really great!!
God damn it. I cannot for the life of me intonate this guitar. Sick of this crap. I've ordered a Staytrem and I'll be burning the stock bridge to hell where it will stay.
@@LordFuzzman I've just installed the Staytrem on my Jaguar and the difference is clear as day! I can actually hear my guitar in tune and there's no fretbuzz whatsoever!! Fender make some amazing guitars but some God damn awful bridges! I am one happy StayTrem customer!!
@@MrFart-in6gj the player series was notoriously hit and miss on quality control. Some were great some were awful. Pretty similar to the current Squier jaguars. This is an old video but I was making a point that for the money Fender should pull their finger out 👍🏻
Good grief! Fender's selling guitars that haven't been finished and Squire is finishing their guitars... Something's wrong in this world, WTH Just like how I'd love to have a Cobain Jaguar for the tonal abilities, but I'm not spending *$1200* on a Mexican Fender with ROSEWOOD. Cheapskates... When they surpassed the intro to the American line with ROSEWOOD and Johnny Marr's within $500 of that Mexican Fender.
If you’re a nerd or just play guitar save your money and get a Squier Jaguar 👌 unless you can pick one up cheap! Just wouldn’t pay that much for a new one as the quality control is crap on the player series. 😘

Vladimir Gurov - thanks for your kind words. I have played the American Pro Jazzmaster but not the Am Pro Jaguar. I’m sure it’s a great guitar, I’ll try and borrow one for a video soon 👍🏻
@@LordFuzzman Thanks for the reply! Will be looking forward to see it
I always appreciate you demoing Cure tracks.
I LOVE "Three Imaginary Boys."
Thanks for the review. I think I'll hold off and wait on the Squier Classic Vibe Jag that's coming out this year.
Xzavier C - Thanks buddy, yeah I’ve ordered a classic vibe Jag will put a review up as soon as I get it!!
@@LordFuzzman also stoked about the Bass VI and 70s Tele Deluxe. x.x
It’s
Lord Fuzzman could be. But I read more on poor fretwork on these. Nice vid on the classic vibe jag by the way
Max Wehmut thanks v much 🙏🏻
What is the first song riff he does
Just something simple I made up on the spot at the time 👍🏻
4:17 what is that song the riff is awesome. Great review also 👍
Adam Davies ‘Ever fallen in love’ by The Buzzcocks. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
I’m thinking about buying an electro guitar but I couldn’t decide yet in between this one and PRS se custom 24
a Jaguar without having both of the main two chrome control plates?! wtf?! gah! nasty
How easy is it to turn it.. To a more traditional looking jaguar with the chrome plates. As it looks better imo. Where can you buy those?
Thank you so much for making this video. I was actually debating whether or not I wanted a Fender Jaguar or a Squire and now I know! Also glad that I discovered your channel, you deserve way more subscribers. Anyways, much love from Washington DC.. cheers!
FFFBleus - Thanks for the kind words buddy. Which Jaguar are you gonna pick? 😉
(tho I did trust you straight away about the frets... maybe a nice way to include the fam? idk ; )
LeMTails thanks buddy glad you enjoyed the video, lots more on the way 👍🏻
Is there a squire jazz or jag model you (or anyone) would recommend over these player series ? I’ve played the j mascis jazz and for me the neck was too wide, but I’ve always wanted decent offset body fender and I’ve looked at a lot of models in the sub $750 range.
Would u recommend this guitar or the latest classic vibe jaguar?
bumboileo - Personally I would save your money and get the classic vibe Jaguar 👍🏻
Lord Fuzzman thanks man appreciate it
Unless you bought the hello kitty new, how do we know it didn't have a little touch up done on the frets? Just a thought.
Yeah true but It was more to show how crap the finish on the player was 😝
I bought the stratocaster player series HSS .
@@LordFuzzman cant wait for that vid.
