OMG!!! Today is the day I’ve been waiting for, dreaming of and working hard to achieve!
It’s our closing day and to say things were an absolute pleasure would be a lie! We were faced with an unexpected additional amount needed for pur closing cost which caused me to stress. Not that we couldn’t omplete the transaction but we were expecting to have that extra money for appliances, perhaps to be ahead in our mortage or even to go to our future bills so having to dip further into pur savings was not a good feeling.
But we realized that we had come too far to turn back, so I cried and then completed all the transactions.
And now we have the keys to our very own, very first home and it feels marvelous.

While in the process people would ask me if I was excited and I often times would compared it to labor. Like while you are having contractions are you “excited” yes and no..lol Yes because you know the end result is near but no because on the way to the end it’s painful, costly, and a lot of uncertainty.

Congrats!! Let’s go!!! Happy happy! The devil was trying to slow you guys down with that wallet situation but he/she is a LIAR! That off market place I told you about we got offer accepted!! We are going to get an inspection on Wednesday. It’s so surreal. Can’t sleep without thinking of the house. Only went to see houses one day and fell in love with this house.

@@teaque919 hey!! We actually just got back word today that we are moving to contract. The sellers were dragging their feet a little before because one more family member that was still living there needed to find somewhere to live. They finally got an apartment so now we are moving forward. We are so excited to move to the next part of the journey

@@sgirl3041 The housing market is so crazy right now. So many homes we saw had little space and massive problems for so much money and if you want a new build you will be paying over $500K. We looked for about 3 months before finding our home and while we didn’t expect to be in Eastern Long Island, considering the taxes and amount of space we got we jumped at this home. We’re in a condo community so we have awesome amenities and great room for just the two of us! Let me know how your search is coming along.
