My husband and I went to many TDN concerts over the years. We saw many shows with Cory Wells, Jimmy Greenspoon, Michael Allsup, Paul Kingery, Pat Bautz, and Danny Hutton. If you like TDN, I wish you could have seen that group together. Thanks for doing this review.
I your channel. I am 60 years old now Live in Seattle, but grew up in Milwaukee and have seen hundreds of shows at Summerfest, Mecca Arena, Auditorium, all kinds of clubs. From 1977-1985. Then I moved to Madison.
My first concert was in 1971 and it was Three Dog Night. If you think they sound good with Danny Hutton, you should of heard and seen them in St Paul, MN in 1971. Besides the three singers, they were an unbelievable band with Foyd Sneed on drums. I saw them at least a half a dozen times after my first concert. They did three costume changes and had The Wizard on keyboards. The cost of the ticket...$3. And boy did we get our money's worth. To this day, I still listen to their greatest hits c/d. I can drum all their songs and consider them one of my biggest influences from the 60's & 70's. Joy To the World!!
Sweet! I am just learning Road to Shambala as we speak. We have a Natty Nite Out celebration at our loft complex in August, and I plan to play it then.
One more: I liked and subscribed as I appreciate and agree with your sentiments and insight. Three Dog Night (it only took me into my 30’s to figure out their name references a cold Native night requiring the heat of 3 sled dogs to keep a body warm, haha.) is definitely a band I tend to forget a bit, then, realize, wait…I love SO many of their songs!? Seems in the 60’s one could make a mark covering Bob Dylan (Byrds, Jimi H.) and it was all well and good…haha. Of course, I don’t consider myself a major Stones fan. I only really like…then, I count…30 or so of their songs a lot. Oh. I guess I am a pretty big fan, after all. Huh. Kind of sneaks up on a guy. (As well as Shambalal, working on a few Keith Richard’s sung Stones songs. Got the Silver and Make Me Run are on the docket!) More than anything, I resonate with your thought “why not shout out and give credit to the composers that created your hits?” If I ever have the honor and privilege of putting out an album, it would have perhaps 1/3 covers I love playing. And. With each cover, a note saying “Hello, Mr. or Ms. DJ! If you are playing this track, thank you! Please be certain to state on air that this is a cover of a Patty Smith song first released in 1975 on the album Horses. Thanks again! 🙏🏽✌🏽💙.”
I saw them two years ago in Myrtle Beach and I went to see them again this year. They were absolutely horrible this year. That guy's voice was so shrill I had to leave.

My wife and I Love Three Dog Night. We’ve listened since we were teens. Thank you for the review.
And we are in our late sixties so we’re originals. 👍

Who's voice? Danny Hutton's? Or David Morgan?
This is not 3 dog night.