I liked this reveiw mostly because he palyed a bunch of dissonant shit thats closer to what i like to play than most reviewers. That alone made me sub.
4:17 Stiff Dylans song?
Fruscianteeey 18 - Noooo it’s ‘Ever fallen in love’ by The Buzzcocks!!
Your kids are hilarious, great review! Thank you!!
i’m looking into buying an electric guitar and i really like the jaguars. i have an acoustic and i’m a beginner but i’m dedicated to learning and playing and i want an electric guitar that will last long.
i’m stuck between the fender player jaguar and the squier jaguar and based on my situation i really don’t know what to go with. i’m willing to pay extra for more features and better quality but i’m not sure how different they actually are.
any opinions?
How can it not be intonated?
Beaulieu Mickael well it depends if you want that humbucker sound like you get in the player series. Personally I prefer the classic vibe!
@@LordFuzzman Oh thank you ! I'll go for the classic vibe then !
CTS pots 👌
@@LordFuzzman thanks homie!
I enjoyed the video but all I could think of is "you're gonna need a bigger boat".
YouFlatBro ? Ha ha... everyone loves Jaws?
@@LordFuzzman I was 8 years old when it came out and I didn't go near the water for two years after that movie. Jaws 2 came out and I was scared of electrical wires.
I loved Planet of The Apes but is it wrong I had mixed feelings about Zira? I mean they were trying to play up her sexuality and it almost got me, though I wouldn't have been opposed to a bikini spread of her. DON'T JUDGE ME!
Is the J Mascis better? Same price, but Squire
Shastica God yeah, J Mascis is in a different league to this 👍🏻
@@LordFuzzman Really wow. I saw one just like this on Gumtree - a couple of months old but about AUD $100 cheaper than the shop. But the J Mascis Squier Jazzmaster is cheaper again (Alas I am stuck at home locked down so I can't try something at a shop, but I want a new guitar)
Harry Flashman J Mascis all day long!! 👍🏻
The fret ends on my Player Jaguar were and are fine thus far.
''offset guitar fan in controversy after forcing his young children to engage in hand cutting product quality control exercise''
Iggytommy - yeah that’s the new household punishment.. “Stop mis-behaving or you’ll play that Jaguar”!
@@LordFuzzman - ''I vil subject you to ze strangle function! muahaha''
@@LordFuzzman ''put your hooded mask on and stay quiet in the cupboard. Don't talk about this at school''
A bit pricey for what you actually get. Jags look cool but are a pain in the ass with those saddles.
Jules Vox - yup I always swap the bridge for a staytrem which sorts out all those issues!
I think the class is player is much better quality build than this one. I guss this one is better for distorted but both can do clean no problem!
Playing the Buzzcocks awesome
I do love the linguistic liquidity that limeys employ. There is an economy in the language. No, I guess value is the word I'm looking for.
Scottie Lambert: I guess we call a turd (shit) a turd and don’t wrap it in shiny paper like you guys tend to do! 😉 Loving the 150 year old Reference to British sailors keeping up with their vitamin C too, no one likes scurvy! 👍🏻
how heavy is it?
Every Squier I've owned had better fit and finish and attention to detail than any Fender I've had. It doesn't really make sense and it's one of the things that pisses me off about Fender.
Pay Ferro is literally tonally nearly the same as ebony. The hardness is nearly the same.
Great video, thanks a lot for that - I had a go with one and completely agree on the sharp frets. Also the strings still popped out on hard bends.
Nice idles shirt!
Is there a way of contacting #sturevolusson to ask him how he modified his New Mexican Jag so that there is a chrome plate over the upper switch?
matthew cohen - Sure. Join the offset guitars group on Facebook. He’s one of the members! 👍🏻
Maybe it's too late but I can help you as well.
@@matthewcohen7488 i meant that I could help you ( I’ve already done the mod)
Solid review as always
I personally hate Jaguars with non traditional switching and humbuckers so this one is a pass for me.(nice Idles shirt btw)
Allan Murder .. thanks buddy.. I can see you’re clearly a man of taste. Think I’m gonna do an Idles cover/play along soon. Any requests?
Either Almost Had To Start A Fight/In And Out Of Patience or Total Football by Parquet Courts would be interesting songs to do
Where did you get the gold guard for the squier ?
I’ve got quite a few of them, think that one came off of a J Mascis Jazzmaster!
@@LordFuzzman did you sand it? For the vintage look?
Awesome review bro. I’d definitely pass on this player series. It’s sad that the Squiers have better quality control. I’ll definitely stick with my Classic Player. ✌️🎸
James_ 42_Art Thanks James, the classic player just feels like a world ahead in terms of quality 👍🏻
Lord Fuzzman I’ve heard that the Squier VM Jags are better than these. But I love everything about my classic player. It feels and plays great. It’s perfect for getting my heavy punk sounds and some surf too. It’s great. I really want a classic player jazzmaster someday.
The bad fretwork doesn't surprise me. After hundreds of guitars from all brands i quit up with Fender. The price and quality has no healthy balance.
Would you go for a squire vintage modified over a classic player jag?
kidpresentable - that’s a difficult one, I guess it would depend on price and looks. Both are really cool guitars for the money!
Absolutely!
okay, so im turning 20 years old 11 November.
@@LordFuzzman Thank you Mr Fuzzman. BUT, what about "Crafted In Japan" Jaguars? Whats difference between those and an American made Jaguar, really?
Kindergarten - I love the Japanese fenders. The necks play really nice, the only issue is the electrics and the pickups are not great. Once you have upgraded these which isn’t that expensive it normally still works out cheaper than a USA so can be the best option !
@@LordFuzzman Alright, thank you so much! I'll go with the CIJ Jaguar then, and i'll customize the pickups for my preference:-) Have a great day, you're channel is really great!!
Idles
I’ve done and sold and got a MIJ
Haayyy my favorate demo guy
God damn it. I cannot for the life of me intonate this guitar. Sick of this crap. I've ordered a Staytrem and I'll be burning the stock bridge to hell where it will stay.
Eric CPOP The Staytrem should help a lot. I don’t know why but these guitars just seem to be plagued with problems
Eric CPOP yep, that’s why all my guitars have been fitted with them. Simple engineering that fixes the problems in one quick hit 👌
@@MrFart-in6gj the player series was notoriously hit and miss on quality control. Some were great some were awful. Pretty similar to the current Squier jaguars. This is an old video but I was making a point that for the money Fender should pull their finger out 👍🏻
Ty for being hinest
Good grief! Fender's selling guitars that haven't been finished and Squire is finishing their guitars...
Something's wrong in this world, WTH
Just like how I'd love to have a Cobain Jaguar for the tonal abilities, but I'm not spending *$1200* on a Mexican Fender with ROSEWOOD.
Cheapskates... When they surpassed the intro to the American line with ROSEWOOD and Johnny Marr's within $500 of that Mexican Fender.
I’m not interested in the opinion of a gear nerd. Jags are iconic.
They are, I have several 👌
@@LordFuzzman :p I appreciate the light hearted reply to my s**tpost
So if you’re a nerd it’s bad but if you just play guitar it’s awesome alright cool
If you’re a nerd or just play guitar save your money and get a Squier Jaguar 👌 unless you can pick one up cheap! Just wouldn’t pay that much for a new one as the quality control is crap on the player series. 😘
@@LordFuzzman too late my dude
:/ theres probably a more scientific way to compare the frets.
Legato Modi - you only need to look at them 😂
Intonation is off? Then fix it before you do a review. That was horrendous
Snypler - the whole point of that, was that the bridge wouldn’t properly intonate it was shit, so I wanted to show it!!! I swapped it for a Staytrem after shooting the video and it was spot on. 👍🏻
got one for to remplace my squier and the bridge is complete dogshit always moving
